Hello Everyone, In this video, I have discussed what are the pros and cons of being an ISRO Scientist. Hopefully, it will be helpful for future aspirants to choose their decision in a better way. #isro #icrb #pros #cons
Sir right now i am preparing for jee advanced and i am planning to joint IIST my goal is very clear that i want to do dual degree with mtech in astrophysics and astronomy, After i have watched your video it is still clear to me that isro is good option for me as i always wanted to do research in space and science even if i am getting decent salary i think the amount of knowledge and confidence IIST will give me, its more than anything ❤❤
Thank you so much for the clear explanation about your experience in ISRO sir. I am also crazy to join ISRO but was having many doubts and confusions .after watching your video i got an idea how the work space in ISRO will be.
Yes people work damn harder in ISRO compared to other sectors. For example if we have some testing which lasts for 24hrs we should be present there for 24 hours of testing and collect the datas. And work even in weekends as well. But it is worth it
Very Informative video 👍👍 I'll like to give a suggestion for your future videos, you can think of making some videos related to your PhD experiences. I think many of the undergraduates, or Graduate Engineers from tier-3 or lower tier colleges don't have good idea about the kind of work a research scholar executes in daily basis, the challenges they go through, the role of an supervisor, some of the characteristics & mindset a PhD candidate generally have, and overall how different it is to pursue a Research oriented degree compared to courseworks in BTech or MTech degree, such insights will be very helpful for research enthusiasts
Sir, you have Cleared my doubts almost 90 percent Currently I am working as Research Scientist at BEL willing to work at ISRO in future but after this video i hope switching to other private R & D organization will be better...Thanks a lot sir..
If you talk about job satisfaction then i want to comment that if you keen to do new things.. yeah it's take time to put forward in regular practice but atleast you started a culture that culture building is important...so it's depends on individual..no one stops you for doing that other things is cool...
Is it true that, a large number of Scientists in Computer Science are being placed in VSSC Trivandrum. Can we give our location preference, after getting selected.
It was the great vedio sir..But can u clarify me that if we want to work in the main branch of ISRO which is in Bangalore.. but if we are appointed in some other places like north side..Do we have any options to refuse that and trying to be in Bangalore only?
sir will isro conducts/releases scientists notification for ece or not? it only released civil mech I am 28yrs and looking fwd to this as final hope to fulfill my dream atleast any response but the truth is needed sir
No no they used to release for every discipline but not at the same time. Whenever they will have requirement for ece they will recruit them. So keep following
Dear sir, can you plz clarify if scientific assistant in ISRO is also hectic job, do they are also pressurised, can one have good work-life balance being scientific asst..........
In ISRO, its never too chill like other so called "Govt Job" nor too much pressure like Private jobs. Its in between. Offcourse before launch if you part of a team who takes care of launch then you might need to do extra work. But you will get additional leave for it.
I am an ece engineer. I want to know how is the work inside for a scientist /or ece engineer. Should i have sound knowledge about the stream of engineering i have done? Or i get proper training and i can cope up with the work there? Please reply
Once you join, you will be given a division and a team based on ur skill or degree. Then it's hands-on. No training as such. You will start working with your seniors and will be expert in your field or task
@@kishalaydas so good fundamental knowledge about my engineering branch should be needed right? Or will i be able to manage it? Are these works based on what i studied during engineering or can i pick it up as something new and learn on the go?
Hello Sir, 1. they used to have openings for all engineering branches like ECE,CSE, EE, ME,Civil and everyone can apply. 2. Regarding notification, there is no fixed timing. you need to keep checking their career website regularly. Link is www.isro.gov.in/careers
Sir great video There is a notification for icrb exam which clearly states posting is in bangalore, so sir if we want bangalore only then if we clear all rounds then can we expect bangalore location since it says location bengaluru
Hi bro, i had ambition in college to work in isro but unfortunately i landed in automobile r&d design and making around 15L CtC. Almost my age is 30. Now im worrying why not joined in isro. What is your advice bro should i continue my current job or try for isro .
Crack JEE with a good score, complete Btech in CS/IT/ECE/ME/EE from a good college..then you can appear for the selection process. (Written Test and Interview)
I would say crack JEE and directly join IIST which directly recruits their BTech/Dual Degree students to ISRO directly (provided CGPA>7). You can say that IIST is ISRO's own university and most of the ISRO scientists are from IIST.
Civil has lot of opportunities..in my centre ..civil has lot of works..even things are getting delayed bcs of so many civil works comes for new development..
Sir my son has dream to do job in ISRO. I want to ask that after doing job in isro fir some years if a person want to change job in private sector then will he get opportunity easily to shift
Hello Madam, Frankly, it not so easy to switch, once you worked at ISRO for quite some time.Because, in ISRO we work in very specific technology related to space, which dont have much application outside in industry. Still, I have seen few people like me, who left ISRO within couple of years and settled in other places. But thats very rare quantity. Finally, I would say, if working at ISRO is his dream, let him follow it. He might find it interesting.
@@kishalaydas Sorry for not able to frame the question. My query was regarding the location. Do cse people also don't get a chance for Bangalore location
@@kishalaydas Sir , I think in some video of Ashish Ranjan, i heard that you can't have other source of income than this job... And I supposed that trading is also kind of source of income....

There are many ways 1. You can join Indian institute of space science and technology (www.iist.ac.in/) to do your bachelors in space science and directly get into ISRO. 2. Or else, you can do your btech in ECE/EE/CSE and clear isro exams and interview to be in ISRO. Let me know if you have any further queries?
