Great snapshot of the island, the fact you went off - piste has made it one of the best Gran Canaria videos I've seen for a long time. We always hire a motorcycle and tour all round, it's an amazing island. Great video guys!
As someone who has lived in Gran Canaria their whole life it was lovely to see the island from another perspective, even though it was a bit rushed, I hope you both enjoyed your stay. Gracias!
Loved my holiday in Gran Canaria in 2020 before the world stopped. We stayed in the south but traveled the island 😎 Glad you enjoyed your time there. 😊
Just some info. The Canary Islands were not named after the birds it was the other way around. Gran Canaria is from Gran Canine or big dog island. The Spanish found the only mammals on the island were big dogs and rabbits so named the Canine Islands. Another interesting fact Canary wharf in London got its name because it's situated on the Isle of Dogs. PS I have lived here for over 15 years now originally from Leeds.
Wooww!!! As a Canarian that I am, thank you very much for this video, it is very nice to see that other areas of the island are shown. I loved the explanations you have given of each place. They generally only take to the tourists to the south of the island, but Gran Canaria is some more than just beaches. Perhaps the excursions were a bit rushed, and there were many different places to visit, but I understand that there was not enough time for much more. I hope they come back and get to know the rest of me lovely island. I really liked your vlog, I have subscribed! Sorry for my English, is very bad!! I hope see you soon again here! 🥰👏👏🌞🌞🌞🌞
The purple one looks like Kohlrabi, also called German turnip…same fam as cabbage, broccoli, kale, sprouts, can be eaten, both raw and cooked. It is delicious steamed, sautéed, roasted, stuffed, creamed, in soup or stew, and eaten raw….love the vlog …Great memories of sailing to las Palmas 🙏
Wow that was a whirlwind trip you had!! Have you recovered yet🥰 Looks so beautiful out there, never been to Spain or Portugal, might have to check it out after seeing this😉
Haha just about but currently on our next trip and it’s going to be a very big one! 😍 ahh yeh we’d love to do more of Spain and Portugal! Hear so much good about them both ☀️
I keep repeating myself but you are such a cute couple. It is no wonder these places invite you to visit and promote them. It seemed you became more and more relaxed through the video, I hope you enjoyed yourself.
As a local, I have to say I loved your vlog! Especially the fact you knew the differences between Gran Canaria (name of the island), Las Palmas de Gran Canaria (capital town) and Las palmas (province), cause even locals here get those last two wrong. It was also a nice surprise to see the capital for a change, as most tourist people just go to the south 99% of the time. Well done!
Loved the video. Lived in Las Palmas for a couple of years. Can’t wait to revisit. If you ever go there again you must check out Roque Nublo and El Buffadero in La Garita. In my time there gutted I never got to visit the Arehucas rum factory but deffo will next time I’m over. So glad you guys enjoyed it there. Gran Canaria is somewhere I feel deeply connected to. 😍🥰🥰😍
What a whirlwind tour…. Still a great vlog and Lauren is as mad as a hatter😂😜😁gotta love her tho. Ps…. The bird isn’t a woodpecker… it is a woopoe. Great looking bird. 🙏👍
What busy bees you two were! Great vlog as usual...I feel Lauren with hair and wind struggles....lop gloss is a big no, lol. The dog story is brilliant 💕 and oh the sea, I'm blessed to live in Cornwall and the reason I'm late to this is we've been beaching it with the hot weather, sea temp is on point! Looking forward to "the big one' next 😁
Thanks so much! Haha always the hair in face problem. Aw niceee. My parents are down their now in the camper so glad the weathers been hot! Currently on our next trip as I reply to this so vlog should be up Sunday
Great vlog. It is an amazing place. Only been there once. Yumbo centre and the Dunes but that’s a whole different vlog 🤪. And what a cliffhanger. Where u off to next ?! Can’t wait now. Best wishes.
Hi Charlie. Great vlog but looks like it was a whirlwind visit. You crammed a lot in in a short space of time. Not sure anyone else has commented but the woodpecker was actually a hoopoe. A lovely bird rarely seen in the UK so a great spot on your part. Looking forward to your next adventure 😎😎
Aw thanks a lot Patricia. Yes they killed us with the itinerary on this one but still a great trip! Haha yep I’ve learned a new bird for sure. Next one is going to be huge!!
Wow I feel exhausted just watching you rushing about. I should think you need all that food to give you energy. Surprised Lauren kept going with alcohol and no siesta after! That family run place looked like the best place to visit, what lovely people.
Hari OM Well, that was fun! Frenetic, but fun. I think others have confirmed the purple is Kohlrabi - has someone mentioned that last bird is actually a Hoopoe? One of my favourite things I ever did was tour a sugar factory, so I get that you enjoyed the rum production. Well done you two! YAM xx
hi there Charlie, nice videovlog beautiful places. I'm from Gran Canaria and I'll love to do the trip that you do in the day 3, I'm looking for on "Get your guide" but didn't find something like yours. Do you have some numbers or contact to ask. It's a pleassure to see this video ^^
Hi Charlie, loving the videos. Sorry for being nosey but is there a reason you don't drink? Any van trips planned? Loved your NC500 series. Keep up the great work, love it!
Thanks mate! So growing up I was always boxing 🥊 therefore never took up drinking, and then as I got older I just didn’t see the need for it. No judgement on those that do though! Ahh NC500 was class. Would love to hit Wales or Ireland this summer! 🙌🏼
Nice video. Just been reading the comments to see if anyone said what the tree was, I think it was an apple tree but that's a bit of a guess. Can't believe there are people who insist on negative stupid comments
A lot of people don’t realise that if you go far enough in, the sand dunes are a massive gay cruising and nudist area. It’s definitely given people a few shocks over the years 😂.
I don't know if you have ever said this before on your channel but Why are you teetotal Charlie? because as a person that enjoys consuming alcohol every now and then its interesting that someone of your age doesn't
Hey mate. I get asked a lot and don’t mind answering. I grew up boxing 🥊 so never took it up as I was always training and competing. Then as I got older I didn’t see the need or interest in it. No judgement to those who do though. Lauren makes up for me 😅
Nice but very fast paist, almost racing from spot to spot. Some incredible looking food. Lauren always crossing between funny face or a sexy pose. Groovy and weird looking hotel rooms on this trip. Cutes dogs a much. Lauren, how do you keep walking with mixing all the boozes like you do. Enjoyable video; look forward to the next one.
Sorry, but 4 days is just TOO SHORT !!! I go here around 10 days, 2 times a year, for at least 30 years, and I have still a LOT to see ! Gran Canaria just RULES !!! You need at least 9 days !!!
Love your videos but why do I get the impression that you spend most of your time eating? It is a wonder you are not overweight !! By the way you missed half of Gran Canaria- I know because I have been four times.
@@CharliePauly If you plan to go again Palmitos Park, which is a zoo-themed botanical park, is a must. Also go and see the lighthouse at Faro du Maspalamos, which is close to the hotel you stayed at. It's a useful reference point so you don't get lost when walking round that area.
