Today I am sharing a quick look (yes, quick....I could spend weeks on this topic) at why I strive to obey as much of the Torah as I can.
Many have asked for my notes from this video. I have turned the notes into a proper article, with printable version. You can get that here:

EDITED TO ADD: I have had many people asking for the text or a copy of my notes. Part of this video was ad-libbed, and before I edited it, this was a 2 hour video. I cut it way down to make it more digestible. :) I will go through the video, update my notes, and publish all of them on my website sometime in the next week, if all goes well. I will post in the community tab and newsletter, etc. when it is available. I will also include what I cut out for brevity. NOTE: Any and all comments are to be respectful, both to me and to others leaving comments. I do not ask anyone to agree with me, you should study for yourselves. I will NOT have religious debates in the comment section. If someone try to start one, I will not engage. I have been studying this topic for years and am well versed and grounded in my faith. Attacks will not change my mind. Play nice or go home 😉

Something just came to me tonight. Some Jews don’t believe in yeshua as the messiah and most Christian’s don’t believe in the Torah! How glorious it would be if we could all come together. It’s a very narrow path. 🙏🏼🙌🏻❤🤠

I have watched a lot of beautiful testimonies of orthodox Jews who came to accept Yeshua as the Messiah. Some of them simply because they finally took the time to read through the New Testament, the part of the Bible they were taught was anti-Sematic and they should not read it. And at the same time we are seeing Christians like ourselves who have been taught that the Old Testament is really not for us finally taking time to read it all and realize the two parts make one whole and it is ALL applicable and teach fully of the one true LORD and Savior.

@@RainCountryHomestead so, what part of the New Testament is antisemitic? God is anti-SIN, so, where there are parts written about there, where the Jews are SINNING, and Christ condemns them for it, it's the SIN He's condemning. He loves all people, even the Jews, after all, He WAS a Jew, right? He isn't now, He's the Son of God, and they don't have Nationalities, nor do they speak Hebrew or wear the garments that Jews typically wear. But we do, to show them who we are being. Doing so won't earn us Salvation, but they are expected of those who follow Christ. Just read James 2 to see that both are required. So, those works, such as keeping the Commands of God and Torah, will also determine our level of reward in His Kingdom, that we can be sure of.
@RainCountryHomestead

@@teresagallegos7388 So true. I want to study the Hebrew Scriptures, as some call the old testament, it was the only Scripture that Messiah and the Prophets had!!! There was no "new testament" when He walked this earth!!! The new testament is commentary on what Messiah did and said. The "church" teaches from the letters written about HIM!!!

All of the Old Testament points to Jesus. We as followers of Christ must study (not just read) the Word, just as you have done here. Great video, great teaching. Keep it up, sister! ❤

I will say, that in keeping Passover (and other feasts), I don't see ANYTHING wrong with honoring and doing some Jewish traditions. Some of those traditions from our Jewish brethren are beautiful and rich and full of meaning. They add to the keeping of the feasts. But, we shouldn't feel pressured to do them, or feel condemned that we aren't doing things "right." It is about honoring the Father and remembering His word.

Even Jesus lived the Torah and he is the New Testament. Mankind has, over the centuries, bent Gods word and laws to comply with their own will. Reading/studying the Torah shows us that the world is not living by the rules and laws given by God. I am so happy that I came across your channel. I had heard about the Torah being translated into English and was interested in getting the English translation. I like that you are reading more than one Bible/scripture. I plan on doing this as well to see the differences in the translations. I just found a huge (family history size) King James Bible and have ordered the complete Jewish Bible. As soon as I can afford it I will get the scriptures version as well. Possibly the Ethiopian Bible as well. There are so many versions it’s almost unsettling. Thank you for your channel!

Even when you tell these people you know it is not our works that save us but we are obedient _because_ of the free gift of salvation that we do not deserve, they still will continue to make accusations and get angry. Not all of them though, I believe many are quietly taking it in and will one day consider all the words of the Father

I grew up in an agnostic household. I never had any real exposure to anti-torah theology. I went to church a few times with my grandparents, and then went to Sunday school briefly, when I was about 8. But, nothing consistent. I started reading the bible when I was still pagan (I actually converted during that first read-through, but before I got to the new testament). It never occurred to me that the old testament shouldn't be followed. I came to realize that I was a "whole bible" Christian and I knew there weren't very many of those around - certainly no churches in my area. One day (not long after my conversion), I decided to try to do yoga and something felt wrong. So, I went on YT and asked if Christians should do yoga. I stumbled upon a gal who was like me... Converted from the new age to - essentially - Hebrew Roots. I was so happy to have a name for what I was! I've read the bible several times and I still haven't found anything that convinced me that the torah should be disregarded. So, I'm still a whole-bible Christian. :)

I agree with you Constance and it has taken me many sleepless nights trying to figure out what was right or wrong because of My desire to please my Father. I was raised that the 613 mitzvah were only for God's chosen people back in the time to follow to prove they were worthy to have been set free. It's those simple justifications as a child that I had been taught that led myself and family astray. I could go into more examples but it isnt necessary and I wanted to say Thank you for sharing and pray that you hold steadfast and strong to your beliefs and understandings! Well Girl you hit the nail on the head and "logically" stated shy a Christian should obey the Torah. Your statement "We are not redeemed through our keeping of the Torah. But we keep the Torah BECAUSE we are redeemed." is spot on. You broke it down extremely well. Hubby and I had the light turn on several years ago and now celebrate weekly Shabbot AND one of our children and her family are following following Torah. I do have a time with the feasts but it will come. The main thing is to know that Yashua, Christ, Jesus filled it, completed it and followed it. Thank you for your work on this. ALSO there is a pastor in MN and their church is called Corner Stone. He has a series on the same subject...Why Christians should follow the Law meaning the Torah. Great series.

Since after college (@40 yrs) I have years of “diaries” where I have written down the scripture used and notes on sermons. If scriptures are listed in the bulletin I find them so I can read along even if it’s up on a screen. Know and listen to G-D first and then only to those true to The Word. Thank you for your explaining and giving supportive scripture. I’ve never understood people dismissing the Torah…it’s from G-D sooo

I have studied the Hebrew Torah and the Greek NT for over 50 years and have found that what most people miss in meaning is that "keeping" is actually memorizing it, (thy word have I hid in my heart[mind] that I might not sin against Thee) So simply put, keeping is not doing. I'd much rather be back on the parents farm but so convenient to have the V.A. only a mile and a half away to get good treatment when i get sick.

You are 100 percent correct in what you are talking about. Many people are not taught the truth. When paganism mixed in with Christianity after the dark ages there was a lot of untruths mixed into Christianity. Yes, you have to read and study and pray for God to show you what's truth and study your Bible. There was only one religion and paganism when Jesus walked this Earth. We must embrace these laws, if we love our Heavenly Father, we will obey him. Great job teaching Constance!

Paul is clear that the believer in Christ is no longer under the Law: “We were held in custody under the Law, locked up until faith should be revealed. So the Law became our guardian to lead us to Christ, that we might be justified by faith. Now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian” (Galatians 3:23-25, BSB). We are not under the Mosaic Law but under “the law of Christ” (see Galatians 6:2).
@CosmopolitanCornbread
@CosmopolitanCornbread 3 дня назад
He also said that our faith doesn't abolish the laws of God, but affirms them. "Does it follow that we abolish Torah by this trusting? Heaven forbid! On the contrary, we confirm Torah." Romans 3:31 Either he is contradicting himself, or our understanding needs to be clarified, particularly because he continued to keep the Torah his entire life.

This is so close to a presentation I wanted to do myself, but my point was the Torah is not the covenant! Your presentation was very well put together, organized, & easy to follow. I was wondering if you have a congregation that you attend or worship with?! I want to fellowship again!! 🌺

I think many believers do not realize their actions in this realm will be judged…. Revelation 20:12-13 12 And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. 13 The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Our works in this realm are to be judged “by the things which are written in the books.” I believe “the books” are those first five books of the Holy Scriptures. The Torah. Just my understanding….

I respect your beliefs, but I'm also coming from a partial preterist viewpoint after reading the works of Josephus, Tacitus and Eusebius and coming to the conclusion that Jesus fulfilled Matthew 24 in that generation, just like he said he would. I didn't come to this decision lightly. In fact, it has taken several years of prayer and a deep continual study into biblical and ancient history. But knowing what I know now about the world and how our history has been re-written/hidden from us, I feel so at peace. We are all entitled to our beliefs and me being a partial preterist does not prevent me from watching and continuing to learn from you. We ALL can learn something from each other. So thank you. ❤Jesus is KING.

The words 'abolish/fulfill' in Hebrew reckoning mean that Messiah came to fulfill -- to "correctly interpret" the Torah. As many translations use the 'english' words incorrectly from the Hebrew understanding. 'Abolishing' the Torah as MIS-interpreting the Scipture which many still do to this very day! Messiah correctly interpreted the Scripture, as HE is the living Torah, the living instructions. What would Messiah do???? He would do all the Torah, since it is the ONLY Scripture that gives us life, teaches us HIS ways, gives us Light to the narrow path. As Messiah said, "why are you sleeping?" Such it is of many today! Pray to have sight, hearing and understanding from a Hebrew perspective so that one can Shema--"hear O' Israel, the L-RD our G-D, the L-RD is one!" Pray to see through Hebrew lenses, to hear with Hebrew ears and to understand through the understanding of the Fathers of our faith: Abraham, Isaac and Jacob! Shalom!

The Torah or Law is contained in the 1st 5 books of the Bible. If anyone says they’re obeying the Torah they must not mean every single law but only certain ones. But how many are enough to be obedient or is it more about following the “spirit” of the Torah which is loving God and others and in doing so you obey the Torah? I can agree with the latter because it lines up with intent of the Torah, loving God and others with their hearts and shown by their behavior. 1 John 3:23: And this is his commandment, that we believe in the name of his Son Jesus Christ and love one another, just as he has commanded us. And this: Romans 13:8-9: Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,”and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: Love your neighbor as yourself.

Hi Constance, I enjoyed your teaching today. While I don't keep the Laws or rules of the Torah. I believe as a born again believer we should keep the ten commandments, including God's Day of rest, Sabbath, b/c Jesus our Messiah never replaced the Sabbath w/Sunday. At least I don't find that in the bible. Now saying that, yes, we are saved by Grace through faith in Jesus Christ, and so when we become born again, it is through faith in Jesus by the power of God's Holy spirit that change has to take place in the believer. So, through the process of growing in our relationship w/Christ one starts bearing fruits. so, If one fornicated, one desires to stop and stops, as well as lying, cheating, stealing, addictions and so on forth. Also, Matthew 5:37-40- Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind.38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets. Jesus didn't come to abolish the law, but to fulfill the law. Also, Romans CHP 8. I am work in progress and trusting God that with His help I can live in such a way that is pleasing to Abba and a that my life more and more can be a testimony and a light to others of me being born again, in Jesus Christ our Mesiah. I always called myself a Christian but now I know I wasn't abiding in Him. It was through a horrible divorce in 2012, followed by breast and lung cancer (completely healed physical, emotionally and spiritually) that, led me to truly come to Christ and be born again. God bless you my dear sister. In His service, Tina/PA

It is believed by most sects of Judaism that the oral tradition was given to Moses on Mount Sinai. The exception would be the Karaite sect who only acknowledge the written Torah. Judaism considers Torah law to be incumbent only upon Jews. The people of the world are only required to follow the 7 laws given to Noah. There was an argument between Paul and Peter over the status of gentiles who became Christians. Peter saw Christianity as a sect of Judaism and wanted converts to follow the Torah. Paul saw Christianity as a new religion and did not want to burden gentiles with following the Torah. As a Jewish convert who used to be a Christian these things are curious to me - as a Jew I think follow the Noahide Laws and be happy, but as a former Christian I see an argument for following the Torah. Jesus followed the Torah. Ultimately I think you have to pray and follow the direction G-d places on your heart. Even the Jewish debate between Orthodox and Karaite, I walk down the middle. The 5 books of Moses do not read like a word for word set of instructions from G-d. It makes more sense to me that Moses received instructions, wrote under inspiration and taught the law to the people orally. On the other hand, I do think fences have been added in the commentary on the oral tradition. The separation of milk and meat is one. Karaites will eat a cheese burger, and so will I. 🤷🏼‍♀️
@CosmopolitanCornbread
@CosmopolitanCornbread Месяц назад
Yes, I have heard that. I hadn't heard of the Karaite sect though. That is interesting. Even though I don't believe in following the oral tradition, I still see Jews as my siblings. I love them deeply and I pray for Israel.
@stillwatersfarm8499
@stillwatersfarm8499 Месяц назад
@@CosmopolitanCornbread❤ Karaite Judaism is really interesting. It is making a resurgence, partially because former Christian converts find it easier to accept the written Torah than the oral. Some of their traditions are difficult too though! For example an actively menstruating woman is not allowed in the synagogue. I get what they are trying to observe, but it doesn’t make sense to me, because in the modern world men are unclean - they sit on public seats that are used by women. Mikveh (ritual bath) and a period of time would be required to enter the Holy Temple. It feels a little pick and choose to me. But I love the spirit of honoring the Torah. We converted Conservative which is not a perfect fit, but is the closest. We focus on the written Torah but are informed by the oral, and we accept a whole lot of grace - we just try to keep learning 😊 Always interesting to see how you apply your scripture studies. ❤
