Merina, I guess I was addicted to college so I graduated from Yale, but also attended a small liberal arts college, and two powerhouse state universities. College, grad school, professional school, I loved them all. And I had close friends who told me about all the many great colleges they had attended, like Middlebury, Swarthmore, Reed College, UC Santa Cruz, Cal Arts, on and on. Like my friend Dave who swore his frat had to be the model for Animal House, where they accidentally burned down the oldest building at their very old college. The US is jam packed with great colleges. It’s almost ridiculous how many great choices you have.
Your videos inspire me to study, Yale seems like a more accessible place in your videos, and it really cheer me up to be a better person (personally and academically) for one day, who knows, I got into Yale. Xoxo, kisses from Brazil

I recently saw a list of the happiest colleges in the world and Yale was ranked first. I think I learned more from my classmates than from my classes.We talked about everything under the sun, from perspectives I had never imagined.
Hiiii, I’m a Christian minority too!! (Black) . Okay I do have one question that nobody has been able to answer to my satisfaction lol. How does the academic curriculum work? By that I mean like is it like Harvard where only a certain percentage of people can receive an A. Like is it over competitive and toxic or is it competitive but collaborative? Along with that, I’ve been considering Brown due to the open curriculum and freedom it gives u to explore and not always have to excel at every single class. Is Yale somewhat like that? Or will I be required to take certain classes because I really don’t want to take a science course lol. But yeah basically can you just adress the academics, how rigorous the programs are, the program requirements, the grading scale and gpa, and what the student body is like in terms of toxicity?? Also this is random but I’ve often heard that New Haven is dangerous, what would you say about this? Do you feel safe? Thank you so much!
