I'm also Congolese. I'm married to a Kenyan and living in London. I've visited Kenya twice and love it so much. We're working hard to start investing in Kenya so that we can settle there when our children start university. We cannot wait to settle nyumbani.
I have stayed abroad for many years now I realised that back in Kenya we are lucky to have good weather, food, freedom, i want to settle down in Kenya.let Jesus find me in Kenya when he coming back i don't want to ever travel again
Am Kenyan but not living in Kenya but after leaving Lenua is when I appreciated Kenya. Kenyans excel everywhere they go, even the ones that are considered as " below average" Kenya is making Kenyans that have something unique in them!!! Shout out to Kenya, shout out to Kenyans. Lets pray for our leaders they are our only weak link. But God's grace is sufficient.
To all our brothers and sisters in the Diaspora (AA/Black Americans, Afro Caribbean, Afro Brazilians, Afro Colombians can't exhaust the list),, this is your motherland, and feel much loved 🥰
One thing that I miss about Kenya is always feeling at home. In America as an Black person, you never quite feel like you belong. You're always feeling out of place or like an "other", even in the most diverse cities. Thats the number 1 reason why I want to come back home.
I live in Europe but it is the same thing. No one accepts you. They are interested in their own people. We Kenyans think going to other countries is winning when most people suffer so much but never tell this to people back home. It is not easy living outside your country.
@manuelmachariar4968, I believe you've experienced both lives, Kenya and outside, in which case you can judge a better one, just come back if you think it's better here, I however assure you that changes are very minimal here in Kenya.
I am not Kenyan but I am African and I love Kenya and what is happening in Kenya both politically and and economically. The people are hard at work to improve their lot.❤❤
Thank you for loving our country. May I please remind everyone that there are 54 countries in Africa. Consider moving to other African countries as well. They may not be well known, popular or heard of but that doesn't mean they don't exist. Some of them are in fact very stable, peaceful, clean, spacious, well developed countries but just UNKNOWN. We too have been unknown for a while. Kenyans generally do not like to brag, show off, announce their wealth, successes achievements etc. We are not like west Africans. That's why for so many years no one knew or BELIEVED that Kenya was a good, well developed, financially stable country. It's only recently that people have started discovering that Kenya is a haven. Now, listen to me please. If you are coming here, you better be on your best behavior. If you come here with nonsense, we will send you back. You get here, you must work like everyone else. There are no freebies here. NO FREE HOUSING, no free EBT cards, no free healthcare, no handouts, no free land. Do not come here with a criminal mind (Nigerians listen to me very carefully, tutawafundisha cha mtemakuni !!! We cannot have you come here to kill our women or our landlords or to do your scam activities. Nigerians, you hear me?? African Americans, if you come here, you are going to work whether you like it or not. To all others that would love to come here, please, please please, do not hesitate to pack your bags and come here. Our hands are open, eagerly awaiting to welcome you to this beautiful country. Please when you get here, RESPECT our culture, our values, our traditions, our languages, our tribes, our leaders (however bad they may be) our flag, our women, and our food. I repeat OUR FOOD. If you don't like the way we season our foods, buy your own seasoning/spices and make food in your own hotel, apt, or air BnB. You are not going to INSULT US for preparing, seasoning and eating our food the way we want. Again buy spices from local and international stores all over this country and season or cook your food the way you want. This is a nation of marathon CHAMPIONS so you are going to respect our food values. Karens, if you are on your way here, be advised, you are not coming here to teach us anything. If anything, we are the ones that are going to teach you something. Do you hear me people??????
You are a great woman Madam and welcome to Kenya, your roots. No any other country is as welcoming and loving in Africa as Kenya is. Ignore the political shenanigans because such never miss everywhere but overall, we are a cool citizenry to accommodate all and sundry.
I'm an African-American male, in my 40s. If I was talking to that lady, I would have told the truth about America, I think she (the guess) held back. The guess should have let the host know that America, is not all that great, and that America mainly hates Native Americans and African Americans. America is only trying to exterminate two groups: Native Americans and African Americans. The guess should have mentioned, that America, is probably the most anti black country in the whole world. She severed her country (America) so it's probably tough for her to speak on this. Throughout history, a lot of African Americans have severed a country (America) that never really fought for them, but mainly only sought to sabotage us and our families. Now, that's the real America. I'm not saying all people are like this in America, but collectively, yes, that's how and what America is...a big anti black country, that goes around the world, messing with and sabotaging other countries for their own financial gain.
This may be the single most important podcast I could possibly have watched this year! I had already informed the Universe of my intention to come to Kenya by 2025 and when I heard of your guests initiative, I know this is the Universe giving me the nod ❤!!!
Sis! I have been pursuing RU-vid and finding all kinds of tours, and land opportunities in other countries, I was getting restless and started to make other plans because I had not heard anything from Kenya! All praises to the Most High!!!
I have been in UAE and now in USA ,my motherland is still the best only we lack facilities but we have a wonderfull country❤❤God bless Kenya.🙏🏻🙏🏻@lynn keep doing what you do,you are a rare vessel.
Kenya is the country to be in prophecies have been realized over this great great country it doesn't matter how economy looks like kenya is about to shock the world I love kenya am proud to be kenya n wouldn't trade it for any
Prophecies won't be realized with these type of leaders you are electing...yes kenya is way better place than 90% of African countries.....but Kenya is punching below its weight because we are more tribal than we are patriots.....we should be competing with Chile, South Korea, Poland etc....not Ghana or Angola etc

In terms of my takeaways - her work is downright amazing. She is a needed link between the African American diaspora and Kenya / African continent. I see so many stories disparaging AA's who want to visit or return. This story was inspiring and empowering. She is laying important groundwork to counter negative stories and gives a clear road to those of us who want to visit or come home.
I love love this lady for how she has explained to us Kenyans who think America is the land of Milk and Honey....please hear it from an American born citizen. Wake up our people, we have alot to thank God for. Thank you Lynn and may God continue giving you the the wisdom in every episode you bring on your channel.
Man People don’t understand how important identity is‼️‼️I al very proud to be a Kenyan, and working very hard to re-identify again. Manze hakuna nchi ingine kama Kenya. I live my motherland with all my might.
Oh wao, I have been selling Kenya to my African American bros and sisters and I am glad to have somebody taking up the risk to move back to the motherland. I do hope more people will appreciate what we have as Kenyans. Having lived in the Americas for half a decade I can say unequivocally that we have the best country in the world. It doesn’t matter what we have going down, but Kenya is blessed. Moving back permanently next year.
Did you also tell them about tribalism in Kenya....where two communities Kalenjins and Kikuyus thinks that they are the Supreme yet going in history almost all other meaningful gains have been initiated and spearheaded by others they call minority tribes.

It's hard for Africans to travel all over the world but it's easier for foreigners to enter Kenya. That's why Africans have to unite and love each other. We need one Africa. I love Kenya my motherland although i live in Germany. God gave Africans a rich continent but we don't value that till we travel outside. Kenyans are friendly and always welcoming.
This popped in our morning exercises and I was like, been waiting on more people to speak on this! Our sisters and brothers forcefully taken away from the continent need to find glory back, in THEIR OWN LAND! Yes, many have returned, invested back and actually settled. Ghana is leading us on this, we need to welcome them more in Kenya 🇰🇪. Giving such a voice is a fantastic start!
Point of correction! they were not forcefully taken, they were sold by their own Greedy people.....and our forefathers who were involved in this business which made them soo rich, actually they were mourning when the slave trade was abolished....
@leonalee392 This is not entirely true...You need to understand that back then there were distinct kingdoms in Africa. We were not one..These kingdoms were rivals and one kingdom could often capture people from another to enslave them. So the idea of us selling our own is a lie that was told by the white man.
@@brendanjuguna4546 for me i know its not white mans theory,..it was business as usual between the whites and and the Africans...it was was 2way traffic.....our ancestors who were involved in this business were extremely rich for selling their own.....even today its still happening 🙄 eg, the most but not all agents who are taking our brothers and sisters to Gulf and other middle east countries........

Indeed Kenya is One Magical Country with diverse traditions and culture..... accommodating everyone regardless of Race, Colour, & Culture. Gilgil - Ol Kalau Road hosting soo many Black & White Americans who have bought land there & made it their home.... Karibu Wakesho......
Everyone loves Kenya I don't think there's any reason but the people the people in Kenya are so so warm not a brag but it is the truth we don't like visitors coming in and feeling like they are not welcome. We want visitors to feel like they are part of us! It wins us all the time 🎉🎉❤
Except when they are your fellow Africans then y’all are mean. Kenya is slowly becoming what SA is to its fellow African blacks. But y’all sure suck up to white people.
I recently got released from an American Jail and I was surprised to find alot of people interested in relocating to Kenya once they get done with their time
I'm sorry to hear that you were in jail here in the States but so happy you made it out alive!!! I'm sure you have many stories to tell and hopefully you have learned something positive about African Americans. About the people that you met that want to go to Kenya, well that should be a vetting process. Maybe you could start a RU-vid channel! I wish you much success in whatever you choose and again, I'm so happy that you made it back alive, many don't live to tell their story. Peace and love from the US.
@@joeayako3305 In America you can go to jail for very trivial stuff..And I believe majority of Black Americans in jail shouldn't be in prison in the 1st place, the justice system in America is quite skewed against them. And its very difficult even for their most hardened criminals to export their crimes to Africa..Africa will automatically humble em up...
So inspiring! Am living outside Kenya and been planning and working towards returning home and settling down. My sister from another mother has really motivated me to work hardest and return soonest. Thank you Lynn!
A queen👸visiting a queen👸. Lynn another ❤ great 👍🏾episode. Rebuilding and inspire episodes are my favorite. 💝 caramel🍿day, you know what I mean Lynn.😉. I love Kea's self reflection lessons, she has really done the work 🙌. What a lioness 🦁❤ Africans-Americans are welcome in Africa, and must learn as much as they can about all 🌍54 countries, we dont live in trees🪵 and ride 🦓 zebras 😂. ❤ Blessings from South Africa 🇿🇦.
Lynn, we don't wanna leave Kenya. We just want to go out there, get the dollar come back, invest, change our families status and enjoy life here. As she said, making it here is tough and that's what makes US unique.. Home is the best, but a few dollars in the bank makes life beautiful and enjoyable. Shout out the sister for her noble initiative and for you our girl for bringing these amazing people to change our perspectives about our motherland 🙏🙏
Go visit and get ideas! Don't risk one moment of your life here in the US. Africa is on the come up. If you have good ideas and honest intentions you could find business partners with people from other countries. Kenya is the jewel of East Africa!!!
Let me tell you something maybe most of us didn't know this, the Garden of Eden in the Bible was in Africa and it goes deep and explains further that it was at the further East and the country at the further east is Kenya🤷We are blessed and we have the most feared people in the whole world 😂and most generous and friendly at the same t❤❤😊
A very good vision for our girls welcome, hakuna matata, the lifestyle in Kenya is stress free . thank you Lynne I can avoid all other people's shows not because they don't have lessons to learn is limited time I have, but yours I always find time they keep me motived whenever I listen ❤
Lynn, once again you have done an amazing job! Kea, girl you are rockin' that outfit! I have literally been combining RU-vid channels looking for opportunities to live in Kenya and BAM! here you are. You know I have to pray on it, but I hope we can make some Black girl magic in Kenya!
I totally agree with the guest, when you own a piece of land in Kenya, you own it. In America we live on credit. The level of stress in America is crazy!!
Lynn, Wow!!! This is something else. Amazing soul by all means and purpose. I affirm your guest and thank you Lynn for fetching her out. The sky for you is getting closer as my prayers always come true. Our global icon without apology. Keep keeping it real Lynn. Wakesho welcome home, to the land of outfits that is outfitting😅 and opportunities. Kenya is the most beautiful country in Africa any political shenanigans aside. We are proud to be Africans and even more proud to be Kenyans the land of amazing flora and fauna. Feel at home madam for this is your roots territory.
Guys Kenya is a good place if it were not for wrong leadership we could have been so far Kenyans are learned because I am currently somewhere in this Arab countries and I am considered the smartest when in my country I was considered a failure just because I got a D people don't like school outside world here because they already have money yet in Kenya we are made to study so hard knowing that it is the only option we are having
Wakesho thanks for reminding us of who we are n the love you have for our country. More grace to what you n team waweru are doing. God took you through a season in your childhood as a lesson to your destiny, you are a voice, allow God to take the lead.❤❤🎉🎉. What a way to enter new month🥰🥰.Thank you Lynn🎉❤
Lynn - If you are coming to the USA next year, I want to meet with you. I have an amazing story about a Kenyan connection that is still in process, and may be of interest to you. I also believe I have a mission there related to my work. It is all in Gods hands but I am inspired by the vision. I loved this interview because I am an American who plans to come to Kenya in 2025 related to rhis connection I have, and Id love to connect with your guest to have her assistance in visiting your country.
@@catherineikovwa3401 unfortunately, there is so much propaganda.. in the media that a huge population can not see its becoming more and more dangerous with this repatriation process.
The question Lynn asked at 46:49 is a very critical question and seems like history is about to repeat itself in some form from the days of colonialism. Hospitality is great but Africa needs to practice wisdom and caution.
I like her and understand what she says...am in America and work with African Americans...as you say black Americans most of my colleagues say they would love to visit Kenya and appreciate Africa 🌍.
Lynn could you have a conversation on Rejection , it’s the root course of so many things . Welcome to Kenya beautiful . Whet you just said if you have resources, Kenya is the place to be.
What we the black people and especially the people back home don't realize is that together with the African Americans, we're all brothers and sisters! We are the real Israelites and Yahweh is preparing us for the regathering in the continent of Africa. Watu amkeni na mfungue macho! If you know, you know. Great interview.
OHHHHH! MY GOD!!! THE YEAR OF RETURN KENYAN CHAPTER!!! Kea, you are chosen for such a work as this! Thank you for obeying the call, Queen👑. I'm putting in my time request off for DEC 2023 now🎉🎈🎈🎈because i wanna be there to say "Karibu Nyumbani" to my African American Cousins. So much love, welcome home! Thanks for hosting Wakesho, Lynn!! Kenyans would never leave Kenya if they could afford a good life. We have an amazing country, but lack in employment opportunities and are offered poor wages/ salaries that aren't favorable, yet Kenyans are the most hardworking people (ask anyone who has worked with them abroad). Its good Lynn caught how easy it is for other nationalities to settle here is, yet the same isn't the case for Kenyans applying to leave and go work abroad etc. Bottom line, if Kenyans had money, they would never want to leave Kenya as they could afford good homes, good education, lives, leisure, retirement etc.
And she meant to say one payment! And one missed payment can destroy your credit, which affects you getting credit for anything else. US is the reai Shark Tank! If you make money there is always bills that you have to pay and taxes are taken from your paycheck before you get it. Many of us have to work 2 or 3 jobs just to survive, which leaves little time to care for the family.
Relocating to the motherland is entirely different from immigrating to the west. They come here settled and able to live a high quality life. We leave to go and hustle so we can afford a good life from Zero. In essence, they'll still get the advantages of coming to Africa and employ the Africans. When things go to crap, they have the choice to leave with the wealth . My 2 cents.
Africa is good, only when u have money, and money is not for everybody. I never live in Kenya, but have family members who are there and I am the one who support them. So I guess she is ok bcs she has $$$. And she is among few. Africa weather is the best, Africa leadership is the worst…
You are correct but most of us seek home in Africa and some of us have found a way to stay. We AA even have different upbringings and may not have the skills yet, to weather a storm, especially our younger gen Xers. You may think you have zero, but it seems that you and many other Kenyans have integrity and that my friend is extremely valuable! If you see us as family and embrace us, together we can accomplish that dream and you can go from zero to hero!!!
@@nmnteamdknn8405 Africa is the best of all. Social people, good food, and free joy. Only leadership needs to change. If you earn more than 150k in Kenya and you live moderately while you invest, you are ok. Our parents were never rich but more than 7 children were fed, went to school and lived happily
💯 this is why I said the government should not forget its own actual citizens while giving the so called “AA diasporas” special treat, yet your citizens have had to deal with bad governance all their life. Absolutely Not Fair! We must create a balance or it’ll become a mess.
Good to hear stories from both those leaving developing countries to go to the West and those coming from the West to developing countries, that is a balanced perspective.
Our sister waKesho (waLeo😂). Much, much ❤!! Please feel warmly welcomed back home! Success in ur generous ideas and plans. You have a golden (African😊) heart.
Been waiting for this one to drop, I have followed her since they brought a group of AAs to Kenya a couple of years back. East Africa has not been attractive to AAs until a few years ago! Mostly its been Ghana and Nigeria because of ancestry. Now they are discovering the Cradle of Mankind! 😅
I think Kenya was not promoted, we have recently learned that enslaved Africans were nomadic, and we had to visit and tell others the story along with the new presence of RU-vid.
@@truxiemkenya5477because that's where their DNA match.....most of our EastAficans were enslaved in Middle east and Asia....eg in Oman,Saudi Arabia,India,Iran etc.
@@leonalee392 South America, particularly Brazil, had many Kenyan slaves when the Portuguese were stationed in East Africa, with Mombasa serving as their headquarters for East Africa. Notably, the Portuguese recorded that a significant number of East African slaves, particularly from Kenya and Tanzania, were taken from the interior regions along the coast, including the Tana River and Lamu, and transported to Brazil. Additionally, some were sent to Goa in India.During the 1600s, Angola and East African slaves, especially from Kenya and Tanzania, constituted the majority. However, the Portuguese dominance in East African coastal areas, particularly in Kenya and Tanzania, came to an end when the Omanis defeated them in Mombasa. It's interesting to note that the King of Portugal aimed to reinforce soldiers to reclaim the East African coast, but faced opposition from Muslim supporters and Arabs from Oman. This led the Portuguese to shift their focus to Mozambique, contributing to Mozambique becoming a source of slaves sent to Brazil.
I like the fact that you say, Home is good when you have something, let me just say the money. In fact, the only reason we leave our countries is to look for better pay. Otherwise home is best.
