People came to that conclusion that there is one is because of lots of observations based on empirical data and analysis The soft pity system is not a fact confirmed by Genshin themselves. Im confused. Im relatively new to genshin. I thought when you lose a 50/50 the next 5 star is guaranteed to be the banner character. Did i understand that wrong? From your comment i read that you lost more than one 50/50 without winning one? I think i either misunderstood your comment or the 50/50 system

They mean that they have been losing there 50/50 when they are off of garuteed you can still still get your chacarter on the banner after losing but after your garutte you're back on a 50/50 hope this helped a bit if not feel free to ask me@cratuss2661

How is that even possible? Aren't you guaranteed the limited 5☆ after you lose a 50/50? I myself lost the 50/50 on Nilous's recent banner, so I pulled a guaranteed Kazuha. After that, I started pulling for Mualani. I got Mona 20 pulls after Kazuha. And THEN after another 20 pulls, I got a guaranteed Mualani

Unless it's his first 50/50 in the entirety of genshin this can't prove that you get radiance when losing your first 50/50, who's to say how many 50/50s he lost in a row before 5.0

@@aymenbx648 but the capturing radiance mechanic starts from 5.0. So any 5050 lost before 5.0 didn't have a chance to proc capturing radiance meaning it doesn't get the stack. And even if we're considering the ones before 5.0, he won his last 5050 so it must have reset even in that case.

You do get 2 guarantees. After you get standard character you're guaranteed the limited. And after that you're guaranteed again with the capturing radiance because you lost 3 in a row already

If you lose the 50/50, the next one is guaranteed. What we mean by losing 2 50/50s is that losing the first 50/50, then getting the guaranteed and losing the next 50/50 after the guaranteed too

at 1:27 you can see what I mean, If you lose your 3rd 50/50 in a row you have: your usual guarnteed from having lost the 50/50 AND after that, your next 50/50 is a also guaranteed because your capturing radiance chance would be at 100% making it effectively 2 guaranteeds in a row

It all depends on how much pull you can do really. I play AL since week 1 and I have only missed 1 character when they first released (I had enough to pull a lot but forgot about the event end date) never had any real problem getting a specific character

When you lose a 50/50 you get a guaranteed, so that's 1. If you already lost 3 50/50s in a row then your next 50/50 chance is either a win or a captured radiance, menaing that it's won either way, and that's the 2nd guaranteed. this scenario would be at 1:27 of the video.

around $360 worth of pulls just to garuntee you get 1 copy of the character you're even pulling for (need 7 copies for a complete character) in a game with over 80 character and more being added is exessively greedy.

@@kipsir8243 I know, wish it was more like My Hera Academia: The Strongest Hero on pulls. you are 100% garunteed to get the special banner character everytime you pul an S rank. 0% chance of getting an off banner character. Allmight banner only gives almight, Hawks banner only gives Hawks, etc. Game died for other reasons but the pull system was nice and they made plenty of money still.

More like players pull 1 5* and wonder why a 10% chance animation didnt play...

If that's the case there might be a very small chance to get it before losing 2 50/50s in a row. Do you happen to have recorded your pulls?, You might unironically be the 1st to have it happen at 0 50/50 lost prior

You may think of it this way, if you get capturing radiance after your first lost 50/50 then it's early pity, if after the second then that's soft pity but if in the third then it is hard pity.

1) Unfortunately it doesn't count anything before 5.0 2) Yes any 50/50 win resets the Capturing Radiance chance back to the start, doesn't matter if you trigger Capturing Radiance or not

I didn't forumlate this theory myself, but it is most likely because there hasn't been anyone who has had it before that(with verifiable proof). Some people claim to have had it, so there might be a very slim chance for it to happen prior, we need more data at the minute

We have a ton of data that shows what is said in this video is highly likely Capturing Radiance happens most of the time in the 3rd 50/50 (after 2nd loss) and nobody has lost 50/50 after the 3rd loss While nobody has clear evidence of it happening before any loss and only have 1 instance of evidence that shows it happening after 1st loss

@@duyquang3589 the data people have been collecting has shown this is likely how it works So no I don't think it's fake We have seen that the Capturing Radiance mechanic mainly happens after 2nd "50/50" loss and nobody seems to lose "50/50" after the 3rd loss (After 3rd loss doesn't always trigger Capturing Radiance but it's always been the limited character so it's likely 50% limited character and 50% Capturing Radiance after 3rd loss)

I'll be as thorough as I can, since I've already seen your case and took it in consideration ( u/pasokitlog) IWTL is a Content Creator, not an advertiser. His pulls are his, if he wins doesn't mean you will aswell, if he loses, doesn't mean you'll also lose. about global pulls: Mualani and Kazuha are having very slighlty higher rates than avg, it's super small but definitely not worse. in future banners it will be more noticeable. why did you trash your artifacts?, artifacts haven't changed though idk why they are brought up here. It worsened your pullrate because you got unlucky this time around, if your bad luck were to persist (keep losing 50/50s) then this system would actually benefit you, by increasing your chances to win. Of course your case would still be an unlucky one, but not as bad as not having a ramp-up chance kick in at some point This is not a stunt nor a scam, they were vague but not wrong. Having a consolidated rate of 1.6% per pull is correct, 400 (the number i said around 0:50 ) wasn't litteral, it's an approximation, simply 80 * 5 I'm also NOT HoYo, so whatever number I'll ever bring up isn't HoYo advertising it. it's just me saying it which is as valid as what you say You said the fun has lost you, and I want you to know that there are predatory systems in this game that want you to be addicted to it, if the game doesn't feel fun to play anymore, don't hesistate to quit it. Funnily enough the game rewards you for taking breaks and then coming back, because it will acvtivate an event called "Stellar Reunion" which will give you a 10 pull, resin 2x drops and much more.

This system is obviously better I've been extremely active day one player and only ever won 50/50 twice This stops losing streaks like mine You say that the average is lower than previous banners which was true early on in the patch but that's because the CR mechanic didn't count any loss before 5.0 Most people pull for the limited character once and if they lose the 50/50 they either move on or have to wait to gain more primos to try again The rates have improved slightly since then However we will only see a significant improvement of rates over time because of how the system works It's an ramp up not a jump

Trashed artfiact means level 20 artifact used to level up another artifact at maybe 2 levels lower than 20 instead of saving it. There is some enojoyment, but a lot less now especially with so many content creators luck ive seen like digging salt to your wounds. Maybe hoyo should just change their consolidated advertised pull rate of 1.6% to wbat is actually is. That is around 1.4% in my case for the last year. Or add a disclaimer that this can actually not help your account at all but make jt worse. I cannot agree to something that would supposedly improve your rates, but in actuality does not even meet the advertised consolidated 1.6% advertised rate.

To make it super clear, I believe the new mechanic is a marketing stunt to hide the fact that your actual number of pulls does not improve in Natlan, in fact its actually waay worse base on global numbers posted. The thing real players are wary of, are how many actual pulls you make to get that 5 star or limited 5 star character. With this new mechanic, I can, and have experienced over 160pulls to get just one (1) limited 5-star character. While another player, content create like iwintolose, can get three (3) limited 5-star characters with similar number of pulls, even triggering the mechanic. The difference here is the pull rate, to even get to the point of triggering the mechanic, you be lucky enough to trigger the 1.6 consolidated rate of 5 star. Which in iwintolose case is probably at a much higher rate needing a lot less than 80 pulls to get it, where in my case its at around 80 pulls, which is normal. With this mechanic, can you honestly tell me that it would help my account given the above real world scenarios? That's why i think its a marketing gimick at best, and a scam even, instead of fixing their actual rates to get a limited 5 star to at the very least their advertised consolidated rate of 1.6%, or add a disclaimer saying that with this mechanic, you can still get lower than the advertised consolidated rate

lol imagine what I feel after losing Kazuha for so many years. It was only after I managed to get a good device to play in I managed to save enough to lose 5050 and guarantee Kazuha You have to understand who you get, cuz even if I lost Yelan to Jean I'll still be spending the next primos for Nahida or the next character on my meta list

No one's really penalized at all. Bigger spenders would still have a rate close to 55/45 so it'd make no difference to them

you would have your normal guarnteed that comes from losing the 50/50 and after that another "guaranteed" because capturing radiance should be at 100% chance
