Funny you should make this video now, I've recently been forcing myself to not procrastinate and alleviate stress during work using social media and let me tell you, the first couple of days are genuinely physically painful as your brain adjusts from the lack of dopamine hits used to cope with difficult tasks. Awesome video, thanks Sam!
The biggest problem I have is saving money (profits in particular). It’s so easy to find nice things to buy or to gamble money. Is there any strategy to saving?
@@Woke-Fact-checked The strategy is to think about how you could use that money to grow your business and then you don't have to worry about buying nice stuff in the future. So after you have thought of it, you immediately use it for the strategy, so you can't spend it on nice stuff. And if you do: you know you are making a bad choice.
Hey Sam, regarding your last video where you mentioned that you weren't sure how much these weekly videos helped until you stopped doing them for 90 days... These videos are why I purchased Accelerator and now Uplevel a few weeks ago. I never watched your 2KA webinar. I just knew that if you supplied this much value in your free videos, your paid stuff must be insane.
Hello from Los Feliz - Binge Watching TV Ruined My Productivity - so I finally took the TV out of my house tonight! I found the lure of Netflix was too strong after months trying to be discipline I had to take the next step. Now a Buddha sits in its place with list of tasks in its place. Thanks for the excellent videos please keep them coming!
Sam, I'm in awe and shock mode! In 30 minutes, everything explained what a big part of the coaching and self-growth industry is making their money from. Great video. Thank you!
@@jaycalvin3783 exactly. I don't understand why there are some ppl who always try to find negative of things? Atleast we got some quality value from this vid. Thx a lot Sam!
Sam I love that you keep things real. So many influencers out there and I'm glad that you put your customers first. which is why you do so well I believe. Please keep pumping out content. I really am curious when or if you will be writing a book anytime in the future? I feel like your the only influencer I could safely follow.
Thank you so much Sam, you have changed my outlook and indirectly my entire life. I don't know where I would be if I didn't repeatedly watch and learn from all the wisdom you offer in your videos. And thank you for making your content freely accessible and thorough!
Sam, you’re putting purpose behind psychology, purpose behind anatomy, purpose behind physics - with extreme practicality. This is my own journey too and I love and appreciate you for helping to lead the way!
Great message here Sam, as always! I am at a weird point in my journey where I initially loved what I was doing and couldn't get away from work. 3 years and a burnout state later, I am no longer in love with my business and have never felt as lost as I am now.
I love how you break things down so effortlessly. I know it's easy to explain because you went through and learned all of this stuff. I appreciate this information.
Wow! I did just a bit of the exercise and man... I realized that I love problem solving and putting random pieces together to find a solution and “save” the world. Im obsessed with the characters that nobody really believes in to save the day and BAM! They are the only ones that do...I realized this by looking at my favorite childhood books and movies...so thank you Sam 🙏🏾
Most knowledgeable video on knowing yourself. I asked myself what is my favorite movie... only 20min later it hit me! It was so obvious how I structure my life. Thanks, Sam! I appreciate your wisdom immensely!
I’ve spent thousands with you and I feel this is one of the most valued pieces you’ve released, glad it’s free because it’s where I am (not actively engaging the course).
PURE GOLD! Thank you Sam. Every kid should do this as they pass grade to grade and on into college and every time someone is thinking about changing jobs or starting a business. Amazing clarity to what can be a lifetime of wondering and wandering, while seeking our purpose. Definitely helped seal the deal on mine.
You’ve not created anything yet that I’ve not said it was awesome!!! You rock my man!! You’ve changed my life already, several different ways. Wanted to thank you!! Never stop!
I really appreciate this video and is quite obvious the passion you have about the subject. And I cannot disagree with you on anything you said, part of being successful is loving what you do. Yes, you can be successful in something you have no desire on, but you never pass a certain level. I am at a turning point in my life the career that I was involved in made some changes that I do not agree with. I have given myself a certain amount of time before I resign. I know if I find something that I'm more passionate about it would benefit me and my family. I will look into other videos you made even those that are in their accelerated level thanks again.
I’m 53 and now realise my LOVE is ideas, concepts, patterns and imagination. My inner world and how I think and feel is my love. This is an issue because as soon as I go to act the actions seem so petty, futile and annoying because they aren’t ideas and creativity. It explains why I’m ubering 7 days a week. Somehow the structure of Uber allows me to survive whilst I can think, feel and engage with ideas and people. This is a crazy way to live but it’s what’s happened. It’s like my business ideas are women and I’m afraid of commitment. To engage totally with one means I can’t with another!!😊. So, I end up not acting and living a survival mode existence. I’m waking up though and with some inbuilt accountability via others am learning to feel it’s ok to stick with one thing, act on it and there’s enough time to move onto something else. It’s the world in my head that gets the LOVE , Sam talks about which creates a lifelong pattern of moving towards that constantly. All at the expense of getting traction in this life and how we live. Make sense?
Brilliant Sam!! Another video that is a wake up call for me. I've been looking for my purpose for all my life, until now. You just lit up the tunnel of my life. I'm so grateful. Thank you!
Love this! You turned the question on its head about procrastination! And I love the time you took to explore it deeply not just the cliched answer of "do what you love" but how we can do that. And explaining why some of us have problems with consistency. The favourite film though... wow!!
Yes very helpful as always Sam! You ALWAYS bring Value and I am very grateful you take time from your busy schedual to do these videos for us! I hope you LOVE making them too! 😊
You have become my favorite source of information to improve over the last week. I admire the way you go through topics. Please keep uploading videos :)
Great video Sam! Would like to mention a book called “The War of Art” by Steven Pressfield. He really dissects the resistance many of us feel when doing creative work. It’s a really short but great read.
Hey Sam, I think a big thing besides love is 2 things .... one thing being something alex becker has touched a lot on about eating healthy/exercising/sleeping and doing those things ot have a very clear mind that can then focus on who you REALLY are and what you believe in and care about and etc. (and that you can only really poorly do that if you dont have your diet sleep exercise and healthy mind and body habits in order) ...... the second thing is this concept of resistance thats talked about in the book the war of art .. where the author makes the argument that whatever you love you tend to face resistance before going to do it ... and its hard to get started and write that book youve always wanted to or draw the painting youve always wanted to , .. the author believes there is great resistance BECAUSE you love the thing .. so there is overcoming that resistance to working on someething you really love too (i think entreprenuer folk who just endlessly watch videos but never can seem to get started ACTUALLY building a business, fall into this camp) .... but those are some thoughts of mine ..... i thinka side from lvoe too , the few people taht go and do it and creat ea business or build something they dreamed fo and see it through to completion do it because of pain , and because that motivates them and theres no other way out but that path ... something like that .; just some thoughts !! curious what you think.. look forward to future videos -Rafif
@@Eesalitepill99 I've found there was alwasy an initial hump for me to go over where I'm anxious to do the thing and start ... but once I got into the momentum of it and began enjoying it i could really pursue it diligently at that point ! .. haha
That's why I breakdown my work to easier and smaller tasks to bigger and harder tasks. So I won't waste my time working on one task and won't finish a number of tasks every day.
I am Flick from A Bug's Life. The explorer. The entrepreneur. Always finding a way to do things in a better way when the herd is content with the norm and never questions it. Yet he is seen as a goof! Wtf! He summons the courage to leave the island on an adventure while everyone settles. But it was easy for him because he would'nt have it any other way. The books I have read twice are travel books and my money gets spent on plane tickets to other parts of the world. I even left my girlfriend at the time to go on a 2 month trip without her :P. I have to see what else is out there. That would explain my love affair with psychedelics also. It's like travelling but without the plane ticket.
Favorite movie, "The Aviator" Favorite books, "Mastery" by Robert Greene, Richest man in Babylon, money master the game, Positive Mental Attitude by w. Clement stone
Forrest Gump is actually an amazing character to model one's self by. His achievements and influence were all grand and accomplished through a pure heart and intentions. He didn't know any better than to do the right thing the best he could all the time no matter what. I think we all wish we could be more like Forrest.
The Entrepreneur Alchemist is truly back! Thank you for gracing us with your presence, lord Sam! ;) Looking forward to more of your awesome and unparalleled content! More power!
i recommend Atomic habit as a way to get in love with any thing you want... A game changer book, speak with science and real life examples, the book is for any one... even if you are a psychiatric
Alex Stefan... Is not about forcing yourself but is about letting yourself go with it. You start with easy move until your body get used to it, it take time to be able to get in the process, but if you make it as explained in the book you will make it more easy for you.
Alex Stefan actually yes it is possible. You have to see several new connections to the thing you don’t like doing, and how it serves you. For example, if you don’t like waking up early, it’s because you haven’t asked the question, “how does waking up early help me to get what I want in my work, family, wealth, physical health etc” whatever is most important to you. Another way to do this is list 100 to 200 benefits of waking up early. Or ask “why do I love waking up early?”. When you realize enough connections of the behaviour to the things you already love, you’ll do them.
My mind is blown away by your knowledge, Sam. Thank you!

Damn you hit the nail right on the head. That's what I was thinking when I read his comment. He's only doing it for the money or some other reason. I and so many other entrepreneurs actually love going to work on our businesses because it is exciting to build upon your passion and love of what you do. The money will follow if you work hard and travel in the right direction. Like Michael Jordan says, it's not enough to practice, you have to practice the right way, or something like that.
I'm also obsessed with learning. I spend most of my days learning new things. But there are other things that I "know" I'm supposed to be doing, with what I've learned, and with some natural talents - but I am afraid of my own potential. The path is crystal clear, but sometimes I am physically crippled by the fear of the sheer vastness of my vision. I often avoid my vision board... how do you deal with the fear of your own power? Is this something that you have had to deal with at all, Sam?
Ryan Hartigan damn man you must be seeing some drawbacks to your vision coming to life? Fear of criticism? Whatever it is, ask yourself how ‘criticism’ is also serving you, helping you, strengthening you, making you wiser, giving you what you need.
Sam I would love to know your thoughts about “the gig economy” and where you think this entrepreneurial revolution is heading in the next 5/10 years!? What would an economy of only entrepreneurs, freelancers, contractors, and consultants look like?
I think the answer of this is simple, who cares??? as long as you love what you do, it transcends the limit to limitless and goes and goes and goes for generations making the best of yourself and the best for generations to come for the best!
Good question for Sam. IMO - this will never happen. 80% of the population does not want to be an entrepreneur because they value steadiness and comfort over risk and growth. 1% will be an entrepreneur no matter what. And the 19% on the fence, watch content like Sam's, and are more likely to become self-employed.
Absolutely loved this video. I think that you should do exactly what Sam says to find out what you love. My addition is to physically list as many youtube titles and search history keywords as you can and use a free word cloud tool online to visually see the key themes in your life. Going to make a video laying this out on my channel. Ugh, you rock man. Hope to meet you in person one day,
What did you do when you were starting, when it WAS painful, when you didn't absolutely love it, but you knew you wanted it, was there a way to take away the pain in something you didn't like?
Reasons could be the thing that pulls you through. Your emotional reasons, that make you excited just to think about it - it can be buy a house for your parents, retire them, take your other half on an incredible trip. Whatever makes you feel great emotions. The more and stronger reasons, the higher chance that you will pull through.
Story of my life... I love learning things - as soon as I can do them, I lose interest. How in the hell can you make a living with it? makes me so depressed
First video of yours I disagree with or do not think that is thought through. Yes "love" is for sure one of the key components. But love is not the only one. It's a pain & pleasure relationship. And what you describe as love is something that gives you a big amount of pleasure, (almost) no pain and no limiting beliefs; so strong that everything else feels like pain when not doing it. Now, can you reassiociate pain & pleasure? With other words, can you start "loving" something? Yes, absolutely. Btw you can also just be motivated by pain (at least in the beginning). But in this video it sounds like if you don't love something, you cannot become successful at it and even if you try it will be much harder. And that is not true. Your way is just the easiest way to answer this question, because I needed to learn how reassociate pain&pleasure (start truely loving sth).
chbik chpok Look further then that if you love horses you might also like horse racing, maybe that is something you are interested in. Or having something that learn people to ride horses it could be everything. I love my dog but I am not going to do dog shows with her haha. So maybe find something that is not a person/animal. And I know it was a joke I just wanted to give you some advice what could potentionally help you😁
@@jaycalvin3783 Yes it's a joke and yes it's fucking deep. I'm a cinephile, my buissness and my degrees are extreamly related to that, i dont need to be Akira Kurosawa or Tarkovsky to be happy and to live with my passion. So yes i understand what sam's mean with that and i love it. Thank you Anyway 💐
The answer to my favourite movie was spot on actually. The first movie that popped into my head was "Forest Gump". So much I could say about how much I identify with the main character. Essentially, I often feel like the dumbest person in the room, and quite "stupid", but I always manage to go on fantastical adventures I couldn't pre-plan even if I tried. And it always ends with me saying "See. The universe loves me." Because everything has some magical way of working out for the best (even though painful at times) through following my promptings, accepting what is, and just saying yes to opportunities that good friends/loving people recommend. I really enjoyed your breakdown of "knowing thyself" and how to actually access some of that important information for myself. I'll be sharing this video with others who are having the procrastination-like behaviours. Thanks Sam!
