9:09 El Al actually did have a major accident (crash) once in Amsterdam. one of the 747 cargo's engine litterly just fell off hitting and destroying another engine on the way. Some of the hydraulic was also damaged but the crew didn't know that, so when they attempted emergancy landing they opened the flaps, It opened on one wing only which created an unrecoverable spin and crashed. today there is a memorial at the crash site. there is actually a very interesting "Mayday" episode about it.
as far as i know flares and ir lasers only work against heat seeking missiles, which could be why you got shot down if the f4 was using radar guided missiles
so El Al isn't the only airline to have this (I say airline but I mean like plane company in general) because FedEx planes that flew over the Middle East had a laser system that pointed lasers at incoming heat seeking missiles to throw them off and let the plane escape the missile.

I think you use the chaff to decay the missiles coz they are like radar guided. If its like a fox 2(for example aim-9x), you can flare since it got a heat seeker
The video was uploaded like a couple hours before Yom Kiput that almost no one in Israel is using their phones (im Israeli) And EL AL only fly from Ben Gurion Airport, Rosh Pina I think is only for general aviation mostly single engine plane And in Ben Gurion the will usually takeoff from runway 26 if there isnt a special event or thing or something

Correction. At 9:09 you say they never had an accident. But on October 4th 1992 El Al Cargo flight 1862 a 747-200F crashes after losing engine 3 and 4. It crashed into a apartment building killing all 4 onboard as well as 39 in the apartment building. Edit : I think he means terrorist or shootdown related crashes
