I want to share my thoughts on the Decathlon/ Olaian Mini Simmons Surfboard with a foamy texture and dimensions of 5'4" x 22.5" x 2.5" (44 litres). In my opinion, this board is not only affordable but also durable. Although it may take some time to get used to its unique shape, it can be incredibly fun to surf once you get the hang of it. Thanks to its easy-to-paddle design, it is accessible to both beginners and advanced surfers. You can spend hours catching waves and having a blast with this board.

You are a good board reviewer. I like how you just share how it went for you, rather than obsessing over technical details and marketing hype. Those are some elegant rides as well, all the way to the sand :)

Nice review ! I had this board since a bit more than 2 years and surf it when the condition are a bit weak or on shorebreak. The board aged up well as you said I avoid exposing it to sun so no problem on the pad or delamination of the underneath, my main issue as been the fins snapping off i lost three fins so far on it. It's been the best fun for buck ratio board of my quiver I have to admit and I had quite lot of fun learning riding it finless too you should give it a try !

what makes you ride these kinds of boards vs traditional pu or epoxy ?

Hey, I'm trying to build up to riding short, hard boards again. But I had a severely frozen shoulder, and I have been conscious of hitting my shoulder with the board. I also don't want to commit big money to a board that I hopefully won't be riding sometime soon🤞 Those are the main reasons. The mini Simmons was so cheap has a really small rail, and is relatively light; it seemed like an excellent transitional surfboard and is a lot of fun! 😀🤙

I love olaian mini simmons. I use it with high performance fins. How have you put the central fin?

Hi @javisnz6777, it's just a soft board fin I had spare; I made the holes with a drill. Yeah, it's a really fun board. It made all the difference having the small middle fin for me. Do you have high-performance fins in the same soft board? I should try that. Thanks for your comment 😀🤙

How did you put the middle finger on I thought it only came with 2 fins?

Hey, I had and old softboard fin in my shed. I made two holes with a screwdriver and drill and put the fin in. It's a small fin that works well. You can pick up soft board fins, and I think they even sell them in Decathlon😀🤙
