As a Clemson fan, Tajh was a legendary. Yes he had tons of weapons around him but he was the QB that put clemson on the map. Great video!

Tahj Boyd help put Clemson back on the map as a football powerhouse and set the stage for Deshaun Watson. Deshaun solidified their position leading them to National chips but Tahj laid that foundation. Check out his Orange Bowl duel against Braxton Miller and Ohio state in 2014 and his Chik fil A bowl game against LSU in 2012...he was a beast.

@AI Martins He says very different QB from Mike Vick. I think he's a much better passer than Vick was in college. Vick definitely a faster runner. Tajh was an excellent passer. He STILL holds the ACC record for passing TDs (107), ahead of Phillip Rivers (95), Deshaun Watson (90), Chris Weinke, and Russell Wilson.

Tajah is a good dude, we went to the same high school Phoebus in Hampton Va. And he won a championship for us! We loss our coach this year to cancer and players from the 80's to 2000's hooked up to say goodbye to our coach. Good story on him! Phantom Pride!!

The thing that I enjoy the most about this channel is how you always focus on positive life lessons in these videos. I enjoyed watching Tajh Boyd in his Clemson years and felt he got a hypercritical evaluation. I've seen other quarterbacks from storied programs get hyped up and gifted multiple chances, while having the same concerns people voiced about Tajh [Tebow, Manziel, Jimmy Clausen, Danny Wuerffel to name a few...]. I'm happy he's been welcomed back as an alumn at his alma mater and is able to be around the sport, and program he loved.

I was about 9 and went to a free football camp in Kingsport, Tennessee and when I got to the QB station, he was the classiest dude there. Got nothing but respect for the dude.

Taj put us on the map for a lot of things. He was a key point in a rise to the top for Clemson's football program. He is definitely beloved by most all fans of CLEMSON. Watson finally got us there any hopefully, Kelly Bryant, Hunter Johnson, Chase Brice or Trevor Lawrence can keep us there.

you should also do a video of why Dabo will one day Coach Alabama! Y'all gotta know when Saban retires Dabo is going home. he was born and raised in Pelham AL, played for the tide, won a Natty as a player for the tide. Started his Coaching career under Gene Stallings who played and coached under Bear Bryant. he even said " I've always seen my self coaching a National Championship from the Bama sideline when coming up" he was also said he would never say never when it comes to Coaching Bama. Remember Dabo didn't quite as an assistant coach at Alabama, he was fired with all of Gene Stallings staff once stalling stopped winning. He didn't leave by choice. He spent the first 13 years of his college career at Alabama, his entire family still lives in Alabama (not his wife and kids of course) Now don't get me wrong, Dabo is happy at Clemson, he loves what he has built,loves the school, loves the opportunity they have given him, but to Quote Bear Bryant why he left Texas A&M to go to Alabama 1958 and coach," Momma called. And when Momma calls, you just have to come running".

Short Story: When I was young, my cousin played at USC and let my youth football team come out and watch a practice. My father and I walked off before the practice started to explore the campus and stumbled in the main Football building (I don't know what it's called), but there was every trophy from USC football on display.. We walked up some stairs and saw Pete Carroll's Orange Bowl trophy, with the oranges still in them. As a joke, we walked around the corner and saw Pete's office with the door open. For some reason, we decided to snoop around once more and walked in on Coach Carroll in his office, typing something on a computer. We walked in, talked a bit and he walked with us to the practice field. Pretty crazy day if you ask me...

Wow, Tajh had a stable of receivers at Clemson. I think Tajh was talented but it also takes some luck and being drafted by the right head Coach. The Jets haven't had a great QB since Joe Namath. Maybe is wasn't his calling.

The 4th & 16 game vs LSU, to me, is the single most important game in modern Clemson football. That conversion, that catch is the single most important play. You could do a video on that alone.

Great story. Both Boyd and Steve Spurrier helped get Clemson to where they are today. Totally enjoyed that stretch of the South Carolina v. Clemson rivalry. Spurrier killed that rivalry by destroying South Carolina's program when he left the team out to dry and South Carolina loss blue chip recruits to Clemson in the process. That gave Clemson the upper leg in recruiting and they never looked back. Gotta give Dabo credit for taking advantage of an opportunity.

Also, Clemson was recruiting better than South Carolina in the midst of the losing 5 straight against them. Let’s just stop with the lies

I'm not saying that Clemson didn't have solid classes before the Spurrier fiasco but it definitely didn't hurt them that their rival school lost their ability to attract recruits. Common sense just says that made the decision for a lot of in state and Georgia recruits easier during that period. Like I said before, credit to Dabo for taking advantage of it. Shame on Carolina for not forcing Spurrier to retire sooner and having a viable line of succession in place. You're just looking for a reason to be adversarial so you can feel good about yourself. I get it. I'm not one to kick a man that needs a morale booster. So tell me. Do you want a cookie? Would that make you feel better? Honestly I liked the video, but you kinda left some things out. The real reason. Taj was an excellent athlete playing the position of quarterback. Nothing to do with his physical make up. It had to do with thw system. You touched on it briefly but not enough. The NFL wants you to go under center. Thats why the transition of quarterbacks who run the spread offense and never go under center generally dont make it or have a difficult time.( Taj, Geno, Pat White, Tim Tebow, Texas Tech Quarterbacks, and now RGIII)

He just Came along too early. He got his shot years before HCs and Offensice Coordinators started having success running “ College offenses” like Doug Peterson, Sean McVay, John Harbaugh, and Kliff Kingsbury. He would have a legit shot at a backup position on their teams.

And then he came up to the CFL and he could even crack a spot being released by Winnipeg then Montreal. What’s surprising was Montreal because they were going through the quarterback carousel.Running the spread off and say Clemson and being successful yes he did have a stacked receiving car he should’ve fit into the CFL game but he just couldn’t understand the offense and all the motions with the short play clock just an all out bust

Good work. I would advise a litttle more balance. coaches and GM have been wrong. If you look now because of recent success duel threat qbs are being given chances. I really think he was a good qb but timing was a issue. leaning toward the fact that he wasn't that good because of opinion without a chance doesn't do him ot future black qbs much justice.

The Crazy Shit is that The same Offense Tajh Boyd was successful with and marginalized for Is All over the NFL now. It's not that he couldn't have played or even became successful. The Jets didn't have any fuckin vision to build the Offense for him. That's all it was.
