In my opinion, to agree or disagree is not the important thing. But I find the continuous dialogue on this topic is the most significant. In that way, your opinion is an add-on to add or self-introspect mine as an opposite gender.. It helped in that way. Men vs Women is a topic I find has no full stop and need not have.. . It keeps on evolving with time and psyche of the society. Surely some needs to play a Keystone member. Only thing is whether it is taken forward progressively... So I find Women's day is an important 'reminder' for both the genders to move forward closely towards the ideal goals, even if it is not attainable in the immediate future. Happy women's day..
Women not only add but *change* their second name from their fathers name to husbands name. This is because marriage was a transaction between the father of the daughter and the husband. Women were seen as property when marriage was invented (and still treated that way in majority of the world) and this is why they change their name. If you sell your land to me I'll change the lands name to my family name right just like that. Traditional marriages or atleast how they started out are very misogynistic
Women's day is to acknowledge and learn about the oppression that they have faced all throughout time. March is women's history month just like there's black history month and pride month etc. Men's day was started by MRAs that claim that men are more opressed by women (which simply isn't true just look into history and you'll know). It's almost like white people wanting a white history month or straight people saying the same.
