A team from Los Alamos National Laboratory recently went to the Haughton Impact Crater on Devon Island, Canada. It is the largest uninhabited island in the world. Nina Lanza and her team tested autonomous drones in the frigid environment that is similar to Mars.

Thanks for doing the research with drones at the poles. I had an idea for drone research in Antarctica back when I was in grad school and no professors liked the idea. It's nice to see the idea validated and tested out in the wild.

We should be focusing on BIOMEDICAL research if we actually want sustained manned space-flight and interplanetary exploration.
