Why Warrior Nun Was Cancelled - A Community Divided 

Netflix really dislikes the Fantasy genre. They make the shows due to demand but cut them quickly compared to many lower rated shows that are not Fantasy. This was a fantastic show.

We need to cancel Netflix at this point

Netflix really did the shocked pikachu face. They didn't even promote the show like they do with other shows that are popular and then they act shocked when the viewership is low. The show is surprisingly so good and has so much potential.

I'm so done with Netflix. If they want to bring a wider audience, they should bring back Lucifer and warrior nun and turn that into a crossover. If they stick with that cancellation then Its fair for the fans to cancel Netflix.

I cancelled Netflix effective 28 December. Warrior Nun was a great show well acted, directed and loved by fans. This is Netflix’s usual way to treat fans. They don’t give a 🐀 ass about fans. I will only renew my subscription if they don’t cancel the series.

I hate how Netflix just used their money to spend on serial killers… this show is actually soooo good! AMAZING character development of these two and i love that there is more action and intimacy between them. SAVE WARRIOR NUN

This is where main stream television has a slight edge, in that if fans get behind something, they will run with it. Like doctor who, but it is hard to stay with a series when it's cut and repeatedly bought by other channels all the time.

I found this show and binged its first season in a few days, went on my second one and googled to see when is the third one coming(how much I'll have to wait) and then find out its cancelled, damn netflix again

Should have given three seasons, Netflix made a terrible mistake and should just let other networks take over shows that they no longer want.

It's always stupid when a show is canceled when the season ends on a cliff hanger. Ava will survive? Lilith will use her powers for the good? Beatrice will kick ass again?

Season 2 was excellent. Sometimes you just have to look at the quality of the show and realize it will gain a huge following. Fox does the same thing all the time.

Warrior Nun was an excellent series that included the best virtually unknown actors I've had the privilege of watching. From what I read elsewhere the entire budget for the show was less than the advertising Netflix paid for their new series Wednesday. With that tiny budget Simon Barry was able to produce quite possibly a literal miracle. I enjoyed Warrior Nun immensely. None of the sub plot lines surrounding the main character either being bi or lesbian ever felt forced down the throat like some other series have done. There was no social or political bias that I saw and Alba Baptista IMHO had the best chemistry with the other actors and flawlessly brought a sassiness to the character Ava. I could not believe that English was not Alba's first language. That is how good an actor she really is. The plot and story line along with all of the sub plots and supporting actors all came together in a way that easily could rival million dollar productions. Netflix executives are complete and utter idiots for cancelling this series. I actually hope that if they do not bring back this series for at least another two seasons that they lose subscribers to the point of going bankrupt. I am sick and tired of Netflix cancelling perfectly good series and removing perfectly good movies and television shows because of their algorithms and lack of storage space. They need to add more storage space to the servers and listen to real human beings review their content instead of basing decisions on algorithms.

Ughhhh season 2 was literally even better than season 1 after building on the slow burns, the stories, character developments... and they just cancel it after giving netflix one of the best numbers on the platform? #SaveWarriorNun please!!! :(

The cost of promoting the show was literally $0. They didn’t even try to promote the show and it ended up in the top ten anyway, even if it wasn’t for long. It even has more views than season 1 does.

Yeah Netflix really blew it again, our household loved the show. If it was not for several coming fantasy show this year we would cancel Netflix. We love the fantasy genre, we read the fantasy genre and we want to watch the fantasy genre, and Netflix is going to lose the fantasy loving watching public.

This is just typical of NETFLIX executives having absolutely no clue of how to run a company. The "Let's throw the spaghetti against the wall and hope something sticks" programing mentality is exactly why subscribers are leaving in droves. If you are going to commit to a show do it one of two ways. Either make it a limited series with a beginning a middle and and end or commit to a four season minimum so that viewers get a chance to see the characters and story development. Oh and bring back Dark Crystal while you are at it.

I'm not really shock, the screen effects are really another level and I guess in a long term it was not retable for Netflix, however, they should've finished the story. I think that at the end Netflix is another company directed only for people that thinks with his pockets the same happened to Sensai8. When a story is hard to digest for the people with money is a final "no". Let's remember that Netflix is not the only one. This actually remember me to Disney's cancelling "the owl lady"

I don't mind them cancelling shows, it's a part of reality. But when crappy shows are still on there and ongoing with multiple seasons...I just fail to understand.

No one cares about the counterfeit rating of rotten tomatoes and at this point we all know they also fuck with the user ratings, deleting low reviewed ones while letting the high reviewed ones stay. Netflix knows how many watched the show and if it would be enough, they wouldn't cancel it. but since it's just a loud minority on twitter, of which most people don't even watch it but just post the hashtag to be a good ally, it's not enough. On IMDB the show is at a 7.0. So rotten tomatoes is clearly faking the user reviews. It's just a mediocre show which hits the right notes for activists. those shows/stories have no future. only story illiterate people are enjoying those.

The only reason I could see it would even be considered for cancelation is that the first season was so much better than the second, but it was still better than anything else on Netflix. (Is it just me or is it obvious that this narrator never watch an episode?)

Had me hooked from the start. Could not get enough. Additionally the religious knowledge/blasphemy components added to it and I loved them!! I could separate the two.

Just several more comments here: As I said, I enjoy the show and would review it positively but 99%.......No......I don't think I've ever watched a perfect show......95% might be about as good as it gets for any show throughout history.....and WN is certainly not in that category. It's not the first time that Rotten Tomatoes has been manipulated.....Also, why did only 10 critics bother to review the show. That is an extreme low number for a show that is suppose to be this good. Interesting through they talk about other channels not picking it up because they would have to wait several years.....From what I've seen here lately, that is about the average time between seasons.

Maybe they will make a "movie" like they did with the last season of Sense8. Unfortunately, it is much easier to just make/ buy a new show then to keep making episodes of a show they already have. They thrive on churning out content. They do not care about making legacy shows.

I dropped off the second season after 1 episode. Mary was killed off and Lillith was following the very boring route of going evil. Those were both deal breakers for me.

If I didn't want to continue to re-watch Warrior Nun , first Kill , Wynonna Earp and the Wilds, I would stop watching NETFLIX today. I’ve cancelled my Netflix subscription long ago. I watched this last season at a friends house. They continuously cancel just about every series I get vested in watching. I’d say there’s almost a dozen shows that this has happened to. So I’ve moved on to watching content on the Roku channel with international content that has removed the bad taste that Netflix has left me with, and adding cancelled content from broadcast networks of series I’ve already watched and don’t have any interest in viewing again. I feel Netflix has the heads up the anal algorithm, that I don’t feel like funding my disappointment and regret any long subscribing to that streaming disservice.

The producers of these shows and directors should avoid Netflix, I'm a middle-aged man and I really enjoyed the action and characters of Warrior Nun It was something fun and different than other shows.

I loved Warrior Nun! After the end of season 2, I just knew there was going to be a 3rd season. And, I was anxious for season 3. It discusses me that Netflix does this to a lot of their shows which I like.

It's cancellations like this that make people end their streaming subscriptions. And that they can't grasp the concept of giving a show more time to gather a following or a more equal balance while promoting them is pathetic. I doubt any protest will make a difference, but I wish the other fans luck. I enjoyed the show, but I kid of expected NetFlix to do that.
