In this video we explain the benefits of rotational grazing and how we got into it. We also explain why we chose premier one fencing to do out rotational grazing. We hope that this is going to allow us to manage our pastures better to grow healthier soils, healthier grass, and healthier animals.

This was a new take on "Don't Fence Me In" for this Texas gal! Thanks for the insight into your decision.

I have that net wire I use on my miniature pigs. I love it and they don’t so it works great. Haven’t tried it for goats yet but I may to split up grazing pastures. Thanks for the info

Great video. Couple of questions for discussion maybe… what’s your charger look like for all of that?… I fenced in maybe an acre inside the big pasture last year just to add another paddock… I used 2 strains and a Gallagher s12 I think.. most of the does knew exactly how close they could get before it snapped them… I had one doe that would just walk through it… lol. Another question…have you ever figured up how much it impacts your electric bill?…. Like what’s the cost to power all that fence?…. Vs maybe using a solar charger?…

We have an older Gallagher charger. It’s nothing fancy and we need to up grade. As long as you don’t have resistance on the wire where it is grounding out it doesn’t use much power at all no matter how much wire you have on it. We will probably be looking into getting a much larger charger before to long and it will probably be solar.

I was looking at that exact fence for goats/sheep. Is the 35” forking out ok ? Or do we really need to do the 42” tall for the goats in particular ?

I have only had one jump it the whole time I have been using it and she is no longer on the farm. I think the 35” is the right size.
