Yes, yes. I would like to add that the Bible shows us how we ought to live. I know everyone don't know everything, but one thing that she stated that I don't agree with is that she doesn't believe in being a teacher of the Gospel. When Christ teaches us, we are to teach others about the Gospel. Look at the disciples and apostles. Some died for spreading the Good News. His death and resurrection and eternal life (Matthew 28:20) must be stated before all. Without repenting from sin we are to perish and people need to know this. Matthew 7:21-27 and John 3:16. There is only one God, and no other Isaiah 45:5. So, Buddha, Baal, Shiva, etc. are idols. We can't live for our Lord and be afraid of offending others. We are going to offend others indirectly just by living for Christ without one word being spoken. But we must speak the truth when opportunity presents itself, and of course be led by the Spirit. I have no problem stating only Jesus saves, and that is our only way to heaven. But we are to love everyone and respect others' decisions as Christ did the same when they chose not to follow Him. Christ did not bash anyone for not choosing Him. But she is on her journey and as she stated she is still learning. May God be with her.

Exactly! Its says 997 000 subs on my end, but like Alba said numbers do not validate you and its easier said then done but its really true. I also think that people pushing wholesome lifestyle are being pushed out of the algorithm who knows. It seems the ones who have alot of power these days want to keep pushing negative things to our youth. So the channels that really have good messaging we should really do our best to support. Sometimes it's not the people, I hear very often that RU-vid or it's algorithm actually unsubscribe people from certain channels or don't notify them for certain channels they are subscribed to for notifications.

I just wanted to thank you for being so candid + transparent about your weight journey. You helped me feel more comfortable in my skin, and I wanted you to know that. I myself have fluctuated a lot through my course of life. 115 on my wedding day and 6-months after that was a size 12. Started with a B+ and after having + nursing 2 babies am a 32F!! I am only 5-feet, so you can imagine the back + shoulder pain that comes with it. I was 137lbs at full term while pregnant with my son. My children are now 14 + 10, I am NOT pregnant, and (because of Quarantine + debilitating chronic illness) I am currently 150lbs! I am confident in my body, I eat as healthy as possible, I just can’t have a regular exercise routine because of chronic pain… However while I’m not mad at what I look like, I wanna FEEL better. I can feel the extra weight my body has to carry. Anyhow, I just wanted to show my appreciation by leaving a comment! Thank you for your truths,

I’m in the EXACT same place as you Alba. I’m the same height and weight and have had to change my mentality around it. My best weight is 157-160, but I’m no longer doing actual diet plans. I’ve decided to approach it in much more holistic way and be CONSISTENT with it. I’ll see how it goes. Good luck to both of us 😊

You have been one of my favorites on RU-vid for a long time now and your journey with healing your son inspired me so much to stay on the same path. Your views and spirituality should always be respected no matter if people don't agree. Although I have good memories of the traditional Christmas, having kids now prepares me to want to teach them better and never mislead them, it's something I've been struggling with navigating what to do this year. It’s the Truth and it’s important that we share the Truth. It wasn’t easy for Paul to preach while constantly being attacked - it would’ve been easy to just say “hey guys just believe in something”. The Truth can be uncomfortable and it’s ok if they don’t want to hear it, as long as it’s told and we come from a place of love. I love everyone regardless of their faith. If someone is “turned off” of the Truth because they base it on ‘people’ (people of all religions have attributes and characteristics that aren’t all attractive) then they should reevaluate and try having an intimate relationship with Jesus. Of course as Christians we have a responsibility to spread the Word and we should seek God’s guidance when doing so. Love you all!

My husband and I have the same beliefs as you all regarding not celebrating Christmas, fasting, weight, and prayer. We do not attend church either. Personally as a subscriber and Instagram follower for many years, I am grateful for how you evolved as a content creator. I also appreciate when you choose to share your opinions, regardless if I agree or disagree. The videos on health, cleaner lifestyle, personal beliefs and reasons for those choices, helps me see a different perspective. It also helps educate me and it actually influences a lot of my decisions in a positive way. Of course I do my own research but growing up as a Puerto Rican/Jamaican in NYC, my parents did not know a lot of the things you show us so how could I research things I don’t even know exist? I am an ordained pastor and there is a huge difference between religion and spirituality. Having a personal relationship with God is personal. We have two different Christmas’…a few gifts and decorations and we have the birth of Christ. The bottom line is that it is nobodies business but your own. In my sermon today I spoke about Christmas not being an event…but it is the Light that lives within our hearts and it should not stop the day after you. Just be you. God knows your heart and that is all that matters.

Hi Alba, I just found this video I have been following you for a few years now. I'm so happy you and your husband touch base on being skinny isn't always healthy. I have been skinny all my like and I have 3 kids. A few months ago I was diagnosed with being pre-diabetic. When you are thin you believe you are good until you get hit with a health road block. I have lowered by intake of sugary snacks and drinks and eating more fresh veggies. Thank you for putting that out there. Because people think that I have the best life when I struggle with being thin and certain clothes don't always fit properly. Just because I'm skinny doesn't mean that I don't struggle with what all women struggle with I'm no different. Thank you :)

wow, this was great. i appreciate you and what you guys stand for. i can certainly identify with the weight thing; i have really struggled in my 40s trying to find balance and not putting so much emphasis on the numbers (whether that be scale or clothing size). i started reading the bible and that has helped a lot with not only acceptance but self-confidence as well.

I love your transparency and your husband's perspective! I had a similar journey and I loved that you mentioned the difference between health and weight loss. A huge shift in my journey was realizing that I could have a positive body image and be confident at whatever size. I can be happy and healthy at 160 or 180--health numbers can be good and honestly, my focus was more about aesthetics rather than health, and a lot was based on my own fat-phobia that I didn't even realize I had. I worked on my relationship with food and learned how to enjoy exercise and move without the goal of having a smaller body--movement is the goal and it is good for physical and mental health. Lastly, I challenged my negative thoughts about my body and I feel so much more free and happy! Thanks for sharing!

Love this video and the various points made. I just thought I’d add this bit of perspective because Manny mentioned that liquor stores were open when everything shut down. That’s because people already very deeply addicted to alcohol stopping cold turkey are at high risk of things like seizures, brain swelling, and death. There was the very real concern that if liquor stores all closed down at once and people very deep in the throws of alcoholism were all cut off at the same time, there’d be a HUGE wave of a second kind of emergency being people coming in with serious life threatening brain injury from alcohol withdrawal. People addicted to drugs weren’t going to stop seeing their dealers; the people selling crack likely weren’t closed down. So in effort to avoid creating a second nationwide health crisis for alcoholics, the decision was made to keep liquor stores open. Obviously I’m not saying alcoholism is good or anything like that, I’m just providing additional context for why liquor stores were decided as “essential” and allowed to stay open. Love you guys and I appreciate your choice to share with us in this way.

Alba, you guys are amazing and I see myself and my husband in you guys. We actually saw you looking for a place in our building in Englewood (the Vivian) when we were living there temporarily. We have three kids and I was injured neurologically almost 4 years ago due to dirty air quality in my office. Fast forward to 2020, I knew the deal because I had done so much research on my injury and learning how the brain and immune system works. Fast forward to 2022, we were forced to sell our home in NJ due to my husband being fired from his 17 year career in nyc because he didn’t comply with certain things that they wanted him to put in his body. We gave everything up and loved to Florida on August 2022 and it was the best decision we have made. We aren’t working yet, but we’re happy, healthy and free. Welcome to the free state of Florida! (FYI: schools are better…we’re in Palm Beach County). 😊

A book that changed my life was Excitotoxins: The taste that kills by Russell L. Blaylock, MD. As a medical social worker, I had a cancer patient who every week when we meet for our session he would talk non-stop about this. He was loud and voicetraous about this topic, a few times security was called because he would's leave and would recite passages of this book during the waiting area. In an attempt to get him to calm down, our weekly session became reading book club just to get it calm down and in turn, it changed me. Also, I had another patient who was a microbiologist researcher who said it you want to prevent the autoimmune condition, and she considered autism an autoimmune due to a nutritional deficiency to increase probiotics in particular Lactobacillales stains.

Powerful video! Manny explained everything so clearly I literally understood and things I have trouble explaining were made clear. Accountability and do what works for you not what everybody else is doing. I remind myself daily look inward not outward. Thank you both. I have been around watching you for years. What I do when I get on RU-vid as soon as my home page comes up I click on my subscriptions and view from there.

I am an old subscriber who has returned. I was around when you were SunKissedAlba. One of the last videos that I watched was when you recently got married and was buying water from some company. I have learned more about you in this video than I have ever known about you in all of my previous years of watching your channel. I don't remember why I unsubscribed. You popped up on my feed two days ago and I was like, "Wow! She changed her name! Kudos to her. She is really committed to her marriage. As someone who has been married to the same man for the past 21 years, that spoke volumes to me. You have really blossomed like a rose. Continue to seek the Lord's face and you will find him. All of the answers to your questions are in the Bible, the King James. I play a game with my children where we look up a theme for ex. marriage and read all of the scriptures that has to do with that subject. We have learned a lot. Remember scripture explains scriptures and like your hubby said there are no coincidences. PS. We don't go to church and do not celebrate birthdays or holidays. No, we are not Jehovah Witnesses. We do things intentionally not just to follow the crowd. Question everything!

I been watching your for years I had another channel at the time but from when you used to go live on I think it was YouNow or something. While I don't live a similar health lifestyle to yours I take bits and pieces of what you say and apply it. My respect for you both has gone up by like 100,000%. I've always admired you both for all that you've done and sacrificed for Manny Jr. but this video really took it up a notch. 🙂I'm leaving my .02 not necessarily thinking anyone will really read it but here we go. Surprisingly, for me body positivity has been exactly what Manny just said. I believe the message has been co-opted. FOR ME it has never been be bigger and ignore health issues. It has always been love yourself and your body at all points of your journey. It does nothing for your health to hate the body you live in especially when there are factors that no one but you might know about because even your doctor might not know or be helpful. As women, hormones fluctuate constantly and the littlest of stress could send you on a tail spin. It's just about loving yourself in every way along the way. If you are healthy and comfortable, so be it. If you want to lose weight for yourself, so be it. Always take care of yourself and make sure that your health is where it should be and be proactive. Do it with love and grace. No one has the right to comment on anyone's body. Live your life as you will and let others live theirs. That's all.

You probably don’t even need to hear it from me, but you look amazing right now! You’re skin is glowing, your hair is literally perfection and your body is banging!!! I’ve been on a weight gain journey for a year, since having my daughter and I’ve had family members telling me I look unhealthy and tired. I’ve decided to focus on my family and myself. I train regularly as it helps me with my mental health! But I’m happy with my body and if I do gain weight, I’ll be happy too as long as it is healthy weight (muscles and good fat). I’ve been following you for over a decade and I can say I’m loving the authenticity of your channel and I’m happy to have watch your videos before becoming a mother ❤️
