Great to see you uploading again.. It’s always a pleasure to watch you shred. I try and skate at least once a week, which can be a 3 to 6 hour session (just skating chill stuff). Wish I could get out more regularly though.
Do appreciate that you have shown the realities of learning new tricks - failing and falling. As someone who just got into aggressive skating, it is always nice to have an insight of how someone goes about learning a trick. Unfortunately these days, social media has skewed our perception by only showing the highlights and successful attempts - setting unrealistic personal goals.
Once or twice a week juggling work and family is what I’m able to and I feel almost exactly the same way with maintaining, progression and consistency.
So good to see a new video from you! No pressure though, we'll take 'em when you drop 'em. I want the exact same thing from a local park - a place to build skills and confidence, where I don't need to mentally track and predict the movements 20 kids demonstrating chaos theory in order to hit an obstacle without an accident! I wish I had your park.
When you grind. Do you look where your feet are going/landing at first then focus on where you want to go down the rail? Or do you just focus on down the rail and trust your feet too land right with muscle memory ?
On shorter grinds (under 10ft) or difficult tricks I can get away with looking at my feet to lock and then moving my focus to the end. Longer things require focusing on where i want to go and trusting my feet to lock properly.
