ABOUT VAUSH
Vaush is a based American leftist youtuber and streamer. More specifically, Vaush is a Libertarian Socialist who advocates for Market Socialism. He is against authoritarian forms of leftism and opposes people who praise communist dictators like Stalin and Mao, calling them Tankies. Vaush believes that all unjust hierarchy should be abolished, and his final goal is a libertarian socialist society where workers own their means of production. He's also an advocate for LGBTQ+ and minority rights. Throughout his career, Vaush has debated numerous figures all across the political spectrum from the right, far right, and far left.
MISSION STATEMENT
Present Vaush's content in bite-sized, digestible chunks in order to appeal to potential fans that just don't have the patience to sit through a live stream. After watching these videos, they will hopefully become "hooked" on Vaush and begin watching his long-format, unedited content. It also serves as a chill place for the fandom/comrade collective to hang out.

@@page8301 Yes but they'd have to be invited into the rocket since technically it's the astronauts' house. Also they'd probably need to either stay in the astronaut suit forever (and I'd debate if the helmet protects their face from the sun's rays) or stay on the dark side where the sun doesn't shine. Or inside the moon in the massive caves.

The Cullens stayed in high school as a social cover. Every few years, they would “graduate” and move out of state to set up somewhere else. They even had a whole mural of graduation caps as a sort of running joke between themselves.

Isn't it very inconvenient to move every 3 years? Someone in their late teens can easily pass as a young looking adult. A school cover seems avoidable.

@@bob513993 I doubt it. Some people age very slowly in their 20s. They could easily stay in a place for 10 to 12 years. Also, when we look at our self, were rarely noticed we aged until we see pictures of us taken in the past. It's the contrast we notice. Besides, realistically speaking, this moving scheme wouldn't work anyway since it doesn't take bureaucracy into account. Passports, driver licenses, social security numbers, records, bank accounts, work licenses, etc.

@@bob513993 In the worst case, those who know them will say "That's a bit strange" and that's it. We don't have photographic memories that compare any data point. If people believe someone looks slightly different, they will see slight variations even if there are none. Believing one ages very well is very plausible in our minds.

I was wondering if he was trolling with those examples, but I get his point. It makes no sense to have Adam Sandler or Steve Carrell doing a voice in your animated movie if they're doing such an outragious Transylvanian accent that it doesn't sound anything like them, or having famous actors in general in a movie aimed at kids too young to recognize their voices.

Speaking of that, the most recent discovery I got my eyes on is The Man With the Golden Arm. Good movie based on a great novel, from the reviews back in the 50's and it has Frank Sinatra in it.

@@nickkennedy9034 I don’t think I’ve ever watched a video about that Mario Movie. I remember only seeing bits and pieces of it as a kid, and always heard how much it sucked in the years since. Then, when I got an opportunity to watch it a few years ago I was pleasantly surprised and liked it.

In answer to the question, the Cullens were the vampire equivalent of vegans, they didn't feed off of humans, but animals like deer. They are tempted sometimes to make a meal out of humans though. That means they needed access to a healthy population of good sized wild animals, and not be around a lot of potential human prey, so cities are out, they need to stick to rural areas. Since they don't age, the local community of humans (Forks, WA) is pretty small, and they look young (though TBH in the movies they don't look high school aged, they look in their early to mid 20s. The "parents look about 20 years older than the children, no, that's not at all weird.), so they can't just hang out at home without an explanation as to what they are doing all day, people would talk. While I despise the books (and the movies are even worse), this does make sense. Edward Cullen is as creepy AF, the physiology of the vampires is just stupid (like, where does the blood go? Does it circulate? They seem to be made of crystal, why do they even need blood anyway? IMHO vampires are kind of dumb, but at least Anne Rice tried to come up with an explanation (a dumb one, but at least an explanation) this stuff is just idiotic.

I go into a liquor store with my wife and I get the "I need ID" from the clerk and my wife doesn't it's annoying. There are people my age that look like little elementary school kids too although thats fairly rare. Nobody has tried to stake me for being vampire yet

Because ancient vampires are hot, the audience was tweens who wanted a story about a vampire falling in love with them, and its fiction so they are never in danger. Kids arent stupid. I was reading the book gasping at all the bad decisions. Books need bad decisions for conflict. In theory we love the danger but in real life none of us were about that. We get it. Its creepy. Shut up about twilight already and let people have trash stories with bad plot and worse characters

I would say that doesnt just not make it better its almost... worse? What took place socially to make that concept one of the most popular female fantasies, its weird that powerful, rich, *old* men who just so happen to be irredeemably dark/violent/damaged/manipulative/abusive and in the body of a teen/ya is ideal. It just sounds like a sad fantasy when its boiled down. Not hating on a good vamp character but most popular ones arent that.
