I’m sorry but Angela bassets , “I am queen of the most powerful nation in the world, and my entire family is gone!” This deserved a Oscar on top of the “Have I not given everything.” She literally gave everything for an Oscar there’s no point of getting one now .
@@colinzink6487 that’s facts although I think Bassett’s performance was almost bigger then just a movie because of Chadwick’s passing and the way she led so fiercely I really wanted it to be her. Not mad at all about Michelle Yeoh tho she was phenomenal.
@@Daily_Joe It’s challenging when it comes to things like this. In my eyes especially as a guy who is a fan of horror, I don’t think a little gold statue defines their success but rather the mark that they made in the films that the actors played in. Think of ‘It’s a wonderful life’ or ‘goodwill hunting.’ Sure some of those actors won Oscars but they are recognized for the roles they played. Oscar’s is more about that validation more than anything else. And a distraction from reality but that is a lesson for elsewhere.

The fate of my future, my life… should not be judged and determined on 30 seconds of 33 years. Especially considering the context and circumstances that preceded those 30 seconds… life’s not fair, I know this better than most. But don’t i deserve a second chance to correct the only mistake I’ve ever made? It’s not like I have a history of repeating offending behavior. Only a repeating behavior of standing up for myself and what’s right… against those who truly were and are in the wrong. I’m not a career criminal… I don’t have a long rap sheet… I only ever exercised the rights I thought I had to begin with. Only to see past that illusion after criminal activity was done unto me by those responsible for upholding the law and respecting the peoples rights… Was the illusion of my “assault” with a empty paintball gun and air rifle… was those 30 seconds after the violations and crimes against me in DC (not to mention forced psychological meditation which can have the complete opposite effects it’s intended for to manifest is certain people)… is that justification to strip me of any meaningful value, purpose, or future worth living for? If people treat others like a criminal, they tend to become the very thing that’s projected unto them. For many reasons besides that…
