I lived in Salem Ma for 8 years and I have been here in Plymouth for the second time in my life for 11 years now 5 years before in the late 80's. I can tell you Halloween time in Salem Ma is 1000x worse than thanksgiving in plymouth Ma. trust me on that. 1-1.5 hours to go from downtown Peabody to Salem harbor which is about 5 miles. I took vacation from October 21st till November 1st as far away from there as possible.😆i will take the thanksgiving traffic here in Plymouth over that any day.
If you’ve lived here for years you know the shortcuts to get around and you know where to eat when you don’t have time to wait. I used to work on the waterfront, I loved it. White Horse is mostly a private beach. Find another or plus there are over 300 ponds to swim in. The weather is New England. Maybe not the place for you.
As a resident of Plymouth for over 40 years, I completely agree with you - once you get familiar with the area, its easier to find the 'paths less traveled'. Thanks for your input and for watching!

Your weather sounds amazing to me! I live in Ca and the summer is so hot you never want to leave the house🥵 I love winter and we barely have one. I think it rained maybe 10 days last winter 🤣 My husband and I are planning to move to Massachusetts and are looking at different areas. We loved Salem but we are looking around.
Don't blame the tourists, there are many more fun beaches, resorts in MA/New England, but they choose to visit here to pay respect.This is the place where America started.
No Offense-But Baloney-I’ve In Plymouth twice-8-14, Married 30-34. To complain about traffic which this New England town depends on is nothing new. Suggest you go back to Boston and compare the difference. The charm and historical value of roots of Plymouth far out weigh newbies complaining about how much time takes to get your groceries. I’m 62, and live in SO Cal. Complain about traffic! Unless you truly value Plymouth to Maine please don’t bother your time complaining about moving around beautiful Plymouth in the On Season.
Geez! I have resided in Plymouth for 20years. Love our tourists. Not swarms of folks? Without them its dead here. I know its busier, but brings in great business. Love to share my btfl community. Plymouth💘💖
Absolutely - it's sometimes a love/hate relationship with tourists. Love that they're supporting local businesses and interesting to meet people from out of town. But frustrating when you're trying to get to your destination and you're stuck behind a tour bus or slow driver! LOL
LOL My kids said the same thing! Funny thing is - that movie wasn't filmed here nor does it look like Plymouth...typical Hollywood! Thanks for watching!

Nobody cares about the tourists. We are locals. We also know where to park for free. We park at our friends and family at White Horse. Thanks for driving off the outliers. 😊
