@HappyChimeNoises, please can you made a video about zed jg (bruiser). There’s a LPL jungler (SOFM) who came from Vietnam and he create zed jungler from Vietnamese sever while in world 2021. After that, he play zed bruiser so effectively in LPL that even in the match between v5 vs WBG, they ban zed. Oh, and OMG tried using zed lethality jg but it failed hard.

well at the very very beginning of league of legends people played a support in top and bot lanes so it actually make sense that if you play a support with smite top and a big carry in jungle you are more efficient but yeah honestly they should put 1 to 3 more minions in the top waves if they want to make it a separate part of the map ... or hell why not just remove the tier 1 top tower ? so it becomes a mess and top lane is actually a brawling area again where your aim is to smash your opponent and deny the jungler afterwards like the good old days :D
worst case scenario: riot will ban ability to take 2+ smites. (like it were in nexus war mode). also they're nerfing the 2+ support items in 1 team strategy in one of next patches...

(i even remember when they gave a warning on some tournament to a player for picking annie on adc role). ps:iirc graves were released as a jungler. wdym he has considered troll pick? on the other hand carthus was a troll pick before season 4 or 5 (when someone on pro scene took him and then suddenly it became normal)

@@dankmemer258 despite the fact that all of the happy chime noises videos on these strategies have been in depth on why they take skill and why these players are where they are? The role got fucked up by riot so don't blame the playerbase for coming up with this. At least people have map awareness now
the main problem for Riot about this strategy is that exposes some of their more questionable desing choices since it was made to fix them. Toplane has no agency in the game, and most times doesn't even feel like tops are playing league; Supports are way too much gold efficient because the game was designed for them to win no gold at all; Inversly to Top, Jungle has way too much agency and it's the role that calls for the most ammount of plays in a game (specially in pro play); And finally Objective Bounties and Unleashed Teleport were stupid ass deicisions made to try and slow down thee game they've been pushing to be faster for the last 5~6 years. So of course that a strategy that uses all of the above broke the game, it was designed like so.
Obviously objective bounties are in a bad place rn, but the teleport change was a necessary and healthy change imo. It simply is the most powerful spell in the game and giving access to unleashed tp in the early game made any kind of early playmaking a total guessing game since one random ward nearby can ruin any plan. The lack of counterplay made tp change long overdue.
That's the third year Riot's been slowing the game down though. The difference in season 9 to season 12 is like day and light. 4 of the last 5 jungle releases (including reworks) are powerfarming scaling junglers, enchanters have never been that dominant since Ardent Censer meta and Riot's been doing everything in their reach to make the game more forgiving and disencourage playmaking. Mobi Boots was murdered cold blooded years ago and was left to rot. From great for supports, good for junglers and viable for mid laners, its now trolling outside hook champs. Riot made changes to how mid lane minion waves work to make roaming weaker. Riot has reduced the experience from kills and given free homeguard for players who died, so plays are less rewarding for players doing it and less punishing for the players caught out. Objective Bounties and Unleashed Teleport were stupid ass decisions and support itens are way too gold efficient. Just want to reiterate that.
The issue with the strategy is that it shows how useless toplane is following the tp nerf. It is more effective to nearly ignore top and give free farm than it is to lane on an island

This strat won't dissapear anytime soon, knowing riot's balance team they will fuk up like usually. It will be either azir/aureriol nerf out of nowhere or they somehow buff 4 waifus of top lane while nerfing bruiser items yet again, so yea don't stop learning this strat because it is more common than you can imagine.
people saying [role] diff / gap was the worst thing to happen to league not sure what popularized it, but I came back from a long break and its just normalized toxicity we used to say gg, ggwp, etc.

@Wasabi Gaming rito is nerfing support item again. Less minions with it earlier on for the first 5 minutes, objective bounties will be halved if there’s 2 or more support items on the team, objective bounties linger around for less time, and cs bounties adjust based on number of support items so top lane will get no bounty or less bounty on their heads when their opposing top laning support roams
one way of "nerfing" the roaming top strategies would be to actually make standard top lane impactful. nerfed teleport does not really help this case either...

I think one of the coolest thing about these strats it shows how many people just auto pilot and dont think. They just play the same shit for 8 years and don't wanna deal with some new weird strat but it makes sense, its fun to play and team fights happen waaaay earlier which is also much more fun.
Sad that this is getting nerfed patch, was a lot of fun to try all of these out. Its funny how you litterly made this so popular that its just one of the best picks (any smite support top)

I am a Bard Support Main and i started playing him top after I saw your Janna Top Video because i thought his kit would have great synergy with that playstyle. I actually had great success with that strategy and i am happy that there is an actual guide for runes etc. now.
This "thing" existing and some people still have the nerve to say bruisers are op, and the worse is riot keeps nerfing the living shit of their items. Like why the fuck are bruiser items losing hp to give more damage? They are supposed to take sustained fights not 1 shot burst or be bursted.
Playing a lot vs roaming tops is just disheartening, when you play a normal top laner, you get a "free" lane but still struggle to crush the tower and without atleast one item you suck at teamfighting due to their roamer getting their "support" item rank ups for free and usualy having better cc options, which makes the whole situation even less fun, But I see the value they put in the game, just adapting to play against them or to learn it myself takes more time than I can put in at the moment.

I like how Riot encourages us to try and find our style of playing the game, with different runes, items, strategies, but then once one finds something they nerf it. Cool company.
Riot Nerfs TP Smite top players: Fine i'll walk myself. Support items broke the game, AGAIN. Remember the midlane Runic echo + Frostqueen? Damn That powerspike was unbeatable.
Roaming support toplaners may be more than just an annoying playstyle, it might be an entirely new metagame developing thanks to an alternative strategy. I'm not sure if Rito will be able to effectively root it out without having to make massive changes to toplane as a role (So that it isn't an island anymore), but I kind of want to see what will be built to counter those strategies, too.
I don't agree that this playstyle should be removed. LoL should not have fewer strategy options, especially since PvP games like this get "solved" over time and there needs to be strategies that teams can pull out of their pocket to shake things up, otherwise you never get those champ select moments where the casters say "OMG They are trying THAT strategy?! This is going to be a spicy game!" Yes, it's likely a bit overpowered right now, but that can be resolved with pinpoint nerfs and ACTUAL SUPPORT for the strategy. There should be more items that encourage roaming, which will force BOTH teams to think about how they play instead of falling into the standard 1/1/2/Jungle setup. Set up counter-strategies, like having the bottom lane play REALLY safely while the top and jungle take a free early tower -- perhaps even both towers, completely taking over the top side of the map and making life difficult for the roaming top's jungler (I don't know if it would work, I'm just highlighting a potential counter-strategy). I remember when League was played in a 2/1/2 setup because jungling was basically impossible. In the very early days, jungle camps were LETHAL to most Level 1 champions. But when people started to figure out how to jungle, there was a huge backlash against it -- many players didn't like the idea of a member of the opposing team constantly being out of vision and a top laner getting solo gold and experience. Riot didn't just encourage this style of play, they provided support for it, and it completely changed the game. The concept of lanes that perma-roam may seem strange and even toxic right now, but we could be looking at another shift in how the game is played.
I'll be sad when they kill this next week, but I am hopeful we adapt. Even with the nerfs, you're losing out on a lot of passive gold but still gain a roaming Bard for play making. At least Twitch Top will still be valuable. Spell thief is nice on him, but he can definitely function without it.
Twitch top will still work because most of the time you are so ahea din kills that the top laner never gets a bounty anyways, and you just win purley off you and your bot snowballing too fast
I think a change needs to be made to the defense towers get in the first 5 minutes (or whatever it is) This roaming top bs needs to be punishable. Taking the first tower in 6 minutes or so would be nice. The game shouldn’t be in a state where someone can just ignore their lane for the entire game

The support item gives the top laner the gold he needs and with such a cheap support build you have more impact in the game than your enemy top-laner cause 1. You help the other lanes 2.you get bounties and there is a chance HE will get a shutdown bounty The more gold advantage you have the more you provide to your enemies. And champ are effected different with the items they get and gold they get, so by nerfing the tower, you basicly give extra gold to the enemy team when you destroy it, its stupid but that's the way riot trash balance team work

Imagine, being level 3 or 4 and u can break 1st tier tower, buy ur items THEN roam
@@fujisyusuuke1709 High risk, low reward situation, either the top laner is a tank, so this much gold pretty much is useless cause no-one will focus him, or its a browler and even if hes fed, the enemy jungler will probably fed too, and with rest of the team can either avoid him or gank up on him when hes splitting. I think its a lose-lose scenario, the smite top 's team has more vision, the carries getting most of the gold and probably they know how to use it in their advantage. Yeah the top laner gets 2-3K more gold, but the enemy team uses their gold more efficiently. I think the way to nerf it is to either rework the support item, or force the supports to buy vision again
Hi ! Have you ever tryed a Vi lethality mid ? I find it oustandingly powerful as an assassin and ganks are easy to set up. Does it have potential at high elo ? I play in low plat
I'm honestly conflicted about this strategy. On the one hand it's a really cool and innovative way to play the game that leaves your opponent completly lost on what they should do. But on the other, it's really unhealthy and pretty similar to things like tank Ekko and tank Fizz. Not to forget that it really sucks for all top lanes mains who suddenly have to basically ignore everything they ever knew about their role and play like a purely roaming support if they wanna win.
The stategy to win against this thing it simple, do not take the top tower and just focus on last hitting. Pick nasus, Kayle, shen, gp, trynda, trundle, illaoi, Jax, and you're ready to go. What you don't want it's to open the top lane, and if you do it you are screwed since you can't farm anymore. So the stategy is based on power farming the lane and base often. Rotate or help botlane and you are going to be ok.
Toplaners can do so little without teleport now. I like the idea of making the game less reliant on botlane, but riot probably has to revert the teleport change.
The counterplay is small but important: If you are top take demolish to push fast, also pick a hard scaling champion. If you are jungle, also start topside so you can countergank the botside plays
Before watching the video guess: This is just another version of Janna smite top post watching the video: yep just more of the same (Seriously, 5 out of the 9 videos THIS YEAR have been support top laners)

he made my team can't farm in the fcking lane phase because we gonna get 1v2 or even 1v3 if we step a little bit too high but the bard in mid game goes on does like nothing so we won it's a gud offmeta if you want to snow balling but make sure enemy's toplane is not turret wrecker
This smite roaming top meta that is currently going on just proves that top as a lane needs change. It's such a useless lane that barely impacts the game. There are many times where we've won or been defeated without me ever seeing our top laner in a single fight.
is this strat fun? yes is this healthy for the game? no nobody wants to play against a roaming top just to lose because they are out-roamed. it is such a devastating experience. if riot let this fly,, i dont know what will happen to top lane. plus, this strat literally break the game. this abuse objective bounty, champ bounty, and support item. how is this fair for the enemy team?

@@zardon_zane1630 1, you cannot counter pick all the time (sometimes u have to first pick) 2, if 2 players both using this strat, then the strat becomes less good: it dont abuse the objective bounties, champion bounties. 3, still the same point: top lane is empty, does Riot want a game that top lane role is just a copy of the jungle/sup role? Bonus: if both are playing this roaming style, then both know how this strat works. Therefore, they know how to counter it (put it ward, playing safe...) and tell their team how to counter it. This render this strat useless?
The issue is within the bounty system. When the top takes so many tower plates and CS , they get a kill bounty for having more gold than the opposing top laner. However, that gold disparity is caught up in jungle and bot and mid where you roam around getting all those ahead. And furthermore now you can collapse and kill the 0/0/0 top laner with a 300gold bounty for even more gold for your other lanes. Ths strat literally just shows 2 things. 1) the bounty system is flawed 2) top lane is flawed
The thing that needs to be fixed is Toplane. There is simply no objective. The teleport changes limited the impact even more, so it became more efficient to just gank and group.
It's such a tricky problem, having 2 players bot and ofc dragon makes it a priority since you can cash in on doubles/triples with jungler. Even if you decide to put the stronger objective top you'd just have the duo lane go there instead.
@@manflutewarrior it'd just be the same thing really, the duo lane will always have priority close to the strongest objective. Meaning bot would just turn into the low prio solo lane. I'd say roaming top is more interesting, you can see how the devs have been pushing it to this point with tankier early towers and ofc the tp change. I wonder how they'll combat it, it's funny how they whip top laners into such low early macro potential they end up leaving it.
the sad thing about constantly updated games with strong producer opinions on how it should be played is that the meta never has the time to truly mature. Like it does in fighting games that remain relatively unpatched for a long time. If riot left this strategy alone, the counter would appear. That's more interesting to me. I personally don't like when they try to enforce metas
Isn't it crazy? Top lane was always heavily criticized for being afk and having no effect on the game. And the solution the whole time was just leave top lane.
Going to say something, and some of you might not like this. This smite top support thing is actually really similar to dota 2. In the way you approach and the way it's played. Now that's not to say it has to same depth/decision making, but it's heading more towards dota 2's gameplay.
I'm glad I'm not the only one who noticed. Played 2.5k+ hours of dota, and it kind of reminds me of that one meta where there was one self-sufficient hero (usually someone between positions 3-5 e.g. supports and tanks) who would be sent to offlane (blueside top, redside bot) They were good at surviving the lane, scaled off of exp, and could even go toe to toe vs two and even three heroes on offlane when the meta was weird. Now idk about the roaming capabilities, but they usually had game changing kits (similar to, if not stronger than, bard's kit). Sry for the rant
I don't understand why you say this tactic is "boring to fight against." When I'm playing any lane, and the enemy leaves lane to affect the other lanes: I just leave lane, too, and then I also affect the other lanes. Thinking, "where on the map can I have the best impact," is more fun than expecting to go to the same part of the map for 25 minutes.
Can't satisfy people. I remember toplane being a "static stat-check" that boiled down to whoever had more items. Not like anything can be fixed as long as bot-side objectives are so crucial.
Should this strategy exist? No. Is it just an easty enchanter champ playing in useless lane? Yes. But easy enchanter isn't a problem. Useless lane is, for like few seasons now :v
As a Dota fan, I have to say that the presence of a committed roaming support is something that the game is very much designed around. There are certainly ways to balance this play style in mobas although adapting the role as the top lane, which should ideally have the second largest exp and presence next to mid is an awkward spot
I feel like the support changes will not really affect Bard because of the chimes. More everyone else. The bounties being weaker will affect everyone though, so you actually have to play near to perfect otherwise you remain even for too long. And the enemy will just split push. Too many people are not realising that riot has not balanced Hull breaker for ranged champions. If you give that item to a Vayne, who can really stop her? She won't get bursted by assassins, (especially if she builds a randuins for ad or wits end for AP) tanks will get kited and not deal enough damage to bypass her healing from immortal shield bow, and fighters like Yone have to play perfect or she can turn it around. I built it 4th item on xayah once, due to all the splitpushing I was 2 levels up on the enemy mid talon, and survived Talon's R, Caitlyn's R and Vel'koz's full combo all with just hullbreaker and guardian angel. And I didn't save my R for Caitlyn's either, I tanked all physical damage and only used my own ultimate to dodge a bit of Vel'koz's R damage as he hit his knock back ability on me.
