I remember the days when buying a product meant it belonged to you; nowadays it seems like you're hiring the product because the brand owner seems to still have a lot of control. Anyway, I just got an old junked Ipad and am trying to see if it's worth trying to jailbreak it. A lot to learn. Thanks for the vid. Great 'bloopers' at the end by the way 😂
I remember jailbraking my iPad 2 way back in the day and since then I`ve thought that using a non-jailbroken iPad is basically pointless. iPads are such a powerful devices yet Apple (due to brand imaging) lets you use only a fraction of their true potential.
Some one gave me a 4th Gen IPad which was my first experience with Apple and imo they're worthless. It can't run anything without demanding money, and anything free won't even install, it tells you to upgrade. Then it doesn't allow you to upgrade! WTH. I can't even get it to work as a simple plug in monitor. Its basically a paperweight/dim nightlight, thats about all its good for. Had it a month and its basically a time waster whenever I feel like spending hours watching RU-vid videos struggling unsuccessfuly to get it to anything. One of these days I need to just throw it in the garbage.
Types of jailbreak (if you lazy): Untethered - No PC, using web, permanent, old device, bootable Semi-Untethered - Needs PC for sideload, bootable, rerun the exploit to keep tweaks Semi-Tethered - Needs PC, permanent, bootable, but tweaks will be gone. Rejailbreak it Tethered - Needs PC every time you boot your device, take less storage
not everything because then you need root and that comes down to jailbreaking actually it is all the same android and ios only one is slightly better secured :D
I remember back in the day when i jailbreaked my ipad 1 2nd gen and ipod. Those were the prime days of jail breaking, especially when you could make the in-game purchases free of charge. So you could get subscriptions, gems and all that for free
The good old days, i did the same on my iPad Mini 1 on iOS7 i also got the free iap tweak and it worked in most of the apps i had. It was amazing to be able to use iFile, terminal emulators and use custom boot animations, sounds, themes. iOS 7 jailbreak was the golden age of jailbreaking.
Definitely will look into this. Had Apple back in like 08 and did the jailbreak to get free games but switched to android since. Now I got an iPad and nunber one thing I always had on Android is RU-vid vanced and no ads
I agree with you... I bought a couple of games from apple years ago, and now they don’t even have them in their library and I don’t have the games anymore, something that I paid for....
@@kemisenpai9701 The value of Apple products is much better, as something like the Samsung a53 is really choppy and slow, compared to the iPhone se which is smooth and responsive
@@thatrawk @thatrawk and yet I can play games on 90- 120 fps and who the f**k said that the a53 is slow I hope you haven't forgotten the overheating problems on the se not to mention the cameras being worst than the iPhone 8 plus also if you're comparing midrange or budget androids every one knows samsung isn't the best value for money for instance the relme gt neo 3 is pretty much on par with the s22 ultra in terms of performance while being half the price of the A53 with way better cameras battery life and a 120hz screen while the Se is stuck with the iPhone 8 screen which means even though it has the A15 bionic you'll never be able to use the full power it's like putting a lambo's engine in a dump truck an using it in a hold up meanwhile on the android side even if my chip is half as powerful as yours I'll be playing games on 90-120fps for a fraction of the price now could you explain to me how an iPhone is better value for money and don't say anything about updates the don't matter as much on android compared to ios you could still use an android 5 phone in 2022 and have compatability with pretty much all the apps but if your not on ios 13 or latter yo phone is pretty much useless like you can't even install RU-vid or Facebook
This is my first time watching this video. I instantly like it and I also feel I am going to be taking some pointers from it myself in creating my own content. One of the things I like is how short it is. The other, there's no need for background music unless it is needed. In this case it doesn't. It just wants you to grab the full attention. Awesome work.
Good video! But reason number one is that Apple cheats its customers. We pay full price for a device and are not allowed to decide what we can do with it! This makes the purchased device a rental device! And that is actually fraud!
Back in the day for ios7 & ios8 it was great to jailbreak. You didn't have to tether or semi-tether. You didn't have to constantly wait 7 days & have to re-sign the apps either. Those days are gone! So for me it's not worth jailbreaking. You're better off getting an Android, especially for emulation. PS2 emulator rocks on Android not on Ipad.
It’s actually really good on iPhone 13 seen a video running at 60 so the chip can definitely handle it but it is easier on android only issue is android batteries die much faster and you need a decent android to run ps2 as well anything around 2016 and prior that isn’t already a top chip won’t be able to handle ps2
These reasons would be a lot more compelling if I didn’t already pay for RU-vid premium and have jitterbug to run dolphin… but #5 hits home, it would be really nice to be able to use any software you like, you can do it on pc and there’s no reason you shouldn’t on iPad. In my opinion, unless you’re a hardcore programmer or gamer, this lack of software options is the major and only thing holding iPad Pro back from being a proper laptop replacement. (Disclaimer, I’ve been laptopless and ipad-only for years now, but I’m not a power user and it mostly meets my needs.) Edit: I’ve since purchased a Surface Pro 6 and installed Pop!_OS Linux on it instead. There are a couple trade offs (touch scrolling works but you have to drag the sidebar) but I have the desktop power and freedom in tablet form factor. If I could have it on iPad I still would, but I’m happy with the compromise. Sayonara Apple!
@@rewire7899 yes absolutely!! And I totally agree with what you said, that we should be free to do what we like with something we’ve purchased. Can’t wait til it’s a little easier and more accessible to install Linux on iPad too, I’ll be one of the first 😄
@@rewire7899 omg, i was trying to figure out what i can use on this ipad air i got. there's no youtube vanced, and what have you. all the things you've describe for a jailbroken iPad is what i can get on my s8 tab. To me, it's really sad that the m1 can't be taken advantage of with their iPads as of the moment. the only interesting thing coming to them, i feel is stage manager, where you can have a dual display. I can have something similar on android but i noticed with the s8 tab, there is no way for me to change the resolution or extend display, it only mirrors what is on your tablet. I'm still testing the iPad Air and trying my best not to find a jailbreak thing although idk if there is any as of now but i don't see any compelling reason why i shouldn't.
developer options let me play with the DPI though, so there's that too and Kiwi Browser allows me to run chrome extensions (idk why CHROME doesn't have this!!!). I'm able to run Linux on it, albeit, it's not as stable but it's not as bad either. I was excited to get the m1 iPad air but now, i feel like it was a waste of time. Kinda glad i didn't pay for it other than shipping cost.
I might be late to the game of jailbreaking BUT am looking at getting an iPad mini just for my car for say music and Google maps etc... Is it worth jailbreaking it?
You don't actually need to jailbreak to run emulators(or any app not in the app store), this can be achieved with Altstore or other sideloading methods
Hey - sorry. Have a look here; www.idownloadblog.com/2020/08/30/how-to-checkra1n-windows-bootra1n/ I haven't tried it from a windows pc before, looks like it might be quite tricky.
OK. So im looking down in the description ( as directed in your video ) to see how to tether my iPad to a windows computer to do a jailbreak on my iPad. However, there is no such description. Please let us know how.
Which one of the jailbreakable iPads is the most powerful? I really need to jailbreak an iPad as a key part of my workflow is a part of iPad and I hate apple’s closed down software ecosystem.
0:19 when I saw the list I didn’t see the iPad 4 mini for a second so I was disappointed but my face instantly lit up as soon as I saw the bottom of the list 😭
Have a stupid question that is there a possibility to you air drop of apps on my ipad mini 2 after jailbreak it has iOS 12.5.5 latest and sadly the last update, also is there a way to trick the store that it's running iOS higher
So are you saying that it doesn’t matter even if you have the latest iPadOS you can jailbreak it if you have one of those IPads on that list? I’m kinda curious about it although a bit unsure because I’m not very tech savvy. Also is it ok to use the same Apple ID as you use on your other non jailbroke Devices. Really I’m mostly interested in not having RU-vid commercials and the ability to use emulators
I haave a question because I wanna jailbreak my ipad just to download apk only, my question is can i do that once i jailbreak my ipad? Or do i need certain app first before downloading apk. My second question is how to jailbreak.
Hei thanks for the great info! How come its not possible to jail break ipad mini 2, 2013? My question comes because i only use that old ipad to read books and as its so slow and not many apps are available anymore I was wondering if jailbreak it would increase the power (faster ipad and accesability to all apps) or its not even possible anymore? I appreacite in advance anybodys answer
Awsome! I got an iPad two years ago. And it is litraly useles. The iPad is limited that i sometimes want to trow it out the window. It makes me understand How it was to live in the SovietUnion😅so Thanx A lot!
But heres the thing, would jailbreak have an impact towards online gaming such as codm and pubgm, wont they be able to detect its a jailbreak device and eventually ban you?
I’ve been an Apple user since the iPhone 3 but I’m beginning to hate them more and more like I have a controller and it won’t work on my iPhone X I really want to use it for gaming works fine on my old iPhone 6s so annoying I’m definitely going to jailbreak the hell out of everything I got even my brand new iPhone 12 mini I mean why not thanks for a great video keep it up🤘😎
Please forgive my ignorance. I have an older Ipad from deceased person. Did succeed in getting the 4Gb of images from it onto backup drive, and thought I could then just wipe it, reload, and start fresh. Wiped it, then it is insisting on passcodes which are unknown. Is this a brick or is there a way to make it useful again?
Question: I use a windows pc, and want to jailbreak my iPad, second generation 11 inch running iOS 15.5, it does not have a home button and I am wondering if it requires having a home button. If there is any bypasses to this please tell me. Also you didn’t link a windows pc tutorial, if you can reply with one that would help a ton.
A better alternative to that RU-vid app now is uYou+. I’m using it as I type this; PiP, background play, downloading, sponsor block, dislike numbers, AND you don’t need to jailbreak because it can be sideloaded (still recommend jailbreaking though, for unlimited app sideloading)
Seems to defeat the intended purpose for some here, but I was gifted a used iPad, and can no longer change the Apple ID. If I use this jailbreak on the hardware, could I then go to the Apple ID and change it to mine, even if the device powers down?
Appart from emulators and tweaks I have always had to root my android device for these features but in general I never needed the system tweaks part so at this point it’s not a question of android device vs apple device but more android users vs apple users. But you know,at the end of the day ,it’s night.
I remembered when i bought an ipad touch i was fascinated with the hardware, i jailbreaked, it was the best thing ever... kept up with all my devices up to my redmi note 7 a couple years ago... Just bought an old renewed Ipad 6, to draw... i made the mistake of updating to ios 15... instead of jailbreaking... ITS FREAKING FRUSTRATING NOT Being able to transfer files amongst my devices... just because they say i cant share anything via bluetooth... xD We apple costumers are dumb huh? paying way too much for devices capable of marvelous things but blocked so we don't get to do half the things other brands offer...
@@I.V2022 Just think. Think for a moment. Think. Who would develop malware for such a small bundle of devices. And don't get me started on how you said jailbreaking would automatically give malware, it doesnt.
@@linuxization4205 yes, let's think for a second. to answer your first question: frank, possibly with Bob as well. Hackers would make a malware for such a small amount of users. Who else would? Gregg? As for your 2nd part, that's like installing a program that doesn't automatically give you a virus. Right, unless it does.
