I’m seeing a huge negative response to this video and I’m sorry if you are one of the people that is being rubbed the wrong way. In my mind the majority of you knew that it was always the plan for Morgan to live with us while she found her footing in LA. Of course the initial conversation the three of us had about now being the time was off camera and Morgan was aware of the conversation we were going to have when the camera was rolling. Lately I’ve been trying more reality style videos on this channel and we all thought it was an interesting conversation to showcase, setting my sister and I up to make videos around her move while adjusting and making a life in LA. We coordinated our uploads today- on her channel she spent 24 hours in the apartment she’ll be living in which further shows that she was aware and okay with the videos we were making. I love this video and I stand by making it but I understand out of context you might feel as though I was over stepping boundaries. Just know that Morgan, Shane and I are very close and no one was blindsided or hurt by the making of this video rather we all enjoyed it.

For everyone freaking out: Shane just explained the video on his Twitter. Morgan had been wanting to move out for a while, Shane thought of the video idea, and everyone was in on it. It’s not what it seems.

We talked about the video before hand but none of it was scripted which is why it's awkward. Morgan wasn't going to cry, she just doesn't like being serious in videos so she didn't know how to respond because she didn't want to seem fake or scripted. i wasn't mad at ryland, i was trying to be funny and i didn't want the video to get too serious so i made jokes. morgan is free to stay at my house as long as she wants. but i also know she's ready to move out so i thought it would make a good series on rylands channel if they documented this journey. this was kind of the 'pilot' for that. and i knew morgan wanted to do moving/redecorating vlogs so i thought now was the perfect time. it might be my fault for leaning too much into the "reality show" format. i love rylands channel because i can try new things and he's always down to experiment. him and morgan love watching keeping up with the kardashians so i thought it would be fun if they tried their own version on his channel. something real but also based on their brother/sister drama. i felt like people haven't fully seen their dynamic as siblings so i thought it would be cool to see that. clearly it came across the wrong way, and i feel bad that i encouraged it. We are 100% real people but sometimes we tend to amp up our characters for entertainment and the line gets blurred. we all love each other so fucking much it's insane so no, there's no issues and we all literally didn't think twice about getting backlash. and yes i will take a shower soon i'm sorry.'

i'm really not understanding the hate.. i personally think it was so sweet of ryland to step up as a big brother & try to prepare his sister for the real world. i completely relate to morgan when she was saying how if she's not basically forced to go out & socialize she won't, i'm the same exact way. ryland has her best interests at heart & doesn't want her to become complacent & stagnant. he wants to see his sister grow, progress, & be more independent as well as make some friends outside of their current squad. like i said, i relate to this & i wish that i had someone in my life like ryland that (lovingly) pushes me to be better, because most of the time i don't have that motivation & sometimes a little push can make a difference, & also i might not put the effort into changing it if i don't even see a problem & no one around me speaks up. people are acting like he just kicked her out & told her go fend for herself. he (& shane) offered that apartment, he's doing this at a time that he knows morgan is making enough money to live comfortably so she's not struggling, & he even said that if it doesn't work out she can always come back. i mean, what a sweet deal wouldn't you say?! sorry this was so long, i just had to rant after seeing some ignorant comments. ryland is a great big brother & this was the right thing to do in my opinion.

I am a Morgan. Antisocial, stays in my room as much as possible, often settles for 'good enough' so I don't have to branch out and take chances, and as that type of person, I would love to have a Ryland in my life. I think it's incredibly sweet he knows her so well and takes her personality into account to not kick her out, but get established. He is helping her start her own life. Why is he getting hate for wanting her to move out of her brother and his boyfriend's house and become the best person she can be??

I think people are so hurt by this because they see themselves as Morgan. Most of us at Morgan's age have heard the same thing: Move out, you're too old, get a life, when will YOUR life begin? But the difference is, we're not Morgan. We don't have a successful RU-vid channel and family members with money. We CAN'T afford to move out even though the adults in our lives are saying that's what socially acceptable. We DON'T have anyone or anywhere to fall back on. We're defensive of the Morgan in us. A lot of young people preach that staying home at an older age these days is okay, because it is. The economy doesn't allow for young Americans to just get a job and survive on our own. It just doesn't work and it's nothing WE'RE doing wrong. Morgan is being pushed and she's comfortable with it because her life has her set to succeed. She's okay with it, but a lot of people identify with her so they're quick to say that THEY wouldn't like to be "kicked out" so therefore doing so to Morgan is wrong. It's okay to identify with her, but please understand that she's going to be okay and that even though she's relatable, this conversation probably settles with her differently because her life IS different.

I just started the video. I'm 2 minutes in. No ones opinion matters. Only yours. I went through a situation with my younger sister. After 4 years I kicked her out. I tried to help her mentally, emotionally, and physically. She didn't want to be helped. She wanted to be taken care of like a boy friend would do. I should have put a stop to it after the first year.Anyway, it's done and it needed to happen. No one knows your experience. So there's going to be judgmental dummies.
