As far as surprises, Matt Murdock showing up bc I wasn't expecting that even a little bit. I expected all the other people showing up, so that cameo was really great. i really think Marissa Tomei's acting in that scene is underrated, she's acting on two levels, she an actress portraying a mother trying to act like she's ok in front of her son (yes i know she's not his actual mother), and as much as I saw the goblin glider hit her she actually almost convinced me she was ok.

I felt that too, where she was in a position where she was in tremendous danger and completely outmatched, but Goblin was killing Peter and you could see in her eyes, there was zero chance she was leaving her "son" behind. She was a mother in that scene. Techically his aunt, but she is the one who raised him and took care of him. I was in that moment with her, she sold that scene as actress to me.

Oh course! Aunt May is Peter’s mother. Period. Its why i think Tom’s Peter didnt ever really call her “aunt may” but always just called her “May.” Cuz the aspect of aunt wasn’t necessarily there. Thats his mom.
@Jon-eg7xj
@Jon-eg7xj 2 года назад
I totally agree with the whole sequence with aunt May and how effective that was with the way they set the tone in environment, sound and acting. When Tobey stops Tom from killing Goblin. The look on both their faces and the weight behind it was huge for me. Finally, Andrew catching MJ and how redeeming that felt after what happened to Gwen. I loved that each Spider-Man had a moment that was so impactful to the story as a whole.

Noticed how Andrew’s Spidey saved MJ differently than how he saved Gwen. Before this, he only depended on the web to capture Gwen and not dive all the way to her, even if he tried to do that, he wouldn’t be able to get to her anyway. The way he saved MJ is that he went straight to her and grab her and makes sure she doesn’t whiplash on the ground. It was just so good that the writers was just ON POINT to write it into the story.

Peter saying his last goodbye to MJ at the end broke me. The movie broke me at several moments but in this moment, it's not a huge played up super hero kiss, where the superhero just gets the girl at the end. This is goodbye to both of them and when MJ hits denial about her memory about to be washed, it just hurts. Really credit to both Tom and Zandaya for amazing chemistry

The best thing about this movie is that it gave all three Spideys moments to shine and paid tribute to the previous webheads but keeping the spotlight on Tom Holland because he has now earned the title of Spider-Man. It’s a Peter Parker movie through and through. We got natural character progressions for both Andrew and Tobey, and a full character arc for Tom. I truly hope this gives Raimi’s Spider-Man 4 a chance to still be a thing as well as TASM3. Both Tobey and Andrew deserve a proper sendoff in their respective franchises.

Three things: - I LOVE that analysis of andrews motivation and how it works with him being the first introduced. - I feel like a lot of people complained or at least talked about the idea of Tom hollands Spider-Man being mentored by other characters in the other movies, and I like the idea that it’s only with the guidance of tobey and Andrew that he really matures into Spider-Man and learns those lessons he needs to, attached to real stakes and consequences - I don’t know if you saw, but when Tom holland gets pushed into the astral plane earlier in the film you can TOTALLY see a metaphysical representation of his spider sense-there are like waves radiating out of his head you can see

No one actually picks this up but when Peter tells strange to do the spell so that everyone forgets who Peter Parker is, strange starts to stutter and then says “if I do the spell then everyone who cares about you……WE will forget about you” His use of the wording “We” instead of “they”, shows that despite their differences they had during the film he genuinely has a soft spot for him and doesn’t want to lose him. What made Aunt May's version of the responsibility line so special was because she told it to him as a plea to not give up when Peter was truly down and out. For the Uncle Ben's, it's said before they are in any danger, and before Peter even becomes Spiderman. For Aunt May it's all after, and somehow that makes it more affective to me.

This film had some of the best way of making you say as your watching “Oh, now I see why they made that choice, I understand and believe in that choice” Especially in the MJ and Peter romance where as in the 2nd movie it was cute but seemed out of no where since he liked another girl in the first movie. But in this film their connection and her presence for him in this movie speaks volumes. She was the support he needed in so many moments, so when it comes to the point that he now has to reconnect with her bc she now doesn’t know him, it’s heartbreaking. Also, the death of Aunt May does make sense bc we never saw the death of Holland’s version of Uncle Ben so his connection with Aunt May was this films version of the others. Also, the fact that her death and her words helped connect to the other two Peter/Spider-Man the writers nailed that scene. All the loss whether in death or in the spell feels like added hurt to the already open wound. Ugh, such emotion from everyone in the film.

I really love that in the Spider-mans first time meeting there is kind of a call back to the "not my policy/missed the part where thats my problem" when toms Spider-man says "it's not my problem, I don't care anymore, I'm done"

I loved the introduction of Andrew's Spidey with MJ and Ned, but my favorite scene is actually the first time we see Norman Osborn without the mask on. The inner voice is taunting him at this moment, and the mask itself comes off as a symbol of pain and evil (as intended), and Willem Dafoe's expression in this moment and reaction is so intense, that I felt immediately drawn into the short moment. I think it allows the audience to develop a deeper understanding of the mental state that Norman Osborn is in, and to feel waves of sympathy for him. During the rewatch I again confirmed for myself that the Green Goblin is the greatest cinematic spider-man villain of all time, and in NWH I adored how Willem Dafoe reintroduced the character to all us die-hard fans. I know it's a very short sequence, but for me, it was the most powerful scene in the entire film.

I went to see it a few days ago and even though i knew of a few parts, i still got caught up in the moment. Them saying how these movies were supposed to be him going feom being a boy to a man was definitely referenced by Strange when he mentioned how at times he still forgets that Peter is still just a kid. However the scenes that definitely brought out the feels were: - Aunt May's death - Andrew saving MJ - Tobey & Andrew telling Tom about how their losses affected them - Strange telling Peter to call him Stephen as he was casting the spell at the end However 1 scene that was perfect was the meme of all 3 of them pointing

My favorite moment is any moment Garfield is on screen. It killed me when he divulges how broken and rageful he became after Gwen died. You can absolutely feel that emotion popping off the screen. Also, i had no idea Garfield was going to save MJ but even if i had, his and Zendaya's performances in the moment is true emotional punch.

My favorite scenes (a lot): *All villains in their cages talking to each other. Max & Curt talking, Otto & Norman reunite, and Flint just want to see his daughter. *Ned opening the portals for Andrew & Tobey *Tobey, Andrew, & Tom talking about their losses (reminds me of Spider Verse) *Everyone being shocked by Tobey's organic webs (Bully Maguire meme for sure) *All 3 Spideys just chilling & talking the villains they've faced and Tobey calling Andrew "amazing" *All the villains getting cured (though Sandman & Lizard got edited recycled scenes from their movies) *Tom vs Green Goblin

I definitely felt Osborn-Holland's Parker dynamic paralleled to Neil Ross' Osborn-Christopher Daniel Barnes from the 90's animated show. The devilish laughter with Dafoe's Osborn matched to Neil Ross' Osborn.

I saw it tonight and there was just SO much in the movie. I can't wait to go back and see it again. I loved all the little nods to people who loved the characters like Tobey not just coming out and saying he's Spiderman when Tom and Andrew do that too much 😂. Or when Tobey calls Andrew amazing. And Tom Holland's acting is AMAZING. I can't wait for the next months of analyzing and speculating for everything that is to come!

Just returned from seeing it today. Was originally going to see it tomorrow, but it was announced yesterday that all movie theaters would be closing down due to Covid, so I hurried and got one of the final tickets today. Also, I don’t know if it’s just because I haven’t been to the movies much these last few years, or if it’s just an MCU thing (this is only the second MCU movie I’m watching in the movie theater, after Eternals, I only started following this universe last year), but I have never experienced a theater collectively and loudly celebrating the way they did when Tobey and Andrew showed up. Like, the entire crowd went wild.

When MJ en Ned find Peter on the roof after he has lost May. How Ned and MJ hold on to him. I broke. It was so beautiful. And then you realise that they will forget about him a few moments later... and my heart breaks for Peter. He will have no one to help him through grieving May, let alone grieving the loss of everybody who knew him. This movie gave me all the feels.

But I have to watch it one more time to completely accept the movie. I still cannot believe No way home is real. Thanku MCU and Sony for doing this 🙏 We will never forget this experience ❤️My favourite sequences in the movie are countless. Seeing all the villains together made me happy. Also seeing Daredevil made me tear up because it was the first show I watched on netflix. But my most favourite moment in the movie was their hug ❤️ I enjoyed all of their scenes together like all fans but that moment really hit me hard ❤️ I also enjoyed Doctor strange and peter's fight scene, that was breathtaking. That as well as the trailer for Doctor Strange 2 got me really excited to watch it 🔥🔥🔥

As much as you can appreciate the amazing acting from every single f%$ing actor in this movie, especially since most of them are award-winning actors and the fact they were able to get back into these roles with the right chemistry and all that, we have to give major props to the writers of this film. Chris Mckenna and Erik Sommars just absolutely nailed everything almost perfect with this story and I couldn't be more appreciative of their work.

In the scene where Doc Oc is getting his chip put in, he directly speaks to Norman Osborn and states that he's a monster and the camera than is put back onto Norman for a solid 3 seconds.
