Changed title from *Why You Can't Speedrun Fall Guys* to _Why You Can't Speedrun Lily Leapers_ to avoid confusion since you can speedrun other maps, I talk about Lily leapers in this video and not the other maps. Hey Guys! People have commented that you can do 360 dive with 144, 150, 160 FPS and not only 300 FPS, I wasn't able to find a definitive answer while researching this it for this video so I can't be sure on the truth to these claims, either way from my research, 300 seemed to be popping up, which is why I went with that number.

Reason why you cant speedrun fall guys: you are not kerem.

I've been playing Geometry Dash for 2 years and what i learnt is that fps changes EVERYTHING. Some levels are waaaay more difficult on 60fps than 240fps and since when players got 144fps and so on, the game split into 2 parts, playing on 60fps makes the physics of the game much worser and adds a lot of imput delay than a person that plays on 144fps. So for this reason the community made a programm called "Fps Bypass" where basically you can set the frame rate that you want on your monitor. But, speaking as a 60hz player, this STILL isn't a fix becuase some levels are loaded with objects and my computer simply can't run it so yea it's a big problem.

With the new SS4 update, it seems that the 360° dives were nerfed to become more-like 180° dives. I know this because I accidentally/unintentionally did it once (and I only have 120 fps). And I have seen some streamers do this new 180° dives as well.

hello. i teseted the fps my self. u need at least 150fps to do 360 dives. but the more fps u have the easier it became. thats why sxyd and kerem play on 300fps. also im a new subscriber love your channel bro keep it up 👍

Wow the tick rate explanation was really interesting. As for Delta Time, isnt the symbol delta (Δ) used in maths as the symbol for average? So then it refers to average time..? In this case your client (your own game) and the server comparing how long it's taking to chat back & forth ON AVERAGE and then account for it..? hrm Really really interesting video. I play on pc too and hope 360's get removed or nerfed (more). Its disheartening when someone quals in under 10s.

I've been learning speedrunning since s5. 360s are just a door that i don't have the key cus i can't buy it. I want it for EVERYONE, this means: A lot of new names will surge after the update, more skills to learn Previous WRs will still be beatable, and have more room for improvement

For me I would want to have it for everyone or a nerfed version, BUT in a way that the average player could see other beans doing it and being intuitive enough to try it by yourself. I hate when speedrunning techs are inuintuitive and to know how to do them you need to be part of a really specific community. A lot of people don't use social media at all. I think the big culprit here is Lily Leapers as a Final itself (Time Attack maps are technically a Final), cuz it's the only map where 360 dives are THAT relevant, and being a Final makes it matter way more. In other maps 360 dives are only one small time save from all the time saves you can do, and in other maps they're completely irrelevant. Yes, you can qualify faster, but the thing that matters if you want crowns is just qualify and win the Final. The solution could either be changing Lily Leapers Limbo with having an actual normal Final, or adding SBMM to it, which would be its own problem cuz we know SBMM as it is today works badly. If they remove 360 dives completely I wouldn't be mad tbh. People say "but WRs would become unbeatable". Well, first of all WRs can become obsolete if game patches make them unbeatable, and this happens in a lot of games, Minecraft Bedrock being an example. Second thing: This actually happened before when MT removed one drum skip which saved a good amount of time at the momment, and the speedrun communiy just found other time saves. This could happen again without 360 dives, speedrunners are underestimating themselves. Anyways, this won't be solved in the near future cuz we depend on Mediatonic to do this delicate task, and we know that Mediatonic historically can mess up game mechanics in crazy ways and taking a lot of time doing it.

Great Coverage on this! I do want to say somethings regard something about the switch port being able to do 360 dives. I don’t think the dive would work on switch due to the switch port being.. yknow. The game not only is locked to 30 frames, but on lily leapers, the frames can go down to around 20 frames for some reason. Plus LL in general sucks on the switch due to the stuttering in terms of being mid dive and just freezing mid way to the pads. I think 360 dives COULD work on PS4, but for switch? I think even if they made it for everyone, it would be impossible or EXTREMELY difficult.

Even on PC 300 fps I cannot 360 dive nearly that fast. Im wondering if its a technique thing. Also my PC struggles above about 160 but 150 seems to be about the same as 300 for me. Maybe that has an affect

As a pretty bad game dev, I can say most game devs usually use this line of code when not wanting fps to effect gameplay Time.deltatime It basically just makes it so no matter what fps you have it doesn’t change the outcome. correct me if I’m wrong I don’t really know if this would even work with fall guys physics after I’m a still a noob when it comes to game development.

Hi izzy, can i do the 360 dive with a bad pc? A friend of mine can do 360 in his setup but he played yesterday on my house and he couldnt do it. I can go up to 300 fps but my Hz are 60. The maximum quality i can play on is 1920x1080 60Hz...So you dont only have to play at pc, you need to have a 1000 dollars pc

do you need a beffy monitor for those 300 fpss?

Would a nerfed version of spin diving mean that players can still do a full 360 consistently but just don’t get extra speed? Or does it make Turing your fall guy around in a 360 slower?

BTW 360 dives can only be done with a controller, I have a pc that can be run with 300 fps, but I don't play on controller, so it still means I can't do it awesome video

2:27 as a Nintendo switch fall guys player it gets real laggy but mainly at the start of the round and if you are going fast. One time I was playing fall guys and as the players were loading in I saw my self Tpose. This was in season one.

As the new world record holder of lily leapers, I can say for sure that just having 360 dives does not make you magically fast. There is much more to 360 dives than just spinning your joystick.

I would remove 360 DIVES because when I play hoop chute and I dive in the portal but when I come out of the other side my fall guy does an automatic 360 dive and I usually miss the first two hoops and it ruins my score.

I play on PS5 and I have been doing 360 dives for a long time now. The thing is, it happens randomly and I can't do it deliberately. Sometimes I dive and it just happens. I don't think PS5 allows 150 FPS so I don't know how this is happening.

See, how would we get world records, if we cancelled 360 dives altogether? It’s like the current frute chute world record, you need a big for it to come true. But that bug has been patched, so how would this work?

Meadatonic are planning to fix this they said on discord weather we all want -everyone to be able to do it - everyone to be able to do a nerfed version of it -nobody can do it I just want everyone to be able to do it

Fun fact: You can porpousely 360 dive on 60 fps. Well not 360, but gain a massive amount of speed. Idk if it works for others but I play on switch and my lily best is about 23 seconds

I have a PC that can do 360 dives but I’m a keyboard and mouse player so doing the mechanic is not really feasible for me sadly. I would hate to remove a skill gap from the game since the skill gap is already not that high but I feel it should probably be removed due to it still not being accessible to everyone even without talking about framerate.

they are probably already using delta time for physics to for example move the player. It's just a matter of applying it to player rotation

I'm on PS4 and sometimes I accidentally do 360 dives but I can't do them consistently.

But can you make a video about that they shouldnt like do this for example i get 120 fps on libby of fall guys and in game it like drops to 11 fps or 30 whyyy and it also depends on how many people are with me if they are super crowdy 10 fps and espesaly on learing light its the worst please make a video about that

How to do a 360 dive spin in fall guys ?

If you're playing on the switch,Xbox or PlayStation and you can't do the 360 dive it because of your fall guy movement acceleration.

i am keyboard players , i did 360 dives as a ffa player , KBM guys cant do it now , i do 180 now and speedrun in it . PC players with controllers are always OP then rest. and switch players to grab is so weird .

Delta time is included in both Unity and Unreal Engine. I don't know why they would make a competitive multiplayer game using event::tick and not use the built in delta time. That's just dumb. Now they're going to have to rewrite all of the networking code so that it uses delta time.

you dont need 300 fps you need about 160 fps.also the 360 dives are only possible for controller players and that makes them even worse

We need the 360 dive for ps4&ps5

If you change your settings like the shadow or anything else you can have more fps but your game won’t be beautiful but you have more fps

I'd rather wish they removed the option to do it. Idk what it's like for others but I am on switch and it's painful enough with the lag and freezes going on. Very present in the time attack mode. Im on ps4 with 60fps and did 22:88 in lily leapers, i dont know why but recently i Just got faster at lily every Dive 3 days ago my record was 26:45 and i can do 360 dives sometimes

I would say let everyone 360 dive because it’s fun to do it and people wanna expirence what it feels like to do it

If you play on switch in handheld mode the performance is baaaaaad but, if you play on docked mode or tv mode you get better performance

As an Xbox player (with 60 fps) I can do what I like to call 90 diving. Basically if you move your joystick from left to right then dive really fast you will do a 90 dive If done properly it is like 1.75x faster than normal diving

With all due respect.. yes frames are certainly a thing, but I have come across a PS player who is actually speed running and is almost on same level as the PC guys. I don't understand how he(PS player) is able to do things that 99% of us are not able to do on the same FPS. There is a skill issue for sure. The guy am talking about posts PS4 world records and is really good at the game

I think that this is an epic mechanic that definently should stay in the game to improve the skill cieling but It should be accesible to all palyers
