As a young Hungarian I can say that more groups (especially younger generations) would like to flee if Orbán stays, probably including me aswell. There's no future that we can imagine here. Our currency is weak, education, healthcare weak, propaganda everywhere, they are building stadiums from our tax instead of doing something really useful. Russian friendly Fidesz, doing politics like grandpa's, it's just all wrong. I don’t get why it’s so hard for people to just let other people be them selves. Why do people feel the need to harass other people, human beings, for how they live there life. Ignorance and arrogance are the worst traits of a human being, traits that sadly we all are susceptible to. People just need to stop arguing and wake up, do your research, talk to the other side like adults and stop acting like you’re children who got told no. Communication is key and understanding is the door to a better world where everyone gets what they want.

The context of all this is, that HU citizens basically gave up on civic society and politics in general tens of years ago already. And a lot of people simply left the country, contributing to brain drain and overall IQ lowering. Those who stayed just mind their own business mostly not wanting to get shamed on basis of their beliefs. HU has had a problem with birth rate for years now, so LGBTQ+ came as a handy scapegoat fo Orban after years of nationalistic tendencies and conflicts (e.g. Romania/Slovakia) people grew bored of and him not being able to improve a lot of growth/wealth/satisfaction indicators. Also, the mean age groups are pretty clear, thus Orban knows what they (=older age groups) want to hear and what they can be easily be made scared of (resulting in e.g. fences on EU borders) All in all, we call him 'little Putin' over here and given the last month few days, it was a really fitting nickname. Really sad to see HU deteriorating like this

I'm from Hungary. I have a little sister of ten years old; She has been raised by a traditionalist mother. She is learning in a Catholic school. She lives in a smaller community, where most people are old. She will likely Never see a transgender person on the streets. And even I can't remember Ever seeing a gay couple, yet I live in the capital. Despite this she already understands most talking points, by word of mouth, access to internet and cultural ozmosis. She knows what a gay or a lesbian is, and brought up some tennants of the english gender-definition already. Something that is vertually untranslatable to hungarian, so substance is lost on the way. With all that said, please for fuck's sake, stop acting as "Children have sexuality". She doesn't and won't for many more years. Anyone who have children, or even remembers to be a kid can tell you how little sense that sentence makes. As an adult I constantly find movies I have seen as a child, and discovering that it had nudity or sexual elements, that my mind just blocked and deleted, for it was supreamly uninteresting for the time. Only real reason I think I can remotely think of the sway because A) Hungarian population is in decline been that way since 80's they don't have 10million people any around 9.5million want to have reproductive population B) don't want it population tainted with foreigners keep it "Hungarian" as possible having highest homogeneous nation in the EU at 94% Hungarian 6% other/ predominantly roma. C) Dislike towards immigration so much so it's very difficult to get citizenship in Hungary ( required to speak the language, take a test, self-sufficient, live there 10 years+ before applying).
