Great video Sanjee. Does AUS have a tax-free wrapper like the ISAs we have in the UK? My emergency funds are in an ISA as cash alongside my ETFs. I think the allowance for this year is £20k.
Hi Cams! We don't quite have any tax-free options. But I think our superannuation accounts have reduced tax environments. But it's difficult to extract money from them in proper emergencies. We're not as advanced as the UK it seems
Hi Sanjee, Very informative video. Could you advise if there is a systemic investment plan 'SIP' in Australia ? As per my knowledge there are some plans available in India.
Hi Sanjee, where to buy Vanguard ETF from? Directly from their website as they are not charging anything to buy and we can top up every month? Or from other platforms. But my bank Anz charges $19.95 for one transaction. Please help. Thanks
Hi JamWit, that’s a great question. No you don’t have to pay any taxes in that event. In fact you can include as a capital loss in future tax submissions. This site has more info www.ato.gov.au/General/Capital-gains-tax/Shares,-units-and-similar-investments/Capital-losses-on-shares-and-units/
