Why your prices are so high?
Recently I saw a reel by one of our photographer friends….
He was justifying his high price with his heavy investment on professional equipment. He has listed his equipment with the price he paid for.
All this may look OK if you see it superficially.
I had commented on the reel and my comment was going viral with huge number of likes. I thought I must share that with you for a better understanding of our photography business.
I think it is not correct to expect the clients to pay for our investment on equipment.
Investing on expensive equipment is our choice.
How our investment on the equipment is used in the job is most important.
We can justify higher price only when,
We deliver professional quality work with greater commitment, responsibility and understanding.
Our creativity is unique and different from others
We have good behaviour, manners, and work discipline
We can handle a wedding (especially big weddings) efficiently
We have a brand value - brad value becomes better only when we practice photography with professional ethics
Remember,
The clients should first like us and next our work not our equipment.
End of the day clients want just valuable wedding photos. They do not care as how much we have spent on our gadgets or equipment.
