How strong are the clips holding the first box onto the vac? I have a festool vac and quite often just use the systainer handle to lift the whole vaccum with one hand. Do you think these will break?

They are quite sturdy! I wouldn't say fool-proof if you're attempting to lift the 1230 extractor with 3-4 cases, however it is very usable for day to day work. I hope that answers your question!
