Deselect the "Red Clip 0db button" turn up the input to get the "4th light" above 0 flickering. Adjust the output to match the volume. Then select "Red Clip 0db button" adjust effect to around 100% and Curve above arrows for bright and below for dark is the way to magic....

So the oxford inflater is just a waveshaper, and melda audios free wave shaper can do the same just 99$ cheaper! There is alot of videos on youtube with people nullifying the inflator with the melda waveshaper.

So this is good to use on individual channels for mixing rather then mastering? Better the abletons saturator? Thanks if anyone answers

btw Ableton's Saturator on the Soft Sine setting has the exact same effect, confimed by that phase cancelation trick

I love these daft videos that post "Settings" for plugins like this... as if any of those settings will work perfectly on anything but the exact songs from the screenshots

32 bit float point standard cant get here soon enough imho. You should be aiming for the preservation of dynamics, instrument separation, and depth of soundstage. Not loudness. Most people making music don't even know how to properly set-up a set of speakers in a room for proper soundstage presentation to begin with though. They hit a vague presentation of an invisible center channel, or just use headphones along side no reference point, then wonder why their shit don't pop on a proper sound system and the changes they make dont translate well. If you cant hear a sound getting further away from you if you drop level and add reverb, or if you move an IR microphone "further back".... If you cannot immediately tell a vocalist got further away from you when they took a step back from the mic... your speakers are not set up properly. Even cheap passive bookshelf speakers can achieve this just fine if you nail room and speaker setup. Making changes to the placement/panning of instruments, and the associated eq changes so they sit how you want without a properly set-up soundstage or imaging will not translate to systems that are set up properly. And idc if things seem to move in your headphones, if you are not using Planar driver headphones with some sort of crossfeed enabled capability, you do not have a soundstage and you do not have accurate to life high end. Period. It isn't possible, physics is against you there. I cannot stress this enough, there is a lot of good music out there that sounds great in my car or on bluetooth at work, and i love it, but i cant listen to it on my proper system at home at all because it's just a loud, dynamically squashed mess in a flat wall of sound you can't get and real depth out of no matter how much you try to. I dont like being able to tell immediately when a cool new track i found played at home was mixed on headphones or near field monitors 10" from the wall and then "mastered" (dynamically squashed to 95db) into oblivion. It just doesn't sound good on proper equipment and there is absolutely nothing that should be stopping anyone from understanding this part of production. It's literally Step 1 in producing music 101. Soundstage and Imaging. Step 2 should be understanding dynamics and their role in a given piece, and instrument placement/separation. Sorry for ranting on your video, but it is getting harder every day to find properly produced music. That being said, the plug ins probably sick and ill check it out. I just had a hunch with the way this video is being titled and recommended, there's prob some in this crowd that will benefit from reading this.
