State media only exist for communist dictatorships. If that broadcasting company is actually any good, they would be able to stand on their own without government money.
Why on earth are Media companies supported by Tax dollars. That is totally counterproductive!!!!!!! Do you think you get the Truth for your dollars. LOL
I agree…get rid of it and invest in hospitals and schools.a very small percentage of Canadians watch or listen to CBC due to its left leaning liberal bias.
@@JeanPaillard-to1hx Not all of us can do that. Since you seem so educated, deduce what stream of revenue could create that much income. Think before you type.
Trudeau has exacerbated the problem by increasing the Family Unification quotas and letting too many foreign seniors in. The countries these people came from and paid their taxes are just too happy to send them over to take care of their medical needs. Our medical infrastructure are stretched to the limit as it is and I have always wondered why no one raises this point, fear of being labeled as a 'racist', maybe?
@carolinespence15 - Congratulations! Spoken just like a real ignorant fascist. Cross the border and move south, you'll fit right in with the MAGA gang.
Drive across northern BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba and after listening to CBC when it is available and you will be treated to some of the worst dribble possible with 5 to 6 associate producers, technical assistants etc. for every 1/2 hour broadcast and ask if it is worth a billion plus tax dollars. It may however explain suicide rates among northern remote communities.
GREAT VIDEO! KEEP MAKING VIDEOS LIKE THIS - I WILL SHARE THEM! MAYBE MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT HOW THE GOV.T SPENDS MONEY ON THE CBC INSTEAD OF ALLOCATING THAT MONEY TO THE SICK KIDS' HOSPITAL. I RECENTLY HEARD THAT A DR. FROM SICK KIDS' HOSPITAL IN TORONTO SAID THEY ARE STRUGGLING AND THAT A CHILD WILL PROBABLY DIE B/C OF THE LACK OF FUNDING. thanks :)
I used to be a person that supported an ongoing CBC. Tradition was the reason. I grew up with the CBC. It gave so much. Kids shows when I was a kid. Great Canadian shows like the Beachcombers and Danger Bay. Great documentaries as well. But then it all changed. As mentioned here the budgets are out of control. The cost can't be justified. The other thing I came to see started when I found a copy of Canada, a people's History in a second hand store. By that time I no longer paid for cable TV and had missed the series. I was thrilled to find it as I had missed out on that show and being a hobby Canadian historian I wanted to see the history I had read so much of brought to life. But I noticed as I watched that our history had been edited in CBC production. Little things that changed the truth. Historical characters being removed to reshape the massage. No mistake. The names were gone and the stories favoured the wrong outcome. Huge disappointment. I never did finish that show. I started to rethink the CBC and it's motives. Come 2019 and what has been spewed to the Canadian public who still watch the Canadian mainstream news was horrifying. Non stop misinformation coercing people into believing a message rooted in politics and not science. Full on lies by reporters. More memories prompted by the CBC. Memories of watching Soviet era news reports as a kid. Now, I signed the petition. Trying to believe the CBC or Global news or the CTV news is worth saving is like believing a relative who died 20 years ago is worth trying to revive. The old media in Canada is dead. The money is spent to maintain propaganda channels for an increasingly harmful government institution. Don't get me wrong, I'll miss the CBC. But it will be the CBC that gave me Mr. Dressup, The Friendly Giant and Nick Adonidas. I will mourn the passing like I mourned my relatives and friends that have gone. But I will move on.
@@WTFyousayingboy123 "Nice try" = expecting Justine Castreau to ever face any accountability never mind any consequences, for any of the crimes against humanity he's committed. No "Nuremberg II" for that POS or any or the rest of them!
What’s $1.2 billion here or there? If we get rid of the CBC who’s going to constantly tell us about how systemically racist Canada is? Who’s going to warn us about the foreign-funded extremist freedom convoy? I need the CBC to tell me what to think and to help me feel like I’m a good person. Please don’t take that from me!
I do. I watch to see what Justin's about to do. The PMO/Katie Telford calls up the CBC, the CBC airs the propaganda then Justin goes "ah ah, look, even the CBC said it". Its called "circular reporting" and its been going on since project Mockingbird.
Unfortunately, there is no news media outlet that is government funded that can afford to even slightly question its boss. I think all media should be funded, or none of them. The CBC is like the neighbor drawing welfare, even though he can work, but chooses not to. And, the Canadian taxpayers fund this government media. And not by choice.
@@kenrogers1282 now i will not defend CBC at all, but, man your comment is literally just, "remember the good ole days of my nostalgia". the media is far more sensationalist now, because of the move to a 24/7 news cycle. there's this prevailing requirement to get the story out ASAP instead of waiting for facts. news in the past was simply slower to get out, and therefore had time to actually get the story. 30 years ago to get the news you were waiting for a certain hour on tv, or for the newspaper to get out. maybe it popped up on the radio for a segment. now a days every little thing is bombarded with 20 internet articles about it, within an hour of it occurring, before any facts are confirmed.
We need an opposition media network to get our complaints out to the Canadian public. But the conservative party does not want to hear about this thought.
And allowing Rosemarie Barton to continue eviscerating weight scales, storing deserts in her 3 chins while keeping elevator mechanics employed no matter where she goes.
How about getting rid of the Ridiculous Salaries & Bonuses, etc. ! However, it does needva Complete OVERHAUL. Thank-you for your Excellent Journalism ! "Vive le Canada" !
After we get rid of the CBC, can we do something about holding Canada Post accountable for their crappy and bloated service. ICBC needs to have competition as well
