I'll be honest lads I wanted to watch this but couldn't pick up a single word you said in the first 30sec so it's a no go. Get some proper mics.

This is your new subscriber sending you my love and thanks for reacting to one of my all-time favourite action films ever!!!!! 😎😍🤩🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻🍿📽️🎞️ First time I watched the film (theatrical cut first then directors cut), I was completely following Chev Chelios and feeling like I was drugged in my sleep with need to survive no matter the cost. 💉🩸🥴🤢😠😤😡🤬🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️🏃🏻‍♂️ Everything about this film - the writing/direction from Mark Nevaldine and Brian Taylor, Adam Biddle’s cinematography, Brian Berdan’s editing, the use of real locations, the stunt work, the acting performances - in particular Jason Statham (Chev Chelios), Amy Smart (Eve), Jose Pablo Cantillo (Ricky Verona), Dwight Yoakam (Doc Miles) - the music composed by the Underworld maestro himself Paul Haslinger (the music cue when Chelios enters the Lint Hotel ready for war - best music cue to build up anticipation and excitement. Like a James Bond film, a Die Hard film or a Punisher film), the lack of CGI and green screen Chelios and Verona falling in the sky was filmed in green-screen set with real footage of the landscape/skies inserted in green-screen in post-production), real practical special effects (especially the hand sewing machine) etc - were top notch. Considering this was a low budget film, the cast/crew went all out with improvising otherwise they’d be unwise. Originally somebody else was going to play Chelios before Statham took the job - I think Clifton Collins Jr. was offered the role but turned it down - a decision he regretted upon seeing the film and admiring it. No wonder why he made it up by doing Crank 2. Love the idea of a deadly poison used as a deadly experiment involving horses as guinea pigs - something from a horror film when you think about it. My personal fav moments were the interrogation between Chelios and gangster Orlando (Reno Wilson), the taxi cabbie getting thrown out and attacked for being part of “al-Queda” (“I live in America! I love [George W] Bush!!!!” - famous last words before getting his leg dislocated), Chelios and Eve getting it on @ Chinatown (the crowd/onlookers were real people, not extras), the warehouse/shirt factory shootout and the helicopter fight/final showdown between Chelios and Ricky Verona. There are members of the cast that have had previous acting experience prior or starting out acting for first time: Sam Witwer (Agent Liberty from Supergirl, Davis Bloome from Smallville, Crashdown from Battlestat Galactica, Darth Maul from Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Solo), Efren Ramirez (Pedro Sanchez from Napoleon Dynamite), Keone Young (Storm Shadow from GI Joe animated series), Glenn Howerton (Dennis Reynolds from Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Corey Howard from That 80s Show), Noel Gugliemi (Hector from Fast & Furious 1, street punk from Training Day and another street punk from Bruce Almighty), Edi Gathegi (later known as the X-Man Darwin from X-Men: First Class, gang member Bodie from Death Sentence, vampire Laurent from Twilight, police deputy Martin from 2009 remake of My Bloody Valentine and right now he’s Mr Terrific from upcoming Superman 2025). My theory about the old man sleeping comatose-like in the hospital that Chelios came across might be his dad (revealed later as a Jeremy Kyle/Steve Wilkos talk show host in Crank 2). Indications about Chelios’ background were prominent in this only to be further developed later in Crank 2. P.S. god rest Chester Bennington (Linkin Park frontman w/ Mike Shinoda). Gone but never forgotten. Didn’t realise he was occasional actor until I watched the film as I’m used to him as a musician. 🪽🪽🪽🪽💔💔💔💔🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻 Finally, one time I did a Home Alone prank on my mum by blasting the Chelios/Orlando scene on full volume while on the phone, fooling her that someone broke into my house, such a funny day I’ve had but mum was mortified before and after I told her it was all a prank 😂😂😂😂😂😂
