Really enjoying your channel guys…subscribed after seeing you on wills channel…love your presentation & videos…going to go back and watch some of your Indonesian stuff as live part time in Jakarta & UK…❤️❤️❤️
Ah no way, thanks so much and welcome aboard. Oh how we wish we had documented more of our overseas stuff but just gives us more excitement to get back out there! Terima kasih!
Hey Guys new subscriber (jumped over from Wills Channel) 👍🏽 That was an AWSOME road (one of our Favs in UK) but like I told Will I can't believe you didn't go over into Applecross !! The views are to die for and the pub grub is delish ! Then the easier drive out of Applecross is where you encounter all the Highland Cooos 😤 Loving yr work tho ✌🏾 🚐💨❤️
Ah thanks a lot Ian. Welcome aboard! 👋🏼 ah man if it wasn’t for the weather we would have, Lauren was gutted she missed the highland cows at applecross too!
Must have been the same time we went Camping after waiting for the best weather ( 20deg) which turned out to be totally wrong and felt freezing at night so much we had to go out and buy a winter duvet...we had 2days which was enough!...must save up for a Campervan.
Hi Charlie and Lauren, I've just spent 2 weeks at Achmelvich and it there were only 2 days that it rained, and it was only showers! And even though it was sunny and warm the sea was still cold....
Just found your channel, hubby & I come to Scotland every year in March, from Bournemouth in our converted Transit, can’t get enough of the beautiful scenery! Your vlogs are entertaining xx
Aaah the good ole Scottish weather! The beach looks like something out of the Carribean - You can tell the Scottish people = They're the ones swimming lol. West Coast deffo better - A good place to live! Skin-So-Soft = A good Tick repellent! (Think I'll upgrade my brakes before doing that route). Good tour.
Haha can always rely on the weather in the UK to be consistent...rain! Absolutely, I tried to swim a few times but they're much braver than me! Definitely get the brakes checked before doing the NC500!
@@CharliePauly thanks for the reply guys I'm just getting the 2007 transit and selling our vauxhsll vivaro camper so hopefully be all good love your videos
Love it!! Some great footage and banter as always guys & galls!! We just put a deposit down for our first ever camper van, complete with Pop Top, due in March next year!! Can’t wait to get out there exploring. Also just uploaded my first ever you tube video about our new van!!
The very last time I went to the isle of Skye I must have been about 6/7 so we're talking about 50 yrs ago lol, they didn't have a bridge then, we missed the last ferry back so we had to stay there all night in the car, we got some drinks from a vending machine and I burned my mouth because they were too hot, we ended up knocking on somebodys door to use the loo and by law they can't refuse, I thank and pray for that person who let us into their house every day even now 50 yrs later xxx
Haha this is awesome! Thanks for sharing, we love hearing peoples stories from the places we visit and glad it could bring back some good/bad memories for you! x
No views anywhere else in UK like up morth Scotland its breathtaking, don't forget the Avon skin so soft if it's summer as we r well known for our midges.. if u r thinking about it u must go right up 2 the top up 1 side and down the other I would recommend at least 2 full wks. On route u will get sheep cows and other animals sometimes out for a stroll on the narrow twisting rds, u won't regret it treat your self 2 a different holiday. Sky is a beautiful place has a small church up there I believe prisoners of war built it. Enjoy every minute might not get the best weather but worth it. 🏴
Hi Charlie Lauren will, I have a brilliant park up for you guys on the Isle of Skye, I promise you that you will not find better I stayed there 3 nights ago ,put this address in your sat nav about half mile before this campsite you will reach the top of a steep hill that over looks the whole bay it’s beautiful the views are amazing there’s 2 park ups to choose from both with great views of the whole bay one is higher up the hill than the other but both great you will love Moyle Park Campsite Address: Glenelg, Kyle, Highlands and Islands, Scotland, IV40 8LA remember the park up is half a mile before the campsite you can’t miss it ENJOY👍🏴
Aww amazing! Thanks for following the trip. And usually I cook. (Lauren). Just because I love doing it and I like to get creative with food. But Charlie sometimes helps or some nights he likes to cook too. If we want something different, we just cook separate 😃 x
I used to live in Kirkcaldy, Fife and I like it in the East. I remember well that it can be cold, but you don't go to Scotland because its sunny, I go there because its so beautiful. Huge clouds, windswept and beautiful, desolate, clear water, Lock Ness ...
You guys are so funny. Lauren, your face pulling is hilarious 😕🤣🤣 So, here's the thing? The whole time I've been watching this Scottish trip, I didn't realize the NC500 was a thing? I thought it was the type of van you were driving lol 🤣🤣 Doh! 🙄 Thanks for the laughs, take care! 🤗✌️
The atmospheric west with misty mountains...in Cornwall we call it liquid sunshine or mizzle (I had an amazing cat I named Mizzle)... mist and drizzle. Some stunning scenery there, loving the series 💚
Gutted we won’t cross paths during your Scotland trip, we are setting off next Sat to Arran and up west coast visiting all the places we missed last year, never tire of our amazing country looks like you’re all having a ball despite the weather 😄👍 and Will 👍👍
Another great video! So strange watching back knowing you guys were behind us on the NC500. Me and my Gf were saying the same things as you guys"weather not great but atleast the midges are not about" . Looked like you guys cut out a big chuck of the NC500 and took the alternative route for motor homes . Do you guys have a PO box?
You 3 are brilliant together! I bet it was a right laugh. Definitely doing the NC500 anti clockwise next time… plus…we need to talk about your footy skills Charlie on the radfords vanlife picnic vid 😲😲😲 that was sick mate!
Loving your NC500 videos! Gutted you haven’t experienced the west coast to it’s full potential! So much to see and do if you get the right weather so I hope you head back up hear again! Not sure if you missed a part of the NC500 as when coming from Ullapool I would have thought you would have came through torridon, to applecross and then down the bealach na ba but it looked like you drove up the beleach na ba and then returned the same way, Ps a macaroni pie should be eaten hot! and even better on a buttered roll with some broon sauce 🤣🤣
Ah thanks a lot Lucie. I know, haven't had the best luck with weather but could always be worse I suppose. Haha that's right we just done the quick up and down with beleach na ba as we were short on time. As for the macaroni pie, I'll take your word for it haha!
When someone describes Scotland as 'mean, moody, magnificent,' they are saying it was raining, cold and misty. But some of the charm is how beautiful the mountains look in any weather. You found one of the few real Scottish roads left. A road - passing place with a sign on a post; B road passing place with just a sign, C road no sign, no post. I always thought Scotland was at its best in the Autumn as the Autumn colours developed.
Great seeing your trip. I was born in Glasgow and currently live in San Diego, California. Your weather is just as I remembered it (midges too!). My name is Stephen McClure. We are a sub-clan to the MacLeods from the Isle of Skye right where you are presently. When you get down to Glasgow do you plan to visit any of the islands in the river Clyde - Arran or the isle of Cumbrae (with the town of Millport - that was our holiday destination when we were kids)?
Thanks Steve! Sounds like you've lived an interesting life! Didn't get chance to visit any of the islands but definitely need to get back up to Scotland next summer!
Noticed over the last few vlogs that will isn't in them as much as he was when it started. I find will added more fun to the videos and kinda missed him in the last few episodes...I wish he would upload more on his channel.. keep up the solid flow guys, but please film more of will when he's there
Haha we tried to include him a bit more in the beginning to give the viewers an idea of who we were travelling with, but this is the Charlie & Lauren channel after all. Hopefully he'll upload his Scotland vlogs soon so you can get your Will fix.
Loving the Vlogs, loving the enthusiasm - but I think you guys and Will should swap channels for an episode, him upload a 'narrowboat' experience and you guys vlog from a dogging spot! :)
I've always read about Scotland's weather and it is definitely living up to it's reputation. But, this was still a great video. That drive up the mountain and on a single lane road, Charlie, I would have had to change my "nappy" too. Take care and TRAVEL SAFE! Keep those masks handy.
Compared to a few years ago the Applecross is a shocking joke. Last time I went over it 2 breakdowns and queues.... Brought on by this kind of mindless popularisation. It's destroying local communities.
