Why You NEED To Play Disney Dreamlight Valley! 

This game is loterally everything everyone wanted and asked for in ACNH, but Disney themed. I never preorder any games as a general rule. But I broke it for DLV. I haven't regretted it a single time. The only thing I regret is not getting one of the bigger founders packs.

I'm obsessed with this game, and my issue is truly personal however I sincerely hope the devs take this into consideration.. Like many others, I have epilepsy and unfortunately due to the storms looking like a line of photographers on the red carpet, I have to sit out the storms entirely. Which can take a hot minute sometimes. I'm hoping they'll add a sensitivity option so we can turn off or tone down the lightning for those of us sensitive. The rest of this game is *literally* perfect and it consumes my thoughts throughout the day 😅

So... i wanted to wait til it was free and then today i won a giveaway and won the 70€ version. i'm still shocked, i'm so happy

for someone who isn't obsessed with disney (aka me) it still is such a beautiful game and so fun to play! im loving finding the characters i do love and know and im excited to see where the game goes!

Seriously, I had 0 intention of getting this game but after playing Ooblets and seeing how similar this game was to the lifestyle, I caved and I am honestly enjoying it. Yea it's a bit laggy and the loading screens are a bit annoying but it's just so relaxing and fun and the characters are so pleasant. I highly recommend

I'm loving this game. I have it on my Switch Lite and while the menus are slow the game is really fun. I also picked up the same white flower dress and my vibe for the game is going to be ballgowns and no shoes, reliving my childhood with no complaints.

I bought the ultimate bundle. I love it so far. Figure for the gameplay it's no different than if I bought a triple a game and I'm getting a lot out of it so far and can't wait to see what it's become. It seems like they really listened to what the AC community wanted and did that; I LOVE bulk crafting 😂

Great review. I've found this game nearly impossible to put down since grabbing it yesterday. It's just. so. good! Also, I loved your YT stream yesterday. I've caught you on Twitch a few times, but honestly YT is where I spend most of my internet time, so it's just more convenient for me personally. I totally get why streamers tend to prefer Twitch, and I def plan to catch you there whenever I remember to check, but I really love that you're considering the occasional stream here, too. I love this game! I play it on pc, It’s free on game pass right now. I also discovered you can edit the entire town. The trees, those ugly barrels in front of your house, all of it can be moved when placing furniture so I moved all my apple trees to one spot. I’m having a lot of fun with it!

I think if Disney made a game where you could recreate all the rides in Disneyland and actually enjoy the rides ( like VR) I think that would be epic. Where you could make in game purchases to unlock new lands in the park and recreate the rides? Imagine the endless possibility, open sandbox Disney world without the lines.

I have it on my ps5 and I’m obsessed. 17 hours in and I have Wall•E on my island and I’m so happy 😭 I got the ultimate edition because I have zero self control 😅 I’m wondering why nobody has compared it to Grow Song of the Evertree yet!! It’s so much like it!

I’ve always been a gamer, but for a good couple of years I lost my motivation to want to play anything since Breath of The Wild (which I spent around 6 months every evening after putting my daughter to bed playing 😂) This game has me addicted. I feel excited to play and unwind when I can with Dreamlight Valley and Its so fun unlocking characters ❤ Cant wait for updates and to see where this could go!

I’ve completely ignored this game and was so surprised to see some streamers play it and I fell in love with it! I’m having so much fun playing it, can’t wait for more character updates!

I went ahead and purchased the base game for early access, but really couldn’t justify spending more for cosmetic items. Hoping I will enjoy this!

The cosmetic items for the deluxe and ultimate packs are very nice, but I think the biggest draw for them is going to be the premium currency. Even though it's not a thing right now, when the game store launches I'm guessing that premium currency in those values is going to be the price of the founders packs. So 8,000 for $30. 20,000 for $70. So you're basically getting all those cosmetics "free" once the currency is activated. I'm guessing there will be lower tiers like 500 for $7 or something like that, which will not be enough to truly buy anything good. So, having a mass of currency up front plus the bonus items will be nice. That seems to be the way it is with other similar free to play models, at least.

Im loving the game. The slow menus can be slightly frustrating but overall still playable. I personally say it was worth the money but I do have to say take caution because even though I say it was worth it doesn't mean it is. Its worth it for me on nostalgia and just love for Disney make it worth it for me

I did get this … couldn’t resist. I’m really enjoying it. A bit buggy though. Right now I have Wall-e following me around while I harass squirrels trying to feed them, but no prompt. This went on for hours, until I decided that I’d play the rest of the game with Wall-e following me. Lucky I love him. 😂

I got the ultimate edition on the switch and I don’t regret it either. It’s so much fun and the clothes and furniture you get are totally worth it. But I was also able to use cloud save and events tab day 1 on the switch, so I’m not sure why not everyone could.

This is like kingdom hearts meets animal crossing, literally my dream game I had no doubt I was gonna buy it in early access but now I know I’m buying the most expensive pack lol thanks for your video it really helped reaffirm what I knew q

I knew nothing about this game till I saw a brief trailer a week ago, and then on launch day I saw a live play on the Outside Xbox RU-vid channel and was basically "..Well, I MUST own this game." and bought it as soon as I got home from work. Loving every second of it so far. I have taken an INSANE amount of selfies with WALL-E.

Not so patiently waiting for them to release it on Mac so I can join in on the fun! I am glad they said us Mac users wouldn't lose out on founder's goodies and deals either.

You managed to change my mind completely on this game, went from writing it off to being into it because it’s on sale so was an easy decision. I can see how it was a mobile game because of the energy tasks etc but it’s fun and I’m glad I bought it

One small correction, it's not available on Android or iOS yet. They've discussed that they want the full game release to be ready before putting it out on those platforms. But yes I agree it's a fantastic game and I'm having a blast so far!

Just an FYI, if you have XBox Game Pass, you can play this for free right now and you appear to have the very base founders pack items as well. Cloud Save wouldn't work for me yesterday either, but I am going to get it working so when it comes out for free on Switch I can still have my items. Thank you for showing the difference! My Xbox is an older one and seemed to run a little faster than your description of switch, but slower than pc.

I was so skeptical wether i'd like it or not after i watched some gameplay and videos like yours. But playing it, it was mindblowing. So relaxing, so easy and intuitive. I'm so glad i can play it for a few hours unlike in animal crossing! Also character creation is simple but awesome, i mean characters looks very charming (both male and female). I'm glad it runs well on switch but i play it on serie S.

You can actually play this game for almost free ($1 USD) if you sign up for Xbox Game Pass under their trial, no actual console needed as you can play in your browser. The only limitation is that it seems like it only has controller support, not keyboard/mouse (not yet anyway, allegedly to be incorporated on more cloud games). I have Game Pass and have been having a lovely time playing, not really sure what I'm missing from the different tiered packs and I don't really care!

Your stream/coverage of this game got me to look into it on Game Pass. I was playing it for countless hours on my Xbox last night. I'm considering buying the Ultimate Edition tonight after midnight, when my paycheck comes in. I'll just play on Xbox for now, which will likely remain my primary platform, enjoy all the extra goodies, and wait for it to become free to play to transfer my progress to Switch and PC/Steam Deck.

IF YOU WANT MORE COSMETICS... (for any platform). on steam and epic games you can download the avatar creator. after creating the avatar, it will give you a code. YOU CAN PUT THE CODE IN EVEN AFTER YOU CREATE A CHARACTER! it doesn't matter if you download it on epic games, you can still put the code on your steam or switch. this means that if you never used a code you can then add all the items you want on your character

I’m pretty sure I can wait till it’s free, lol. I don’t actually like any of the items in the founders packs. Plus I only have a switch, it can be like Stitch because they both can glitch. XD Lilo and Stitch is my favourite disney movie, I couldn’t stop myself, lol. But I did see Remi in a let’s play and that temps me, but not enough yet to buy. Glad to see you having fun.

I have it on Switch, ultimate pkg. My game crashed, I got an error and it closed the game down. I have no fruit on trees or bushes. A bit of lag opening the menus, it’s consistent. It’s ‘early release’ I definitely expected glitches. 🤞 they update and fix issues as they happen. I’m glad to support the creators. 😊 This game is Well Done! ♥️👍👍

the character creator is on steam for free, so if u want to continuously make ur character/OC get the creator!! its so good!

I got so lucky. My b day was on the 29th of august and this came out on the 6th of september so my parents and brother clubbed together and bought me the ultimate edition pre order! 🥳

I'm obsessed it's sooooo good! Definitely lots of hiccups on the Switch with performance so I hope they will be fixed soon (including crashes)

I have admittedly pumped almost 20 hours into this game. The puzzles aren't too hard, but being able to pretty much have free reign over everything is pretty great. In ACNH money is a huge problem. Also not being able to play properly at night was a bit annoying. This game fixed that issue entirely. I just don't know how many characters truly are available. The game says there are 17 but the promotional art has beauty and the beast, stitch, and more, but I cannot find them. However, Wall-E is the cutest character on the planet and my favorite. being able to have more time with this character is fantastic.

As of today I would not recommend anybody buying this game for the switch. It’s ridiculous the developer said they fixed bugs like constant crashing and other things and it has not been fixed at all. It’s almost a crying shame that anybody would buy it for the switch and do not purchase it for the goody pack because he won’t use any of those items in your game except for maybe the balloon. I have tried to replay it and it still crashes about every four minutes. And it doesn’t save to the cloud save so you are at the risk of losing everything and having to start over. I have purchased it for PS five and it works OK still has a little crash issue in two weeks maybe four times it crashed. But do not buy it for the switch. If they’re gonna give it up free next year wait till then because it’s not worth it

Me and my boyfriend are waiting for the complete full game release to play it together next year. Hopefully it comes out early 2023 but we will see. I'm glad people are enjoying the game it gives us something to look forward to.

I’m already love it and played it for nearly under 20 hours already. From what I’ve been playing for roughly 2 days now. Also, for the other characters, that looks like an update for later on from within the castle. Which, could be possible here. So, I hope they fix bit of minor glitches that is slightly happening for the time being.

I was so worried that I would have was wasted my money. But I was wrong. This game is so addictive. I got it for ps5 and haven’t stopped playing. It’s not hard and frankly basic. But it’s such a good game in that way. I usually don’t even like cosmetic things in games. But I do in this. My house feels so relaxing lol. I really really love this game and don’t regret paying the maximum price for it.

I finally broke and got myself the game, knowing I’d be obsessed. It reminds me of a now-defunct game called Free Realms, which did have Disney ad tie in items at points.

I kinda wish I brought my switch with me because I'm actually at Disney world now, but at the same time I'm glad because I really want this on my ps5.

I’m loving the game on my switch. My game did bug out a bit when I unlocked the castle and I was able to unlock two portals and not just one. Which isn’t really a bad thing lol 😂 I’ve had a few issues with it crashing but after a second software update I haven’t been experiencing many crashes. Thank you for the review. I’m so glad that I got the deluxe version. I will definitely be putting it on my PC.

I’m addicted I played for like 8 hours straight yesterday 😭

I was originally not gonna get it because I thought it looked too mobile game-like but I caved in and bought it out of curiosity. The Switch version is really laggy and it crashed once on me but thank goodness for the auto save so I didn’t lose too much. Either way, for once in my life, I think the fun far outweighs the lag and crashes. There’s so much you can do and unlock and I’m genuinely surprised that this game will be free (+ cosmetic monetisation) next year.

It was your video that convinced me to get it! ACNH got me through lockdown, etc, but I have done 99% of it and now it’s just “maintenance” and a little boring. So I got the game and played for three hours until I finally had to stop and make dinner:)

Not sure if anyone's mentioned this in the comments, but I was able to download the game on the Xbox One X for free, basically; I'm on the Game Pass Ultimate which is not free but which costs $15 a month so technically it's not free. :-) In any case, the game is absolutely amazing, I absolutely agree with that point. But, my primary platform, when I get it back, will be the computer as always. I'm primarily a computer gamer; the 60 frames per second footage versus the Nintendo switch version instantly reconfirms that to me :-) and cross progression will definitely help that. However, I believe that we Game Pass users are limited to the base founders pack, and like you said, we probably won't be able to change it later. Oh well. Keep up the wonderful work as always, Iona! I love watching your videos.

Switch version tends to crash after playing for a while and then trying to open the menus. This has been quite consistent from what I noticed so far. Auto save doesn’t save often enough so be prepared to repeat quests and lose collected items etc

Finally they are creating something similar to Disney Magical World which was on the DS, you had to battle bosses in that one though. I'm excited, I can't wait for the hard copy.

Probably going to wait for this to be free since I'd have to play it on switch and the performance issues plus the items just aren't worth the cost to me, but I think I'll definitely get it when it's available!

I just have two questions: 1) Are clothes gender-locked? 2) You mentioned you can change eeeverything in that wardrobe tab - can we also switch (hue hue, get it? switch. I am not gonna apologize) body features - hair, eyes (and gender)? I am so happy I found your channel + I just love the review!

Ahhhhhh it has like a kingdom hearts vibe to it too with the soundtrack but wow, I’m playing it mobile with Xbox game pass/cloud gaming. It’s beautiful and nostalgic

i love it a lot even tho i had several crashes and it even froze several times but due to it saving the game so often it has not bothered me at all~ so excited to see how much it is gonna develop until release 💖

The game is gorgeous and has so much potential. If you change the controller sensitivity settings on the switch, the menus will run better. This was after playing a few times with my cousin

This game is in my wishlist and I've had to say, I'm a lil bit hyped for it. I think I'll buy it on sale one day but I really hope they'll update the game regularly so we can maybe hang out with Frozen, Coco and Encanto characters and future Disney movies as well! ❤️ That would be so damn awesome! Also do we only get a single room apartment for saving the Disney world? Really? 🤨 I'm soo disappointed, I want my own damn castle!! And one question about dating: is it possible to actually date the characters? Same sex ones as well?? I want my damn lesbian date with Elsa even if it's only for once in my life 🤣 and poor laddie Bruno needs more love as well!

I'm in love with this game! The only thing that bothers me is the world edit mode, I feel like the joycon is too sensitive when I try to place and select stuff (I play on a switch lite).

I have it on PC it's gets slightly laggy, but its really fun! Highly recommend! I love fishing. You can get so much money fishing early on and making food!
