It’s not exactly the same since it doesn’t use painted strokes really, but I found a feeling lesser, but similar to the way these ones make me feel in the later seasons of the dragon prince which use 3D models that are cell shaded and have line work. Or in into the spider verse with the characters having classic comic book accent lines drawn on top of 3D models.

I drew Ekko and Vi in Arcane's style and I noticed an immediate change when I drew other unrelated characters. Their face shape and features were more defined and had more variation than what I was previously drawing. I'm definitely gonna play around with my style now. And I'm glad you're satisfied with your rendering! That's awesome!

It's not bad, the Disney/Pixar style is so overdone, any variety is generally good for 3d animations.

As an artist who loves drawing faces, I also wanna add that Arcane is great for artists because of how EXPRESSIVE the characters are. In a lot of animated shows nowadays, there's not much non-verbal stuff going on, especially in the face, since the animation is made quickly to be released faster and whatnot. But in there, you can just see all the subtle face changes, you can just know what a character is thinking simply by looking at their faces. It's so exciting to look at, it's as if you were watching some Don Bluth stuff or something like that. Beautiful

I rewatched Arcane like, 8 times. It's a moving painting with such an amazing story. One of the best shows I've seen in my life. Don't let the fact that it's a game adaptation drive you away from it, you could go into Arcane blindly and enjoy it just as much as gamers, if not more than them because you are new to the universe.

Watching the behind the scenes for the creation of arcane is just amazing. How many people worked on the sketch, the animation, the drawing, the voice lines, the music, the background and atmosphere, and it all eventually added together to make Arcane. Just wow.

I can absolutely agree with this! I started drawing some arcane characters a few weeks ago since it's my favorite show and my art has improved *so so* much! I can really reccomend that method of learning how to draw since the art style is bascialy a whole big tutorial of how to draw easy but realistically shaped faces. I can also really reccomend drawing silco, Markus or even heimerdinger since all of them have a very unique face shape and style which really improved my skills *ALOT*

It’s actually helped me improve character design in general. Lot of semi skin tight cloths and the planes of the face are obvious. Take that a step further and put these things into motion, and it becomes easier to get a grasp on the forms

I've always liked a mix of painting and 3d especially how netflixs klaus is usually 2d but so detailed they look 3d really lighting can make anything look amazing
