Exactly, I kept telling people this and they never believed me. I think they will return someday, in the final Splatoon game maybe? Or just in the next game because there aren’t any other Splatoon 1 maps to bring back
@@RoxletonMario games are different though. Super Mario is a franchise that’ll probably not end until the next century or even after that, if ever. Splatoon will definitely end someday though. The Splatoon games are way different. They’re all connected to each other, and they multiplayer games. Super Mario is a singleplayer/co-op platformer franchise. Every game has a different gimmick and they’re mostly not connected.
@@Olavi_VLIi.47 the STORY is connected to each other. theres always new ways to improve and make the game different (whether it’s adding modes, or changing mechanics). These games print cash, they aren’t just gonna throw it all out.
So this is my own complete speculation, but the final fest is happening in about a month, and another creator pointed out it was weird how soon it was and also that there wouldn’t be anything for the anniversary happening next year. Maybe these two will be dropped as an extra bonus for the 10th anniversary! It’s a big milestone which needs a big celebration, and yes the final content update happened but Nintendo has several switch games that got content after their end day, so maybe we’ll get to see these return! (Also would kinda like salt spray rig, but that’s just my nostalgia for it talking)
Personally I always thought that eeltail alley and scorch gorge kind of shared the spotlight as splatoon three's staple stages, because eeltail was shown in the second trailer and honestly fits splatsville much better
i had high hopes for these two and snapper canal at the turn of the year but then they dropped to 1 map per season... seemingly just to make the recon menu not flow into a 3rd page
Well yeah if the didnt have any symmetry then one team would have to have an advantage, the ‘assymetrical’ stages are just symmetrical in a different direction.
i think you're on to something with this tbh. also the comment about nostalgia bait you made is also pretty valid considering the series is almost 10 years old
I feel like that could be Nintendo’s reasoning, but at the same time if that is the case then I say that’s bullshit. Especially when they make Splatoon 1 unplayable. Just bring back the damn stages. Just don’t give them Mahi treatment. Don’t give any stage the Mahi treatment
Forget about the reef it only had to wait 1 came lets talk about saltpray rig and urchin they haven't been added to a splatoon game ever urchin underpass and the reef they are the face of the game that they are in tbh i think the starfish map from splatoon 2 would be the cover map but its the reef because of the first trailer saltspray rig has the most noticeable map design but Nintendo could rework the map its not that hard but just don't make it completely different (also keep the elevator and the little crane that has a platform that carries you) Not promising but maybe splatoon 4 would bring the maps back but because of the grand festival I don't know if they will bring the maps back but there's only a few maps from previous splatoon games they could add to 4 including new maps of course.
Its mirror symmetry instead of rotational symmetry, which would be fine except the player characters are right handed and can peek around corners. This is fine for rotational symmetry, but mirror symmetry means that players can't peek the same on both sides, possibly being unfair. Additionally, saltspray rig's top area has some assymetrically placed blocks that don't fit the mirror symmetry. (So does skipper pavillion in some cases but those were made assymetrical to try and combat imbalance)
