North Indian managers get angry when I say I don't know hindi. Then they say comments like , how come you say you don't know "Rastriya basha". they purposely speak in Hindi in important meetings just for the south guys should not understand and ask for clarification and then they can make fun of us.. I am not a racist! I am a victim of racism!! They always make fun of Tamils and Kannadigas in all team outings, team dinner etc., When i speak in Kannada with my Kannadiga colleagues they dont like it and Asks us dont you guys have Cauvery dispute? How come you 2 be friends..? I have recruited a Kannadiga girl with 3 yrs experience, through my colleagues referal but my manager whose approval is final rejected her just bcoz she dont speak good hindi. Its b2b sales job, job is to speak to top level employees of other companies, hindi not needed actually.
