I actually loves when you use 'affordable' instead of 'cheap'. Coz while it cheap for tourists and foreigners, its still not really that cheap for locals from inflation and currency exchange pov. So 'affordable' i think a proper middle ground to describe a cost of living for people coming to Malaysia.

The entire time they were talking about this I thought it was kinda tone deaf considering prices are not very cheap for local Malaysians. It's just a privilege that comes with currency exchange. Life is always easier for foreigners with the money, isn't it? I mean happy for them but it feels a little tone deaf to me.

@rotipandan totally agree. Good luck to them, but yea as long as they are earning a Western wage its going to be cheap. Maybe talk to a local who's earning a local wage and talk about the cost of living

Assalamualaikum..I am a Malaysian..nowadays there are too many foreigners who want to come to Malaysia and want to start life in Malaysia..Malaysia is a peaceful and harmonious country of course not 100% perfect..but if it is a Muslim who wants to start life in Malaysia because to practice Islamic comfortably we are very welcome.. but if non-Muslims who want to start life in Malaysia by practicing western ideology (Liberalism) and to take the opportunity to live luxuriously in this country, I recommend stopping that intention and not coming ❤🇲🇾

You have to go to other countries to appreciate Malaysia. For instance I lived for decades both in Saudi Arabia and the Philippines and from what I have experienced, Malaysia is a perfect mix or blend of both countries that I previously lived. A Muslim country and a tropical country. Their economy is on par or going into the right direction compared with the developed countries. If you ask me as a foreigner, Malaysia is a perfect country for me, Masha'Allah.

I just so love that you have found such acceptance in Malaysia. Many years ago I visited for several months when my sister was teaching in Kuala Trengganu. I was brought up in the Christian Faith but I found the acceptance and friendliness of the Malaysian people across all Faiths, absolutely heart-warming with zero discrimination. It resulted in me returning more than half a dozen times for extended visits, over the past 45 years, even though my sister returned to New Zealand 25 years ago. Friendships across different Faiths built during that first visit, still continue today.

Great choice. As an American who was just there 2 weeks ago, I was in awe. As a solo traveler, I do have to be mindful of what I spend money on and I was way under budget. Yes, there are plenty of cafes and coffee spots to replace Starbucks and they’re a lost tastier.

Salam, congratulations! I'm so happy for you guys, I think it's a really good idea to move to a safer, warmer and more peaceful country. I've been thinking of it for years but didn't know which safe, warm and peaceful country to move to. Now, Malaysia sounds very tempting. Ramadan Mubarak by the way. May Allah grant you all your dreams during this blessed month.❤😊

Welcome to Malaysia. I lived in Canada for 8 years before moving back to Malaysia. I checked out your previous videos on the reason you moved to Malaysia. I'm sorry you had to Canada for reasons you couldn't control. I'm surprised to hear that Canada is no longer what it used to be. I hope Malaysia tick all the boxes in your checklist for you to relocate here permanently.

What kind of business and investment require to start? Yes now i started searching that on google and youtube. Appreciate your feedback.
