I watch several video’s made up of young people in farming operations ,metal fabricating, dairy, beef, and I’ve noticed 2 things everyone has in common. The weather and operating cost. I’m convinced all of you people are the backbone of the USA. I for one will thank you for all your doing.
All I can say is "Amen, and may God bless you, too!!" Thanks for the personal andmoving testimony of God working in your life. Ken, it's because of parents like you that there are sensible hard working young people like your children. I wish there were more parents like you around this country.
I found out years ago that the Lord hears all, but it's up to us to use what he gave us to survive and prosper. I've seen the horrors of war and even questioned my own faith at times. But when I think of my family, friends, and my faith in God, it all comes into perspective. Your family is awesome, and telling us your stories and expressing your faith gives us all hope. God bless you.
Thank you Ken for that amazing message from your heart. In my almost 72 times around the Sun, The last couple of years have been hard on me for numerous reasons. I'm a retired general contractor with my specialty being finished carpentry and furniture making. The first love of my life was taken from me far too soon. 18 years ago the Lord took her home. But I never quit believing, and recently he has brought another amazing woman into my life. She starts every morning with a positive message for me, I pray daily to be able to live the rest of my life with her. You have a wonderful family. God bless all of you.
Great Show! Speaks right to the heart of America. I've been building homes for 40 years. You got to have faith. There's alot more to this show than the work that's why I'm a member. Thank you all!
Great video. I'm part of a small family business, and that was uplifting to hear about another battle, and the conscious decision to not dwell on the downside. There will always be problems, it's the attitude you take when you tackle them that is the most important, and this reminded me of that.
I am glad to hear you reference the Bible, , reading scriptures, and praying and soul searching. Keep the faith! Keep the family in church! God Bless you all on your end, too.
Beautiful perspective Ken, you are blessed to have a loving and hard working family, much to be thankful for. As the summer has progressed, I feel that we all have hope for a positive future, so it's great to share that hope with you and your family. peace
I'm in my 52nd year of being a small business owner and I can relate to this on so many levels. Finding the gratitude and staying connected to what is clearly the good all around us allows us (me) to live in a loving peaceful manner.
I enjoy your videos and the content. I was born in altoona, PA and I love seeing the mountains in your videos. I will say this was one of your best videos yet. God bless you and your family.
Ya know, I feel blessed to be able to log on to this channel and actually see someone who is not afraid to acknowledge God in their life, and share a part of themselves to help us all become better. ❤❤
Thank you for sharing a genuine, real, truthful assessment of how a faith in the Creator does not necessarily "fix" our problems, but how it gives us real hope IN SPITE of the things going on. Blessings.
Bossman, God doesn't always give you what you ask for, but he will always give you what you need. It frustrates me at times until I see the why in his wisdom. ❤❤❤
Your soul is powerful beyond comprehension. And your entire family including your wife, grandpa, and all your kids Emerald, Jade, and Judah are so obviously a functional and healthy family. Love and blessings to you all!
Thank you for making this video and sharing your recent journey with us all; it was so inspiring to hear you talk about the situation with your John Deere machine, what you experienced and how you turned it right around into something really positive and powerful! Good for you Sir !!
Nearly at 200,000 subscribers! This family venture creating a channel has been very successful. Seeing young women working hard for the family is pleasing. Seeing the family expanding product offerings. Three generations working together keeps us in touch with our rural past. May the Lord Bless You and Keep You.
Thank you, Ken. I live in the rust belt, and I learned many years ago. When life gets tough, keep moving forward. Thank God for everything. Praise God for everything and take time to notice the glory of all his creation. We live in a cursed world, and there will always be troubles. But the hard times will make the good times even better.
This message spoke to me this morning. I’m in the same hole you were. I solely own/operate my own small business as well. Thoughts of shutting down, fears of what’s ahead, and financial burdens plague me daily. I wholeheartedly agree that at some point, we NEED to see the good. I bring that frustration home almost daily, to my family and I know it’s not good. We can just get sucked into uncertainty, and that is just a downward spiral. I’m blessed more than I have ever been and sometimes we just need to look harder. God bless you and your entire family my friend. 🙏
I'm kind of new to your channel and I have to say what I just listened to was one of the most pure heartfelt informational and personally uplifting videos I have ever watched on youtube. What a wonderful family you have, Wonderful father, wonderful and beautiful girls and even a cool dog, all working a family business is what I think America is all about and what is great about our country. We are all struggling in one way or another and I wish we had more families and people like you.. Thank you for sharing this wonderful story and I wish you all the best and most profitable future that goes beyond your wildest dreams... God bless you
You and your family are truly inspiring and are one of my favorite channels. The most telling is the job you and your wife have done raising your wonderful daughters. May God bless you and watch over you.
Just want to take a second and say Thank You! I personally needed to hear that message! It's been a rough few months here , things are looking up and plans are falling into place now but the uncertainty can definitely change a person. Again thank you. God always has a plan.
In a world of chaos, violence and crime, you and your family have become a place we can go to find peace and a sense of purpose. As a retired UPS drive I have always been put a little more effort into the small family businesses for two reasons. To do my best to get them what the need because I know the what the stress of the bigger businesses can be and two, small businesses are not only the backbone of America but the most friendly and down to earth of them all. We’d like to thank your daughters for bringing you into the twenty first century of the internet, and we as followers consider you all part of our family as well.
The way we are, is the way it is. But we can change into being good, seeing good in others, and giving support whenever needed, which then will be the way it is. A good place.
We saw the extent you went to to save it... thats perserverance...and strength ....it sometimes seems that things are all lined up against you....stress is brutal....you folks are awesome!!!!
Wow, your message really warmed my heart. I want you to know that my wife and I have been where you have been, but God has always brought us through the darkest of times. You are not alone. God's love is unmistakable, and I know HE does not always answer our prayers in the way we want, but better than I could ever have expected. Know this: If God lives in us, and for me, HE does, we are never truly alone. I am 82 and have seen such evil things, and only by the Grace of God am I here today to speak to you of HIS perfect plan for each and every one of us. So know this, I will always be there watching this channel and praying for you and your family. Faithfully, Phil from Charlotte, NC
Watching from Australia.. Great show.. learned a lot from this episode and your commentary your family have made a difference thanks for sharing… God bless…
Thanks Ken for opening your heart to us. As a guy that can be one of the hardest to do, I know. But your faith and determination has been a blessing to me as well, thanks for the kick in the butt. God bless you and your family.
Thank you for sharing your incredible story. That was very touching, very emotional and inspiring. I'm wondering did you start a gofundme page to help with expenses?
They had a spot fund that was originally for fixing the hotel. Some people gave them money there. It is still up but I had to go back about three months to find it listed under a video. I suggest that if you want to give them money that you mail it to their address along with a short letter!
One of the first videos that I watched of LCLY was Emerald in the morning walking through your home introducing some of the family. She came to Jade reading her bible. That to me was a sign, I not only like lumber but this family as well, especially the girls humor and Kens from the heart wisdom.
Negative energy is contagious and will drag everything in life down, but positive energy and a smile is much more contagious and uplifting. Thank you for the video and keep up the good work!!
I was doing a BMP inspection on a small operation logger and the conversation turned to his new JD skidder and said he wished he had his old 648's back
To thank God for troubling times is hard to make sense but when you do and stay in the word you will come to see the blessings as y ou conveyed . Thank you for reminding me . GOD Bless you and your beautiful family
Your not alone. Many have fought the battle and lost. Just remember you can lose all your stuff, your money, your loved ones but not yourself. Stay strong.
Very well said , positive attitude , love , and family can be very strong. In a song my dad would play as a kid said when everything is down and out the only way is up. You stayed strong and over came.God bless you and your family.
The best blessing you have is having your entire family taking a part in your business. It amazes me how many business owners have kids that want no part of the business. Very sad. You are blessed.
Great message. Everything happens for a reason. Asking what did I learn from this situation? Brings us to a place of gratitude. Change the way you look at things ad the things you look at change. Give it up to God is the best solution when you find your self perplexed. I appreciate your open heart sharing. 🙏
I've felt the family love you'all have for each other as I've watched your posts. God is amazing! We are heading into marvelous times. Keep your faith in God, He never forsakes His kids.
Thank you for that, without going into details I've been going through the hardest 3 years of my life and it's refreshing to hear a biblical Christian prospective
You get to know a lot of good people when you do a complete overhaul of large machines like this. You usually have good and bad experiences. You got this monster back in working order and you know how to operate it like the back of your hand. As a family you make a really cool RU-vid channel, which takes up a lot of time. It's great that there were people who supported you - you really deserve it. Keep it up Bossman, it's fun to watch! 👍
I’d much rather watch your family & business in day to day life than what Hollywood wants people to. This video/channel is reality. Appreciate your willingness to share. God bless 🙏
Thank You. Your story comes from the heart. Life can throw some curve balls at you. A positive attitude always prevails. I spent most of my working life in the lumber industry, so I understand some of the struggles. God Bless.
Thank you, Ken, for your beautiful story and the Testimony of Faith. The Father always puts hard things in our path but from that we learn and will be stronger after those trials, God Bless you and your Family.
A few years ago when I was going through cancer treatments, I was having hard go with life. I kind of did like you and sat a while and gave things a lot of thought. My thoughts? It seems that now, I have this verse always playing in the back of my mind, it's Proverbs 3:5. Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your on understanding. I tried as best as I could to remain positive(and I did most of the time. I did have a pity party a time or two but only invited myself) and steer clear of a lot of other people's negativity. I tried finding the silver lining of every cloud a lot of the time. People would ask me" what do you do if you don't find it?" Well, I have found there are many clouds out there for sure.......Move on to another cloud until you find the right one. Anyway, as always, I always enjoy your talks. You always seem so down to earth. Hang in the bro!!
Thanks for sharing the spiritual side of your life, and how you found and recognize the blessings through the challenges. many times we hear people ask why does God let bad things happen to us, but in reality he gives us challenges to make us strong and find solutions as we go through the Refiner's Fire in this life of mortality. I'm grateful for the positive things you found through this Challenge and being able to recognize the Lord's hand in all that you do and for your family. Love you abunch, Larry
Great message... I'm in a lot of risk...having the right attitude is sooo important. I refuse to fear. There is direction for those who ask and listen.
Heartfelt testimony ! I will tell you that before this time next year, you will have wealth that will give you and your family the dreams you seek ! Promise !...... Mark.......
One of the greatest lessons in life is that when you’re given lemons, make lemonade. It takes strength, effort and most of all character. Thank you for the message and testimony.
