Wei is one of the most knowledgable watch journalists out there. He got to a point where he’s able to add more value to the brands when he opens his mouth than their actual CEOs. Also, he’s incredibly humble and no BS sort of guy. We love you Wei. Keep it up.
I'd say Piaget has, with this watch, made the first properly nice mens watch apart from the the brilliant, but more dressy, 900P. It does away with the main weakness of the Piaget Polo line, which was the dial. Also that bracelet does not work for me. I've never understood why we're supposed to treat the Polo as an integrated bracelet watch. It's just a watch with a not-so-handsome bracelet, so ditch it and get it on a strap.
Same here, I do not see how this can be called an integrated bracelet. If a watch can be put on a generic leather or nato strap, it does not have an integrated bracelet. Therefore the Polo should not be compared to the Nautilus, it should be compared to the Aquanaut (in terms of design), the latter of which has regular lugs.
I quite like this but not the base/original Polo S. I think the original looks too much like a Nautilus knock-off whereas this has its own design language.
2mins at the start talking about Integrated bracelet - "jump in the pool...". This has 30m water resistance. No pool! This is not a "sports watch" as you claim.
I'm going to need to unsubscribe from this channel. Every watch Wei talks about I find myself really wanting, and this free subscription to his channel is going to end up costing me a lot of money, and probably my marriage. But in all seriousness, Wei, I love watching your commentary. Recently picked up a Cartier tank, and have been watching all of your various Cartier videos. Can't get enough.
