I genuinely believe most people visiting the store are doing it out of sheer boredom.

I mean, not to take away from other content creators, but at least from my perspective, I like your videos beacause they're not childish like many others, without those things that most adults can't stand, the overreaction to simple things or the constant screaming or the "acting", you're more genuine and grounded. You got to believe more in yourself and in your audience, man! And I miss the RTG a lot by the way

I'll give my two cents, having not played FIFA in 15 months. I started playing FIFA in FIFA 13 and played every year (except 16) up until FIFA 23. I played anywhere from 6-12 hours a day, without fail, every year. It was like an addiction to me. But the frustrations became too much. It was always the same. Nothing felt truly rewarding. I started to realise the dopamine hits I was receiving were not healthy and they became less and less impactful over time. I quit for the sake of my own mental health because this game controlled my day. It impacted my relationships. It was not good. It's funny looking at this game now, 15 months later, and it's still the same. Same game, same look, same issues. It makes me so glad and justified in my decision to not play it anymore. My love for football is enough and honestly, not playing this game has opened up the world around me. I honestly think this game can be such an unhealthy addiction to people like it was for me, and that is why it's just not fun anymore. It feels like a chore when it should be a game. And I will not be playing it any time soon.

For the player detail's tab it'd be much much better if they showed the amount of passes, shoots, tackles, etc that that specific player has done while in your club... Not a game change, of course, but way more interesting

I do think that it’s an unreasonable expectation to think a single videogame should capture your attention every day meaningfully for literal decades.

One thing I noticed is that when I play this game intensely, my happiness goes down, and when I play more casually, I enjoy it a lot more. Just play the game. Don’t focus on what you are going to get. Just know you’ll get good cards. Enjoy what you get. Don’t chase after certain players and you will be OK. That’s what I’ve learned over the past year or so of playing this game.

I might be in the minority on this one… but am I the only one who feels like this is the communities fault? We’ve been asking for more and more out of this game every year and it’s finally gotten to the point where it is just to easy. Maybe they need to reset hard on EA FC and just do a complete overhaul on the power curve and amount of promos we get. Focus more on gameplay and not promos.

The only way to enjoy the game is if you're bad like me but even then it's annoying. The best WL I've got is 11-7. I usually get a max of 9 wins and a lot of games are extremely difficult. I enjoy the game because of the challenge but I hate the game because of inconsistencies and packs. Everytime I open a pack I feel cheated. I know I'm not going to pack anything but the hope is what gets you.

Nothing will change if people keep buying the game and buying packs, why would they? They’re making bank regardless cos they know people keep spending money

My problem is, when ultimate team first started, thats what it was, it was almost like an offline and online career mode where you could take the team you created and put them in a league and work your way through them. Feels like we have lost so much from the game, what we gained is stupid rainbow cards that make EA a fortune. Bring back the game not the drain.

The way I describe this game now, I packed Grizeman the other day. Easily my best pull I’ve ever had. And you know what. I couldn’t give two shits 😂😂😂😂😂 You get no Enjoyment out this game anymore. It’s just a numb experience, playing because of FOMO…

Hold up..this guy is complaining the game is too easy and he gets too many top players for not doing much. We aren't all as good as you are at the game and I'm sure most ppl don't mind getting good players to play with so I think the problem is YOU. You have grown out the game and don't want to play anymore but because its a a source of income you don't or can't stop playing. Don't ruin it for the rest of us. Also does anyone else stop and think why the top tier don't get as good rewards as the lower tiers? Your already top tier and don't need to improve as much as the lower tiers need to improve so EA make the probability of lower tier getting better rewards. What is wrong with that? Let me guess you want the elite players to keep getting the better players so the others can't compete.

There’s gameplay and content, two separate things. To me, first one is more important, but we’ve somehow gotten used to this being a card collection and packs’ opening game. I do like that they’ve finally made players like Kane and Lewa good this year, but i hate this idea of abusing a certain, nonsensical irl life way of playing and low-skilled players just abusing the sht out of it.

The issue is gameplay, it’s just not enjoyable to play the actual game, I can win, and it’s just so draining because the gameplay is so sluggish that I have no desire to play more.

Hits hard for me, I was a mad nerd on fifa just a few years back. Most games I ever played was on fifa 19. Next 3 fifas games played dropped by a quarter each time and this one I waited until it was on the damn game pass of all things to try it lmao. I'm happy not to be in that cycle anymore but man it's an oof not caring about football games anymore considering me and the boys were on it day one for years half of us on rtgs and the rest spent

My biggest issues are: -Pack Weight -Untradeable Duplicates -Lack of Casual Grind Pack Weight is non existent for the most part compared to previous years. 100k packs and 50k packs have become obsolete. You now have to open a 400k/500k pack to even get close to the pack weight of a 100k pack in previous iterations of the game. Untradeable Duplicates do my absolute head in. As a casual player I dont have endless amounts of fodder, so I have to be selective in terms of what SBC's I do. If I get an untradeable 89/90 dupe it means I have to put it into an SBC I don't want and waste my other fodder, or dont open packs until an interesting SBC comes up. Let me store them somewhere, really annoys me. Lack of Casual Grind makes the game a bit stale. I like to open packs more than play the game, but the lack of continous grind means I don't bother turning the game on. Also ties in to pack weight, in the sense that even the ones that are somewhat grindable just give packs that are useless on this game. I'm hoping EAFC24 fixes these issues, I didn't buy FIFA 22 until near the end of the game cycle when it was €20, and I only bought this one when the World Cup came around. Unless EAFC changes things, I probably won't bother.

Fifa should have much less content, they should have promos on a 3 week basis and when a promo is there the promo has more content that the content than what the current promos get, also they need to reconstruct sbc's, promo cards and squad building all together cause this formula gets boring after 2 months of playing

I once bought a bandit from a shop for my house when they brought it to me they asked what win % I want on it. That was 19 years ago. Imagine the things they could do now. Pack luck is fixed every pack u open is fixed.

I must say I disagree with your premise that enjoyment directly relates to grind - after a day's work I don't necessarily WANT to have to sit here and grind bronze packs

For me the game is poor, gameplay is terrible and inconsistent. However I come back to play time and time again for the competition. I like the small dopamine hit of beating someone using sweaty tactics or pulling out an insane fut champs run. Sbcs and pack have never been the be all and end all for me, I just like playing to win and learning from losses to then go again. Unfortunately things will not be any better with EAFC, nothing will change until there is some actual competition in the genre. This is the first year I haven't spent any money on the game and I have the best team I have ever assembled, yes everyone has amazing teams but should we go back to massive desparity of squads that are just based on your bank balance.

Been playing fifa since fifa 15 and this is the only fifa where I have a crazy team. I played every since fifa 15 except for fifa 19. I hardly put serious hours into the game. The problem I have with fifa is that they make everything too easy for players. I remember playing fifa 15 and having a gold team for almost all year. The thought of grinding divisions was fun and made you want to play the game.

whole game is now just a huge cash grab, there's nothing to grind because they just want you to buy packs, it's really disgusting

i'm glad you make a good living out of fifa because if not i'd feel extremely sorry for you. The last 6 years has been nothing but depression, for the last 2 years i haven't purchased and just waited for gamepass.

I really don't understand how they can't give us good game modes and more engaging content. Like they have a mode where you can have all the creativity in the world. But all they do is the bare minimum. It's honestly sad cause with good game modes with different types of matchmaking and more engaging content with real football for example would be so much better...

Definitely not alone on this nep, i get on the game every day to have some form of hope, thinking something new and cool would come out but nothing changes, and its worse when you play your absolute best but gameplay is atrocious, rewards are atrocious, and you just lose motivation to continue. Its very frustrating.

TBH I see the problem as a very different one from most other people in this game. I can't tell if the problem is EA or the community tbh, because what I hate is that everyone uses the same boring meta teams and players. I personally use the players I like in real life even if they're not the most meta out there but just as long as they're good enough, but I deny to believe that that's what most people do. I've come to actually respect people with full Prem teams more than the POTM Mbappe, mid Jairzinho, mid Zidane, flashback Ramos meta sweats out there. What do they get from playing like that? 1 or 2 more wins in champs than if they'd used players they actually like? Who cares? Maybe it's EA's fault but then again I don't think those Jairzinho, Zidane, Ramos and especially POTM Mbappe SBCs were decently priced at all. If they made them more expensive it wouldn't have changed a thing I don't think. I think the community playing this game is just as much of a problem as EA and I feel like I get that confirmed everytime someone quits on me when drawing just so I don't get a win

I started playing MLB the show and oh God the amount of content that has is unbelievable. Even with all the 99s. One thing for the player screen is I want to be able to see where a player played in the past. I can get lost in real life stats in other games but on FUT I cant even see where a player played at before. Kind of like the heros screen. Mlb does moments so right and they never feel repetitive. Fifa is dead

Games in general are so much worse than what they were 10 years ago. I’ve played games all my life and I’m at the stage that I cba anymore, I came back to FIFA this year and enjoyed it, but now I have done all the objectives, qualified for champs, won’t play rivals because I don’t want friendlies to be sweaty, and there is generally fuck all to play for now. They suck the fun out of anything now to get you in the store, it’s dead.

People just complain to much. Rewards are random and give you better chances the better you do. No different then winning the lottery buying 1 ticket compared with people buying hundreds of tickets and not winning anything. People forget that in fifa 10 rare gold contracts were 1500 coins snd 41212 formation cards were 10k-15k for each starting 11 player. Sbcs didn’t exist, no champs, etc. I don’t play Rivals or squad battles and have a silly team while wasting fodder on sbcs players I never use all the time. This game is to easy. They should add more untradeable duplicate storage and permanent upgrade packs/picks like 81x2 or 83 picks, etc though

i dont even think the content is bad in this game, we have loads of sbcs, loads of cool players and promo teams, and i genuinely think for the average person who has a few hours to play a day there is more than enough to do, the problem however is that the gameplay is SO SO SO bad that it feels completely pointless doing any of the content

The pack weight is what drove me away. It's not even a casino, it's a scratch-off ticket. Why would I want to open 200 packs for only one usable card? That's absurd.

"EA has by far one of the best servers in the world" is by far the biggest load of rubbish ive heard in a while. Sure, it could not apply to you that inconsistent gameplay may is a reality for a lot of people but downright hyping servers that produce a numerous amount inconsistencies in gameplay is wild.

Can you imagine if on the player attributes screen, there was a tab with highlights you’ve had with that player. Just little things could make ultimate team so much better but it’s always the same

I get all the ranting about nothing being really new. I'm here to tell you that the gameplay literally is horrible and terrible. Eversince the game was released, i have been reading and ranting in literally 100 forums and chatrooms to find a solution why the gameplay feels like trucks basically all the time. It just completely ruins it for me. I still play from time to time, but as soon as the servers starts to rattle, i genuinely am not able to turn and interact, so i leave. Having said that, there is just no point in playing the weekend league when i have to leave anyway.

One of the biggest things for me is the sheer amount of special cards. Promo after promo just results in powercreep happening way to fast, and the same players being meta. This also just de-values special cards in general. TOTW is a joke at this point They also need to either remove chemistry together or revert it back to how it was before. I also believe the whole game being shifted to untradable items is bad too. This results in players having mostly untradable teams that they can’t sell if they want to try out new leagues/players

Same every year for me always end up with a beast team where no players can really improve my team other than the big icons and team of the years which i never pack and cant afford to buy

i get it, it’s essentially the same game every year with a few gameplay mechanics added and updated squads with a reskin. it’s nothing new.

As someone as you knows who loved the grind, nothing seems special any more. Like when you'd see a team with a cool expensive card, you'd go wow and have pride in your team and what you've got. Now no team is significant, different, unique or impressive to attain. And as much as people can sit here and say x,y and z drives the game, in my opinion, the only thing that FIFA had (and it was great) was the pride in the team and club you had assembled. It was packing a TOTS Cyprien in FIFA 17 and showing him off to your mates, or completing the LibSud 20 times so you could complete that Player Moments Alex Sandro in FIFA 20. There used to be a progression, which you could both see, feel and be excited about in FIFA. Going from a gold card, to a good gold card (which dont exist anymore) to an inform to a promo card etc. Now there are simply 2 tiers: the best and the rest. The best are simply so scarce and limited to so few players that 1 in 10000 will ever pack one and the gamemodes are that unimportant to a clubs journey that there is no importance to buy them. And the rest, whilst they have provided more options than ever in this regard, are so unimpressive that they dont give any feeling getting them. It's just apathy. I packed TOTS Merino today. Imagine in FIFA 17-20 getting him, he'd be 800k+, in my team straight away testing him out, that one pull would take me into the game and Id enjoy it. Now I could either do the same, and have him be my 100th midfielder in my club I could use to get 14 wins, or I can see what SBC I can put him to get another mediocre card (or an icon pack which is the only SBC where you can get actual "best" tier cards, but 1 in 1000 will). And for me, the most frustrating thing about this (and not pinning the blame on the community, as I was a part of this), is this is a result of changes that individually the community wanted. 40 and 30 games were too much, so we got 20. Individually that is great, but now it's so few games you check out at an easy tier, get the rewards, and the importance on having good players is gone. We wanted more and more SBCs, and SM and WF upgrades. They are very cool, but now again, the FIFA cards we get are 10 a penny. We wanted more achievable packs and objective content. We have this year got more than any year so much content for playing the game. We wanted more accessible players on the transfer market and now you can for 200k build a team capable of getting your maximum wins in Champs. But collectively, what we have now is a "journey" through the year which is just the same. I remember in FIFA 17 POTY Jensen was a hero for me for most of the year, as my club progressed he remained. That's not going to be the case now, as the next promo will give me 5 different Jensen type players. Or that one promo card you could pack (because they were rare and actually special) would be in your team for the longest time, and you'd remember him as a club hero. That's not going to happen now because everybody can probably pack 5 of each promo team, theres another 3 in SBCs, 1 in objectives, and they are all the same as cards we got 2 promos ago and 2 promos in the future. FIFA gameplay has never been good in peoples eyes. And given that every single thing in this game leads to gameplay (because SBCs and store gives players that you can only use in games), it must mean something else drove us to play the game, and imo, that was the progression, the building of, guess what, my "Ultimate Team". Nowdays you build an endgame team (endgame for the intents and purposes of what people use FUT for these days) within a few days, and spend the rest of the year feeling obligated to play what's there, as opposed to trying to find a reason to not play the game and stop yourself grinding as was the case in the past. I just fear that the way to fix this is to revert back to the older FIFA styles, with lesser rewards, more games, rarer cards etc, and the community would not accept that.

EA rigs packs and player picks. Final nail in the coffin to finally convince me was La Liga player picks from WL and packs. The majority of the players are super good yet out of my 3 picks, the same players would appear!

Same game every year. Same modes, same bugs and money grabbing practices. All the good rewards locked behind time comsuming and competitive play when 90% of players just want a fun/casual experience

For the OGs, the games finished. I’m 30 and I’m done with UT now. Not worth it, leaving it to the younger gen. And for all the younger guys that wanna try act up, you just had to be there, but you was about 5 at the time

I think they made advanced SBCs untradable to stop SBC accounts, I was making 500k a day in lockdown fifa 20 on average and wasn’t banned once, sort of fair play

It’s the maturity level of yours, RTFMNick and Inceptions content that I come back every day for. The informative side of content and gameplay interests my type of audience more than the spastic goofy over energised content of Danny Aarons, Castro, Zwe etc

EA can make EAFC as different as they want, but FIFA dont have EA shackled on the gameplay and the gameplay is the worst aspect of the game, who cares if the menu content is great if the gameplay is dead

I couldn't feel any closer to a video than this, Been playing fifa religiously since Fifa 99 and FUT since 09 but the last 2-3 years I have been playing less and less and not feeling as attached as I once was. Have barely played at all this year and have an elite team it's just way to easy to obtain good players, the gameplay makes me angry with how many broken mechanics there are, menus have become a bore since less things to grind, No point in obtaining random juiced players from off leagues as there is never any requirements may as well just use the best if you have it, Overall Fifa has become so limited, stressful and boring over the years people literally have to try make their own fun, I pay for games to enjoy myself and have fun something this game no longer does for me and this is the reason I haven't touched it in months.. Going to be difficult to pick up future EA football games after these last few years, it feels as if new players are more important to them then older ones just like most companies sadly

I agree with you Nep but i do think that EA dont make the game for someone whos job it is to play the game, so theyre not going to cater to those people as much. They make it to be a game for the casual player and not someone to make content with. Maybe try making a series like AJ3s squad builder showdown, allows you to have fun with the game and means you dont always play with the same cards.

Like there's nothing wrong with wanting to make money, but you should still do your best to put the best game out for your customers, make it enjoyable, engaging and rewarding. Day in and day out having nothing to grind and only being directed to the store is what's disgusting to me.

I don’t care for silvers but they keep putting on xp for season to play toys silver cup everyone has nets silver players and it’s so sweaty you can’t win a game it’s harder that weekend league, so frustrating

I think there are 2 reasons, why Nep specifically fell out of love with this game. The first one he even said himself: he is not relevant anymore. He is, what we usually call, an attention whore. Do anything for views and attention itself. The second reason is his sorare addiction. If you look closer, those two go hand in hand. He wants to do content on sorare and so on, why? Because not many others do so he could be relevant again. Once more people create content over there, the same happens until he finds something else. The sad thing is, he drowns a lot of FIFA players with him. The constant negativity suggest all the viewers that this game is just bad. Which it isnt. It is not what some want it to be, but if you actually work your 8-10 hours per day playing FIFA after that is still enjoyable (apart from the delay issues).

I stopped playing competitively and lowered my expectations. I’ve had a neutral experience, not bad, nor good, so it’s an improvement.

For me the objectives are just meh , i look and i think i just cba to do it cause in the higher divisions getting a goal and assist and a win with some specific shit player against meta squads is not worth the hassle , and in squad battles its just so boring its torture , i,ve only done the xp ones on the recent objectives .

Everyone needs to try have more fun and use different teams, where have the days gone where you’d make an English bronze team and use it. I know different cards are way worse now but it’s still fun to do. Maybe you’ll only get 5 wins in champs with your Belgian league team but those 5 wins will feel better than getting 16 wins, raging the whole time. The gameplay isn’t the best but it’s made worse by everyone using the same OP players. And although the content is terrible on some days and EA for the most part don’t know anything about their own game, but everyone’s teams are so good it doesn’t matter what they bring out.

I can't say game is easy now, it's way harder now for me mostly, cannot compete or even win sometimes.

In my opinion ea are giving we too much in return of nothing, for example, you can give all your fut champions game, yet you will again get reasonable good rewards or with icons. Back in the days icons were something speacial to have, now most of them are irrelevant and also having icons in your team is irrelevant since everyone can have 1,2, even 3 with the amount of icon player picks and packs we get

Yeah I still enjoy playing the game, it’s the only Xbox game I play. I don’t get the best of pack luck so I just decided I would start doing some investing every now and then, I have cool team and still enjoy using it every week.

It's a poor game. I quit a few weeks back after my son sat with me and noticed all the nonsense and commented on all the BS he was seeing in a game (he is 10). It didn't feel fun. It made me frustrated. It wasn't rewarding. I just don't care anymore.

Last thing I’ll say about nep and this is video is that it sounds like he’s bored of the game or looking for different content since the game is dead for him. Nep should have added more versatility to his content since a few years back. We watch nep because of the way he breaks things down or educates/informs. I think he should have created Vlogs of him going to arsenal games since he’s a massive gunner and talked about the game or stuff like that. I’m 100% sure that would have helped him switch his content and help with viewership. He should have capatilized on that, but maybe he doesn’t go to games or vlog em cause of privacy which is understandable. You can’t get behind with content in todays age.

This game isnt dead because its too easy to get a good team. I like that aspect. The problem is theres nothing to do with it and the gameplay is shit snd servers are worse. Spend weekend ppaying 30 gsmes for red picks and coins i dont need. Champs reward path needs to be ingaging. Exsluvise reward cards in champs. Something.
