hey k. so little update on the grocery shopping. there was some woman here who was yelling at another woman about how she should go back to china and how she was the one who spread the coronavirus. i’m filipino, not chinese, but i was still shocked that i actually witnessed it happen in real life and it really hurt me. i kept seeing her and i just was trying to avoid her but she was just everywhere. i had to get away bc i could feel my tears starting to well up and i just couldnt handle it. it really hurt me so bad. but anyway im sorry for bothering anyone but i kinda needed to rant.
So, is the silent treatment something people really do? It just seems so counterproductive to me if you're in a relationship you value. It's one thing to say something like "I'm too upset to discuss this right now, can we take a break from this until I calm down?", but to just straight up refuse to look at or talk to your partner just seems really immature. Idk, maybe that's just me.
I did that at first. Giving silent treatment bcs im not used to discuss my feelings and afraid of saying something I will regret. But as the time goes by, I always try to tell them "wait i need space to calm down" then i tell them how i feel after a while. Try to always communicate ur feelings.
