Man, I’m sorry to hear about that. I always make sure to talk about where incisions are going to be and how big. If they were going to be any bigger than the areola I would have made sure to talk about that with my patients to make sure that was okay. Sorry to hear about your experience and I hope your scars fade as best as possible.
@@ThePlasticLife Well i was told i need it to remove excess skin. Problem is i was lean and there was only 80g of tissue. it was completely unneccesary and i was made to feel i was wrong when highlighting that everyone i know has only had incision around the areola.
@@KerLurOTurHur That can be the case sometimes. There’s two ways to address loose skin after removal of all the gland tissue: 1) remove it right away and have a scar or 2) let the skin retract over the next 6 months and if there is any poor aesthetic from the loose skin then go ahead and remove it. Either approach might result in a more noticeable scar on the chest and the possibility of those scars should be discussed before surgery.
My surgeon during consultation said that it may not be necessary to remove the gland. What is the benefit in that? Isn’t the point to remove the gland?
Brother don't do same mistake as I done 😢😢😢my surgeon also said me that and doesn't remove gland now after my surgery nothing changed only some upper chest fat is reduced
Sometimes that can happen. I’ve done cases where after I finish my lipo, i can’t feel any glands left behind. However, I will still make the small incision along the areola border to investigate as there have been times that there was a small amount of gland that was present, just difficult to feel through the skin. If you have the results that you want, I would enjoy your new chest and give it time. There’s a good chance it won’t return and you’ll be fine.
Can you recommend anyone in Arkansas, i live in North West Arkansas. I've been an unhappy person for many years due to gyno. no matter how much exercise and running i do, its still there
The more weight you can lose before surgery will help you to get even better results. If you have the surgery and then lose a bunch of weight then there’s a chance you could have some loose skin if its massive weight loss. But if you just need to lose about 10 to 15 lbs and are young then you should be fine having the surgery
Some indentation after the procedure is normal for a few weeks after, but if it stays like that permanently then the likely problem is that not enough tissue was left under the nipple to support it in a normal manner.
@@ThePlasticLife Thank you sir. So far so good. One side has healed near perfectly. The other scar is a bit more raised and spitting more of the dissolvable sutures. Wearing silicone sheets over both scars and my compression vest. In the gym doing just legs (3 weeks post).
Thats a great question and one I should probably make a video on. The short answer: over the age of 18 if it is still around, men should get it whenever they really want it. Under the age of 18 depends on factors such as psychological impact (teasing, embarrasment) and wether it tends to go away in the family or how young the patient is. Very young like 10 to 12 I’d recommend waiting to see if it gets better, 13 to 18 is kind if that grey zone. It could go away, but the confidence boost guys get when its gone can really help psychologically
