Fourth Generation Farmer Loving His Red Combine
The team from the Polo, Illinois Birkey's Farm Store recently had a chance to meet with the Kruse family to check out their impressive Case IH collection on their family farm. Located just east of German Valley, Illinois, Bradley Kruse shares his family's legacy in the world of farming. He also discusses his family's history with Case IH equipment and Birkey's Farm store.

Farming is in his blood, he's always loved it, even when I had to take other jobs to make ends meet. The best to part to him? Every year is a new beginning. You plant a seed, hope for rain, and pray for a good harvest. It's a rollercoaster, but so rewarding.
Berky's in Polo, Illinois is his go-to dealer. The salesman he purchased his combine from actually used to haul milk for his family when he was young! Small world, right?
Farming isn't always easy. He's had some tough times, but never gave up. His advice for those looking to be successful farmers? Don't give up either. Find a mentor, learn all you can, and don't be afraid to work off the farm to gain new skills.
The 8250 combine is just part of the family's farm equipment legacy. They've been farming using red Case IH tractors for four generations, all the way back to a 1939 H! They also raise cattle and grow crops like corn, soybeans, wheat, and alfalfa.
