My grandfather fought at Stalingrad… came home Siberia in 1954.. he never said anything about this!? German soldier was highly trained.. trying to stop Soviet communist take over of Western Europe.
Shortly after WW2 General George Patton told reporters that the United States had fought the WRONG enemy. He ended up being killed in a car "accident."
Total Bullshit my dad who's now dead for about 24 years was with the Waffen SS and he never told me about this yes he was half a German and did volenteer for the Wiking brigade and just returned home after the war other wise i would not have been born. The Russians lied a lot over what happened in the war on the eastern front the Russians are still telling lies over everyting what happens in Ukrain.
Shut up !! It it’s sooooo true There was a round the clock sex worker , they had heated hot tub not many had food but they pulled out all the stops for these bois , no food shortages for these bad boi gunners They complained that the Wi-Fi dropped out tho , But they had the latest plasma rifles They all won and are all still alive to this day !! How can you imply that this is not correct. I’m absolutely shocked that you wouldn’t believe it because it doesn’t sound like bullshit at all is it? lol 😂
AI generated images, AI generated story, AI generated voice. Dude put 0 effort in the making of this video, he's spreading crap and we are watching it. Don't give people like this a cent! Don't watch their videos!
I know!!! I was just thinkin that same damn thing! Haha! It’s kinda hard to trust a RU-vidrs content period especially if they can’t even post historically inaccurate pics and videos
Well honestly they are getting better. You can clearly see something that has to look like an M2 Browning, as well as a Hotchkiss I thought. But then again it's still AI
It even unthinkable that Germany would abandoned their Machine Gunner like that. Considering that Germany is the country that relies on Machine Gun the most in their infantry tactic.
What a lie, I don't even think Koreans would have done that. I talked to a German ww2 vet years ago (tourist). He said if he knew the Americans had food he would have surrenderd weeks before he did.
its a myth originated in WW1. Germans used strings to carry their heavy MGs. Canadian soldiers missinterpreted those strings as chains. In the same way you could argue british officers where also chained to their guns since they used lanyards for their pistols.
when in the post-war period the Germans destroyed everything, the Soviet Union kept and still keeps documents and reports captured by the Red Army, where there are such horrors that it’s scary to write and talk about! and I understand you, it’s hard to accept this, especially after defeat!!!🤧
Except lack of mechanized logistics Oh, and if they had the nuke, it would have been the end of the world Imagine if soviets had the nuke, and then the nazis had their own nuke. Somehow, I don't think a cold war arms race between nazis and soviets would last very long - one side would hit the launch button, bombs away because "one side is destined to dominate the world" as is written in both their socialist dogmas. So much for the autobahn and civilization. ;D You should thank god the americans had nukes instead - maybe not so much these days, but we can't apply the present to the past, just like we can't apply the past to the present.
Fake.. it's a popular myth that German machine gunners were left behind in bunkers and fortifications along the Eastern Front, often with orders to hold out until they were killed or captured, as a desperate last-ditch effort to slow down the advancing Soviet forces. However, that myth has been largely debunked by historians and military experts. While it is true that the Germans did employ defensive tactics to slow down the Soviet advance, such as deploying strongpoints, pillboxes, and minefields, there is no evidence to suggest that machine gunners were deliberately left behind to be sacrificed. The idea of "die-hard" bunkers being left unmanned may have originated from a few instances where German troops did remain behind to conduct rearguard actions or conduct last-ditch defense of specific locations, but these were not systematic or widespread practices. In reality, German commanders generally followed standard military doctrine and aimed to withdraw their troops in an orderly fashion when faced with overwhelming enemy forces. The Germans were well aware of the Soviet Union's numerical superiority and the futility of sacrificing individual units or soldiers without a clear strategic purpose. Additionally, the German military was organized in a way that allowed for flexible and rapid redeployment of troops, which would have made it difficult for entire units to be left behind without a plan or support. It's worth noting that the Soviet Union did use tactics like massive artillery bombardments and deliberate attacks on fortified positions to break through German lines, which sometimes led to pockets of resistance being left behind. However, this was not a result of German strategy but rather a consequence of the intense combat and chaos of war. In summary, while there may have been isolated instances of German troops remaining behind to conduct rearguard actions or defend specific locations, there is no evidence to support the widespread practice of leaving machine gunners chained in bunkers to hold off the Soviet advance.
@@frodo7287 People look at the regular troops like they're the same as the SS...way different stock. Most of the men were very patriotic guys following a veteran from the last war, who was revitalizing their nation from the brink of being parted out by the rest of europe.
I've heard of a lot of crazy stuff from ww2 and not once has this ever popped up. It's dumb stuff like this that makes determining what did happen more difficult
This is a story recorded in the memoirs of the Soviet commander Rodimtsev and Chuikov, plus one of our subscribers said that his grandfather, a German soldier, knew about it.
This may, or may not have happened in WW2, but it did happen in WW1. My great uncle was a British vickers machinegun operator in WW1, for the whole 4 years. He talked about the Germans doing this to young soldiers, so they had to stay and fight, while the rest of the Germans ran away. When he reached the Geman trenches with his own gun crew, all the German gunners had been shot dead, to stop them firing. Otherwise they would have continued shooting. He thought it very bad that they had all been chained to their heavy gun tripods and felt sad for such young boys to die that way.
How so? Russian also was sending own ppl under German mashine guns without any weapon ,German soldierswere going insane from this killing ppl like ants
Great grandfather was a Hungarian who was in the eastern front. He drove a half track with a mg34 on it. When I went into the Army in 93. He told me he mowed down countless Russians. He would hear their screams during the day at times. It haunted him..
@@AtillaGenghisHuyter mine became an Panzer troop command of the OKH then went onto becoming a senior professor at Panzer school. WW1 and WW2, was a great military strategist, winning several battles

My grandfather was one of those soldiers chained to his machine gun. But, it wasn't for keeping him from running. It was to keep in place from the horrific recoil from the gun. Had he not been chained to the gun, the gun to the floor, he and the weapon would have been thrown back with such force as it would have killed him. The high price booze was correct, he had that. Edit: Yes, OF COURSE IT'S BS. It is absurd. But, did anyone watch the AI generated video? I just took it to another level. I'm adding this because apparently there are those of you out there so outraged about the comment it has your panties in a bunch, tied up, and pulled up into your butt crack. So there.
Most people don’t realize the sheer number of bunkers that were built in such a short period of time. 25,000 plus, bunkers were built during WWll. They contained machine guns to mortars to artillery. The bunkers offered a great deal of protection from enemy rifle & artillery fire. Hitler’s personal bunker, measured 3,000 sq.ft.with red carpeting, art-hangings from Hitler’s grand chambers, equipped with heating, electricity, water. Hitler experienced a sense of impending doom due to the “close-quarters”….
Of course, you don't know this, friend, because the Germans living in Germany haven't heard of gas chambers either; no one knew about Auschwitz completely; there are military people. What to do? Life is like that
Exactly! The Soviets and allies would regularly execute Germans who surrendered. The Soviets and the Americans being the worst. They were guilty of far more atrocities than the Germans ever were. But, the winners write history. Unfortunately, the winners are liars.
You finna chain me in a place with good food, heat, and alcohol and you think I'm gonna fight for yall? Baby, as soon as those Russians pull up, I'm surrendering and ima snitch.
You know that this is a stereotype? Did you watch "enemy at the gates" or other anti-soviet propaganda film? Only 1.5% of all Soviet deserters during WW2 were sentenced to death. Most of the soldiers caught by barrier troops were just sent back to the front or arrested
@dont-sleep haven't seen Enemy at the Gate. But the there were German reports of seeing the NKVD shooting their own soldiers in the back just for not running fast enough and " According to some estimates, Soviet barrier troops may have killed as many as 150,000 of their own men over the course of the war, including some 15,000 during the Battle of Stalingrad. "
@@John451vfr According to German reports? How did the German troops even see NKVD shooting their own soldiers? I really want to know where did you find this information. Barrier troops were placed pretty far away from the battlefield, although they did sometimes participate in battles. What's next, 1 rifle for 3 soldiers? Soviet "meat" assault? Was, you aware Stalin ordered all captured polish officers murdered when the Russians and Germans invaded Poland ?During the battle of Szack on the 28th sept on Stalin's orders he had NKVD kill 22.000 polish military personnel and civilians in the Katyn Massacre. According to polish historians there were many more atrocities committed by NKVD in Poland in1940 are you aware of that fact. Do you think the polish people are making that up during there darkest days just propaganda next you saying the Holocaust was fictional perhaps The ,NKVD systematically killed thousands of polish people they used torture and other methods while they came apon polish villages Did you know British prime minister Winston Churchill became aware what the Russians were doing and told Stalin to stop the massacre of polish military personnel he wanted to use them in the fight against the Germans was you aware of that fact to Did you know the NKVD after the war changed to KGB yeah
Soviet military leaders Chuikov and Rodimtsev described these cases in their memoirs; later we will make a video in more detail about this. But it's true, unfortunately.
Amazing the hatred of anything Russian on these sites. People will believe anything bad about Russia, but deny anything negative about their enemies. Usually with a comment like well they were worse. And by the way I'm not Russian 🇺🇸
@@slavicemperor8279 have you never heard about the genocides made by the Soviets. They used sarin gas against the Germans which is a war crime they also violated the Geneva convention many times during the Russian civil war and WW2 they committed crimes against humanity and genocide against Ukrainians Armenians Belarusians kazaks Uzbeks Azeris Georgians and many other minorities in the USSR
I'm Soviet, never ever heard something like that, although I heard and read a lot. Don't think that fact would be missed by propaganda. That's a fact that retreating Germans chained Finnish snipers dressed in SS uniform while retreating from Leningrad region, there's even a nice kind movie about it called "Kookoo", that's how they called this snipers.
👌 Likely story, bro! Oh, you saw it in a (Soviet) movie, did you? It doesn't even make sense. If you tried chaining me up with a sniper rifle....who do you think is the first person I am shooting? YOU. Your hair-brained stories don't make sense.
My great grandson on my gerbils side, was one of these men. Chained down, only chicken nuggets and a goblet of jack Daniels to see him through the horrors of skippidy.
There are plenty of stories of brave young men willing to fight to the death to protect their fellow soldiers. Can't imagine there would be a need to chain the men in place when so many were willingly sacrificing themselves.
They also had rollercosters that led them to their deaths. Its true! I swear! My great great great grandfathers next door neighbours dog trainers cousins teacher from elementary school actually saw it. So its true!
It really makes me happy that people are finally seeing through fake shit like this. Had it been 3-4 years ago everybody would respond to this like "wait really?"
Along with that, have you even seen the things the soviets did during the war? They would not care at all if German soldiers were in a death trap, if anything they would enjoy the torment.
There’s no side that’s clean in that war…. The Americans had to stop genociding natives and lynching blacks for a minute to come help Britain and France, the main players of the transatlantic slave trade and genociders of the world, who were getting their ass beat by some broke dictatorships that’s fighting another broke dictatorship…
@@MrMarineti did they do anything worse than the transatlantic slave trade? Did they genocide natives of a whole continent and put the survivors in reservations?

Did you know that communist Stalin had 1 special battalion out of every Soviet division with the sole purpose of machine gunning their own Soviet soldiers if they retreated in anyway. Makes being chained to a bunker look like 3 weeks in Vegas. They estimate well over 1 million Soviet soldiers died by their own mp divisions.
Apparently this has no basis in historical fact according to the numerous historical scholars and buffs above . What is true and very well documented is that Hitler refuse to allow his troops on the eastern front to retreat rapidly and reform into cohesive units . By forcing his armies to stand and hold ground at all cost in a different way chained / strapped his men into a static inflexible position which was one of the Wehrmachts strengths against the Soviet numerical superiority . These Germans were circled repeatedly- first at Stalingrad and many times right up to the epic tank battle at Kursk . John Toland , Anthony Beevor and other top notch historians give riveting accounts of possibly millions ( 8 million Germans were killed in WW2 mostly their best men) of these Germans fighting to death in place , forbidden by Furher edicts to retreat and reform . The Russian soldiers were surprised to see many German soldiers standing at their posts frozen to death still standing frozen solid . While this was unsound military strategy - it did temporarily halt the soviet jauggernaut. The 350,000 men left behind at Stalingrad fought like Tigers right up until the end . This did allow Manstien time to reform a large German contingent that launched a remarkable counter attack on the Soviets.
The problem with this story is that the Eastern Front food was unavailable on both the Soviet and Axis sides. While I can believe that the Nazis had booze, I highly doubt anything was comfortable since it was war after all.
AI gone wrong. This is Completely untrue. German machine gunners sitting in their bunkers had a chain in order to still remain in position despite the huge recoil these guns had.
during my apprenticeship, i worked with two guys who served on the eastern front. one was a machine gunner in stalingrad. chaining the gunner to the gun is maybe a one off incident, not common practice. the booze the germans got was usually the vodka in the canteens of the dead russian soldiers
German soldiers were sent over to the MP for leaving their MG behind, because the loss of such weaponry was to avoid at any cost at this point. No way they ever left them behind to fall into enemies hands just to kill some more of them somewhat ineffectively. Also, who brought ammo to the gunner if he is immobile? Tons of questions about this made up story...
I think the eastern axis forces had high quality alcohol and food due to the invasion of France and the pillaging of the towns. Not because of whatever this is
North Korean army during the Korean War employeed the same tactic. 15~16 years old boys from occupied areas of "South" Korea were chained to a pole next to machineguns as a means of delaying UN forces' advance. 😢
Those men chained to machine guns were probably Ost battalion troops. They were forced to fight and they came from Ukraine, Poland, and Belarus. They would often surrender early into a fight because they had no real desire to fight for the Germans. Machine gunners also had the booze and alcohol because they would often go mad from shooting so many men. The booze dulled them.
My grandfather fouight till the end without being chained. He tried to stop the Red Army with a machine gum without any chance to survive. So he could help his comrades escape after heavy defeat.
I thought this was going to be German soldiers with their hands chained to their machine guns so that when they get killed they keep shooting until their out of ammo
Lies. German troops had chained themselves for the purpose of recoil on their guns. They did not tie them for a no retreat. The MF42 fired .50 cal at the highest rate of any gun. Chaining them made sense
