Why You Should Be EXTREMELY Careful With Secular Music 

I realized this when I stopped listening to secular music. When this happens to me I pray for God to replace it with scripture music. I pray for the Holy Spirit to remove it from my mind and not allow it to share space with Him within me.

A musician told me not to listen to his music nor anyone else's bc he'd sold his soul. He explained that sound engineers, radio DJs etc leave bread crumbs for us to open our own portals. From what Ive heard you cannot sell your soul as it was already purchased. There are some good videos on youtube about this. Now the belief that one has may cause them still serious problems, allegiances and connections to a side they best not tangle with that said.

He can help you through it. Have you deleted or thrown away all of your secular music? Some people go that route, then only listen to Christian music after the purge. You can still listen to all kinds of music, just stay away from music that promotes promiscuity, drugs/partying, violence, and money (greed) &materialistic values Check out Londrelle and other artists that are spiritual/Christian based and go from there Remember God can open the path for our deliverance but it's up to us to move out feet, take the steps, and walk the path ❤ The less you listen to music that promotes low vibrational activity the less you will miss it and even reach a point where you don't like or resonate with it anymore. I completely agree! While I was in H.S., I wasn't involved in any ministry at my church. So, my youth pastor encouraged me to learn drumset(simce no one else wanted to become a drummer) to be a part of the music ministry. But he also cautioned me that the enemy weaponizes music to lead ppl astray. Esp believers. He was the first person to inform me that even after his failed mutiny of heaven & God's throne, satan still retained his abilities & charisma. esp. in music. I still remember that conversation like it happened the night before. So while I was searching for a private instructor, I looked for someone who specialized in instrumental jazz(e.g.: Davis, Monk, Coltrane, Gillespie, Parker, Brown to name a few) As odd as ot may sound, I didn't listen music very often growing up. So when I began taking private lessons, I was a blank slate. Even though I would be required primarily to play rock patterns in a worship setting, I did not expose myself to listening to rock, or any other form of popular music. I listened only to instrumental music. incl. Funk & Fusion. It was the mid-late 90's, and I heard all sorts of depravity from music that was popular amongst my peers whenever I was at school. Which only vindicated the warnings from my youth pastor before I started learning music. I joined concert, jazz, & marching bands in school, and was ridiculed by my peers for refusing to listen to secular music with them. But I understood what was more important: guarding my heart. I held fast to my preferences even to this day. Although I retired from the music ministry at my church over a decade ago, I know that I am much bettervoff in the long run for avoiding the popular musicians & their worldly lyrics. My walk with the Lord has only grown stronger since making that commitment to instrumental music(except during corporate worship on sunday morning. I still prefer old hymns) when I was a teenager. Greater peace of mind, Clear thinking, better emotional regulation, better discernment, fewer temptations, and richer more authentic fellowship w/God & other believers. Looking back, it was worth the sacrifice and ridicule. God deserves all the glory for giving me good counsel, wisdom, and protection. When I learned that worship artists like hillsong utd., david crowder, matt redman, and others' songs i used to play on sunday mornings were heretical, or had close ties helping & endorsing false teachers, I knew I had to step away from the music ministry altogether. But I am still grateful to God fof the opportunity to serve through music for 20+yrs.

I been noticing for a few years how female artists basically "compete" for his love through love songs. Doja Cat in the song Streets, Rhianna in her songs especially when she first was trying to win his love, in her song I don't wanna be a murderer she says "he's more than a man", cause he's not even human. And how Arianna grande was top girl for a while with all her love songs that were actually for the dark one. And she was beloved too because of her childlike features and smallness because we know that the dark forces are heavily into pedoph*lia

My brother, a former rock musician for 55 yrs passed away at 60. He gave his life to Christ nine months before he died in '22 from cancer. He said to me, I'm not playing/ recording that music anymore, just before he died. He was working on a worship CD. 🙏😇

Just because a song is secular does not automatically mean its bad. Yes, the majority of secular music are bad, but not all. There are some great secular music.

The guy who got influenced from an ad that said I want to be like Mike. (Michael Jordan). Scared me from that point.

@@zerosoma33, When record companies give recording artists contracts on their labels, they pay for studio recording time, production, promotion, all the things an artist can’t do by themselves. This has changed in recent years with artists self promoting because they have the talent and fan base by themselves. Major record labels in the past would take the master recording tape, the finished product to use as the standard for the copies distributed in the mass market. They would do the rituals I described before that happened to give it the power and popularity.

The original recording is called the master which is the official final version of the music they recorded and will make all the copies for sale from.
