A triple murder suspect remains in hospital after being found in a cemetery following a manhunt.
Kyle Clifford, 26, was wanted in connection with the crossbow killings of Carol Hunt, 61, wife of BBC 5 Live racing commentator John Hunt, and two of their daughters, Hannah, 28, and Louise, 25.
He was found with injuries in Lavender Hill Cemetery in Enfield, north London, on Wednesday afternoon and was taken to a major trauma centre for treatment.
Police confirmed no shots had been fired by officers and said no arrest had yet been made.
Footage from Sky News appeared to show Clifford being stretchered out of the cemetery by paramedics.
Armed police had earlier swarmed the area, with an air ambulance seen nearby.

Crossbow Field Archer here. I have never hurt a fly with my Crossbow, I shoot 3D targets on an Archery course in the woods. That is what I use a crossbow for. 1000s of other people safely and responsibly shoot their crossbows at Archery Clubs or on private land. Do some research please.

Focusing on crossbows really is ignoring the issue. Crossbows are used in less than half of one percent of all murders - 0.17%. The problem was the psycho ex. Was there something that could have been done to prevent this? If there is, it isn't a crossbow ban.

As a qualified Archery coach, I find it intolerable they go after the crossbow, what we going to do, make them illegal to own? I own crossbows. I've never hurt anyone. There was an idiot earlier who said the crossbow used (a foot loaded crossbow) can be modified to shoot semi automatic... How stupid do you have to be to believe that. Even if you could have some belt feed system, you would still have to use the foot stirrup to pull the string back. A knife is far more dangerous.

That's not the type of crossbow he used. They are significantly less powerful than a foot loaded. Mine is 80-100lbs of pressure. My missus can't even pull the bow string back. That was the type of crossbow used. It would be like saying you can turn a double barrel shotgun semi automatic. How, you still have to break the barrel to load it. Just as you have to foot load the crossbow he used.

This is horrible and very sad but as others have said, stop blaming the object ! Its the person to blame. Every time something awful happens and something is used to hurt or kill do we just outlaw that object ? Im sure there are plenty of responsible crossbow owners out there who may lose them to the nanny state. We need to stop blaming the objects used for this crime and do more to help those in crisis or who are mentally ill. Uh..to hunt food when theres nothing in the supermarket due to some kind of natural disaster / crop failure or electricity grid failure or theres no crude oil / petrol ? to defend your family from random attacks when something unexpected happens and theres too many attackers for the police to respond to everywhere or when another nation invades ? why would anyone do national service if it seems like nobody has any will to fight ? have you thought about asking that ? there were more weapons and dangerous stuff around the place 100 years ago but seemingly less crime ? you seem spoiled if you never think you will have to create your own food.

Its like saying why would anybody have a bow and arrows, what about why would anybody have a suit of medieval armour? Because of personal passions, hobbies, its not necessary but outlawing rather than regulating is a restriction of people's free wills. Its always the person, not the object that is the issue. Id rather trust a crossbow without a user rather than a person without a crossbow. Gun regulations i agree with, if they were classed in that category it would help.

London has banned just about every type of gun. Now I'm sure they will ban crossbows. Goes to show you that having some of the strictest gun control laws in the world isn't the way. It is very possible that if guns weren't banned in the UK, those family members may have been able to fight back. 😢

Typical, 1 person out of the many hundreds of thousands of responsible owners does something bad with a crossbow, so we must now ban crossbows, despite the fact that someone committing a criminal offence (murder in this case) isn't really going to care about the legality of the weapon they use to commit the crime And the news story literally backs this up when we hear about all the stabbings and 2 machete killings, any bladed item over like 3.5 inches or something are banned from being carried in public, didnt stop the stabbers obtaining them and and carrying out atrocities And in fact, any item used in an attack becomes an offensive weapon, be it keys, fork, knife, spoon, chain, tree branch, all offensive weapons when used to attack, so we just ban everything yeah?
