The fact that so many people didn't realize you'd left Buzzfeed just points to how the quality of your videos hasn't budged an inch, even after all the insane stress you guys have been under. It breaks my heart to see how gruelling this has been for such wonderful people, but congratulations! We collectively promise to love and support you, to have and to hold, etc.
How was he the richest before? Jenna Marbles has a net worth of like 8 million and has many more subs than these guys and she doesn’t have to share the money from the views or pay a crew. I don’t think they actually make enough money for him to be a millionaire.
This video was genius. 'Cause now I want to watch every video they put out, even if it's not something I'd normally watch, so that Ned can feed his baby.
Who else didn't know they weren't with buzzfeed? I thought this channel was just still one of buzzfeed's. This is great. So so so so so so so so so PROUD!!!!
Darrel Luna nope. They are fully independent from buzzfeed. That's why they said in the video one they they learned quickly was how different it is not to have that support from a large company it's just them now.
claire d I’m sure they had discussions with buzzfeed about that, a few of their other videos have clips from older buzzfeed stuff which makes me think they somehow got the rights to it? Or something? Also Saf left by herself- the other Ladylike ladies stayed with buzzfeed.
I appreciate how transparent they are about the highs and lows of breaking away from a huge company and making their own company. I love that they aren’t sugar coating all of this and that they just jumped right into this amazing journey in hopes that it would work out and they are doing amazing I’m so proud of them
my biggest fear was always that you guys would leave buzzfeed, now i couldn’t be happier. i always thought if you left buzzfeed, that would be the end of the try guys. i am so beyond happy you guys are doing so successful on your own. i can’t wait to see what’s coming for you guys. i love you all so much. ride together, try together, try guys for life❤️
They could do a whole new channel! Get the costumes right and do an episode every week/month. For some reason, I keep flashing to a 2010's version of "Leave it to Beaver". I'd give good money to see Keith in a June Cleaver outfit in the kitchen, explaining to the Beave about the birds and bees. Daddy Ned coming home and lecturing Eugene about drinking and casual sex. *sigh*
I think the most amazing thing about this is that their friendship sustained all this time. There were many times where their friendship was tested and bent, and most friends would probably get fed up each other. They have four very different personalities and somehow, they made this work. They thrived and they started their own little series within buzzfeed (well, not so little), and soon enough, together they started a company and each put in so much effort and they collaborated so well. Props to you guys and I hope your channel enjoys great success. You deserve it
For some reason when you guys were on BF i always thought you were "put together" by them (kinda like how they put groups together on singing competitions etc), but finally realising that you guys are actually best friends striking out on your own makes this so sweet. Wishing you all the best of luck on this journey!
They kinda were 'put together' they've talked about how they were the only ones who'd do it, but after a few years of being the Try Guys and making all the crazy videos and experiencing new things together must have bonded them all. :)
I think there are some things you can't experience together without becoming best friends afterwards xD I mean they did so many crazy things together. I am so happy to see them starting their own thing
Yeah but they already had massive recognition from Buzzfeed whereas Jake had little recognition from dead vine. P.S. - I hate Jake Paul, so don't attack me.
지국 yeah dont they have to still be working with buzzfeed to even be able to still use The Try Guys name? As far as ive seen in the other "why i left buzzfeed", they basically own all of the content you make while part of them. There's no way these dudes are totally separate unless there was something they did legally to use the name and format.
Angelina Science I think they bought the Try Guys name. That was the impression I got from the channel trailer. I just think they know it's important to keep positive connections in their industry
I think that’s why they had to spend so much. Think of it, about 100k to make an amateur studio in their own house? I’m guessing a large part of that money is buying the try guys name
“Why We Started Our Own Company?” Because Buzzfeed is a terrible company and hold you in a contract, with strings so tight that any creative freedom is stripes from you. Congratulations on leaving them, it’s better this way.
Just the most Iconic meme i dont think they are assuming. Most people that leave buzzfeed say that The main reason they left is because they dont get to do anything on their own, like side projects and stuff
Milagros Lavorgnia ik I watched the video but it doesn't mean it necessarily mean what your saying. The wanted try something new It does mean they striped them of their creative thoughts.
I didn't know the new channel isn't connected to Buzzfeed, but daaaayum it's way better. And I love that they don't have the overhead they had at Buzzfeed.
Just wanted to let you guys know two things: 1) we appreciate everything that you do and 2) that is NOT an office, have Mr Kate come over and help you decorate!!
This is so sad to watch.. after everything Ned had to deal with from having a new born, starting a business to buying a house, all of it just went out of the window. This video made me cry, I felt like Ned changed too much after all of the success they have.
So when I first found the try guys I didn’t realize that they were once at Buzzfeed and when I went back and looked at the old videos on Buzzfeed’s channel, I definitely see a difference in the quality of the videos. The try guys independent videos are just so much better. They’re more personal, funnier, and just better quality 💚
It’s even crazier as a person who’s been watching them since their buzzfeed days to remember videos you used to watch then going back and realizing how rushed and choppy they are. Especially the drag video.
Didn't even realize it wasn't a BuzzFeed channel when I subscribed. I'm so excited! Also, Eugene, for god's sake get some sleep. Ned's supposed to be the one not sleeping.
So weird how this is obviously such a big deal for you guys starting your own company but I literally didn't even noticd I just kept clicking videos with your faces in the thumbnail tbh
I think the only ones left who are still pulling cash for them are Steven and Andrew (Worth It), Ryan and Shane (Buzzfeed Unsolved), and Ladylike. If they eventually leave as well, Buzzfeed will collapse.
Michelle Dai I agree with you 100% those people are all that buzzfeed has left to keep pulling viewers back in. I'm glad that the try guys are still together and creating content
I was here since the start. I remember being stunned seeing the trailer video. Now they have 8.02 million subscribers and I am very proud of them, despite the drama.
I appreciate this title. It’s basically “why we left BuzzFeed” but much more mature. We love and support you guys so much and you’re definitely gonna be a success!
Yesterday they hit 5 million subs. Watching this now, seeing all their worries and how hard they've worked... God, I'm so proud of them. I hope that 2019 brings nothing but happiness for both us and them ❤
6.63 million right now and i hope they keep growing!! i’m getting some try guy merch (along w more pewdiepie merch lol) for christmas and i’m so excited to support them!!!!!💓
This is truly heartbreaking to watch for me. I always thought that the Try Guys were untouchable because, for me, they are one of the best content creators. They built this company as a four person but one decided to throw everything away for lust, so disappointing. Nevertheless, I will continue supporting Keith, Zach and Eugene 💙💚💜 Sending love to you guys.
Except they didn't actually leave Buzzfeed. Buzzfeed still owns the rights to The Try Guys and are still up to their shady business practices. Look around at any article on this and they get more into detail, but this is pretty much a move by Buzzfeed to not look like the bad guy anymore. It's garbage.
BuzzFeed no longer owns the rights to the Try Guys, the guys bought those rights, but I assume in order to do so, BuzzFeed negotiated to still be their ad partner. The guys no longer work for BuzzFeed, they left the company, but they're still in a partnership with BuzzFeed, which I assume they will terminate eventually when they are able. BuzzFeed is shady for sure regardless though.
I thought this was another Buzfeed channel so I avoided this for a long time even though I loved the videos on Buzfeed I was just tired of all the different channels, but I was wrong! I'm glad you guys had this as the introductory video. I'll definitely support as much as I can!
themonsterfrombird box legit came here to comment that aha - looking at what people said at the beginning of January about how good 2020 was gonna be is like 👀
