That is awesome ...Is this a Permanent location for you guys ?? It's been along time since I lived in North Western Canadian / USA side..almost 30 yrs now..wow, time flies. 2:43...I have a buddy who taps his Ontario Birch forest, and sells it at the farmers market... It is not a common treat here, compared to Maple syrup. It takes 25 gallons of birch sap to make 1 quart/litre of birch syrup. So you can expect about a quart of syrup from each mature birch tree that you tap over the 3 to 4 week season. You will want to type at least four trees for a gallon of birch syrup. Gather your sap every day during the 3 to 4 week season. 3:26..I've seen lots of small acre preppers & city preppers, on 1/4 to 1/2 acre yards, and they produce food like crazy...using vertical gardening techniques. It's really inspiring , and got me to start a vertical garden as well.. You can do it, I'm so happy for you guys. 3:40...Again, your amazing...I hope as you check out the community , you hook up with the Traditional natives of the area..and share some of their survival (prepping) ways....that would be a real treat to see.. 4:07 ...Smart MommaPrepper...Security move = NO HOME TOURs ...well done, you have nothing to be *_SORRY_* about . 🤩👍 I am hoping that you will have a meet up with other Alaskan Preppers...that would be awesome.

Very smart to not do a full home tour. I understand how fun it is for viewers to see things, just like how fun it is to see online open houses/house tours for real estate, but in the grand scheme it's just safer not to. (I saw some things in home listings that really shouldn't have been put "out there" as well. My hope was that the folks had vacated after the listing agent posted those pics, especially since some were clearly preps. 😬) As always, very excited to see what is to come in this new adventure. So many things cross over no matter where we all live and roam, but I loved AK when I was there and look forward to seeing your AK-specific videos too! (Especially that future greenhouse! Eeeeee! 🤩)

Awesome for you! It's amazing how much you can do with one acre. I have a smaller lot than that but have been reading up on small homesteads and it has been encouraging! Also my friend who lived in Germany always says this - Es gibt kein schlechtes Wetter, nur schlechte Kleidung - There is no bad weather, just bad clothing. A mantra for many Germans.

Well, there's been a recent death with a RU-vid Podcaster that was stalked and then brutally killed including her husband I hope people are more cautious and understand there are bad people out there that actually enjoy learning everything they can about someone and stalking the person and sometimes take it to that next lvl and you have to think about more then just yourself and it's good to see more people taking extra steps to be cautious about your location and even markers people could find on Google.
@RoguePreparedness

It’s unfortunate, but there’s bad people out there. All gotta do what’s best for us. 🙌

@@RoguePreparedness looking at places from Eagle River to Wasilla. Playing the real estate rat race right now- what a mess. Was going to take the easy way up and jump on the ferry at Bellingham and ride it all the way to Whittier. AMHS canceled that route this year at the last moment, so now we are driving the alcan! Gotta love moving..lol

I think the no home tour is a wise idea. When your filming they will see snippets of your home and that’s enough. You can do a lot with an acre. Good luck, looking forward to the video.

How beautiful and exciting! Your girls are adorable. Whatever Kid Rogue does, Baby Rogue does. I see the wisdom of not showing the world what your house looks like on the inside and outside. I have gotten to see your big beautiful refrigerator, and that was really enough for me. It made me happy to see it.

Someone from Canada came to work down on Long Island , NY and he used to say there is no such thing as bad weather, there is only bad dressing properly for the weather. Others from colder countries always comment why we hibernate in the winter when there is so much to do in colder weather.

Can you get into prices an pricing of moving, what an acre of land with a home in Alaska costs? Maybe with a video about the topic? As I live in KY at the moment, and have been debating moving to Alaska. So I would love to hear a discussion about what it costs to move that far north. Living that far north with the issue of importing supplies via trucks for winter, an land purchasing costs, etc. Just any info you feel like sharing on costs to move that far north and live that far north.

The page says 0 Comments. I also tried to edit my previous post but was unable to. Something is amiss. I originally heard the quote around 2006. I've tried to find the author but am unable to. It was pass on by someone who didn't know who said it first. It makes me think the person originally never wrote this but simply vocalized it, saying it for the reason of people spending time in the outdoors that complain about the conditions. It's a perfect assessment.

I think your showing too much already. But that's where I'm at in life. I got a offer letter to work on a remote island in the Atlantic. I'm in a constant struggle to figure out what God wants me to do. Currently broke down in Minnesota. Should be easy fix. Using my winter preps. Minus 1 last two nights. I have cash set aside for this. I'm walking 5 miles everyday. Not really considering this SHTF. Just an inconvenience. I'm just imagining if this got real. I only know most of my surroundings. Yet I know no one.
