The first time I recalled seeing her was in The Sunshine Boys, saw it in the theater in 1975, totally smitten back then as a teenager. Incidentally, after multiple viewings the film is still hilarious. Her bigger role in The Producers is fantastic too.
Calling Mel Brooks an amateur is a far cry from the truth. Brooks had been a successful comedy writer since the 1950s when he wrote for Sid Caesar, first for _Your Show of Shows_ then for _Caesar's Hour._ He and Buck Henry had created the highly successful spy spoof TV show _Get Smart_ in 1965. While _The Producers_ was his directorial debut, by 1967 he was far from being an amateur.
I met her at a Grocery Store Grand Opening. I told her she was even more beautiful in person. She told me I would do well with the ladies. WOW 😳 !!! What a body.
@@pookysdad4884 Lee was not doing anything harmful to anybody. Sure she would have love to play other kind of roles too, but she was taking opportunity.
