These cars have totally come into their own. I love the bug lights. These are the ones to buy.

I love the fried egg lights too, the first shape are the most iconic looking to me!

Love the content mate, I am looking at a 04 Cayenne Turbo (Dark blue with that grey interior you don't like haha) as a second car, the videos are invaluable!! Will watch a few more before deciding whether to take the plunge...

Thanks for the feedback Stephen! Really glad my content has added value, that’s why I love making them! Is that dark blue one on autotrader, the one with the wood trim on the dash? It’s been an excellent second car for me, has most definitely exceeded my expectations and if I ever was to own another SUV again, it would be a Porsche Cayenne Turbo for sure!
@stephencraig9710
@stephencraig9710 Год назад
You’re welcome! Yes that’s the one, I missed out on the other dark blue turbo with 82k miles on the clock, also still on Autotrader but they’ve taken a deposit. So mulling over this one today!

@@stephencraig9710 I did see that one, it’s tremendous value for a car with so little mileage! Definitely the spec I would go for too if I could’ve chosen. But I do like bold interiors so I would probably like the Havana interior colour, which is very bold! That dark blue colour is magnificent looking as well. I hope all goes well and you get that other blue one, if there is anything else you’d like me to cover, I’ll see if I can get it filmed. As I’m selling my Cayenne, and I don’t know how much longer I’ll be owning it for!

I have a 2006 twin turbo cayenne champagne with beige interior, 90k miles, excellent condition. Best reliable car.

Goddamit they are tempting 😅😂 I looked at getting one years back but got an AMG instead. That drank fuel like crazy too. Do you know if the turbos are better or worse for reliability than the normally aspirated 4.5L Cayennes? Great video btw 🙌
@NathanMannin
@NathanMannin Год назад
Thank you Adam! 😁 They really are a compelling package! Th Oooo, I like AMG’s! I have a C63 in addition to my Cayenne Turbo, what AMG did you have? I think the general consensus is that the Turbo is slightly more reliable, as it’s not affected by bore scoring like the other models are.
@eztyson
@eztyson Год назад
@@NathanMannin I had a CLK55 AMG. I loved it tbh. An elegant sleeper of a car. I’ve been thinking of getting one again as I miss the V8 sound. The Turbo Cayenne looks amazing too. Given the funds I hope I can have both one day 🤦‍♂️😂 Thanks for the reliability info, I seemed to vaguely remember the Turbos were meant to be more reliable, which surprised me as I’d have expected the reverse. So are you just planning on keeping the Turbo for a short time and then switch it out for something else and hoping to not lose any money? I really should think about doing that to have a few more cars over the years. I struggle to sell cars when I like them.
@NathanMannin
@NathanMannin Год назад
@@eztyson I really love those, such great value for money too and look timeless! I almost forgot they even did a CLK63 AMG too, I’ve never seen one in person. The good thing about them both, is that they’re not expensive to buy these days 😁 I will be selling soon to move onto something different. I was only meant to keep the Cayenne short term due to my RU-vid series I’m doing, but due buying a bit of lemon 🍋, I spent a lot of time fixing it, before I could actually enjoy it 😆 So I’ve made a loss on this car unfortunately, but I would say it’s been worth it. Thoroughly enjoyed the ownership and getting a first hand experience of what SUV ownership is like. I share a similar sentiment to you. I want to experience all the weird and wonderful cars out there, before they get too expensive to run with the world forcing us into EV’s ☹️
@eztyson
@eztyson Год назад
@@NathanMannin We definitely have similar tastes in cars. I completely agree about the CLK AMGs being timeless. I think I’ll end up getting one and just keeping it forever. Long term they’ll only go up, similar to most decent cars in the 15-20 year old bracket. That’s one of the best parts about cars that age you shouldn’t lose out on depreciation. Maybe you get hit with unexpected costs, but a lot can be mitigated via preventative measures. Also I’d recommend getting any future cars youre interested in independently checked out. It only costs ~£300 for Mercs and I’m sure it’ll be similar for other brands. They’ll go out and inspect and give you a full breakdown, you’ll then have a very good idea of what you’re signing up for on a purchase and can normally negotiate the car price down if anything is found and that normally covers the inspection price anyway 😃 Do you know what car you’re looking to replace the Cayenne with?
@NathanMannin
@NathanMannin Год назад
@@eztyson How was your CLK55 ownership in terms of running costs and reliability, did you have a coupe? Sometimes I wish I didn’t jump straight to the C63, so I could experience and appreciate the CL 55 or CLK 55 more! That’s a really good point you’ve made there really, I went in alone with my partner, both of us aren’t mechanically minded so we missed a lot of defects when buying the Cayenne. Next time we will bringing one of our good friends who’s got a keen eye in terms of finding what’s a lemon or not 😉 If not we will get an expert to have a look at it like you said! There are so many weird cars on my list which I want next, I have such strange taste which is very diverse, I just don’t know what to get! They’re around the same era of the Cayenne, mainly inspired by racing games I used to play when I was younger. That’s why I started this series, so I can buy cars from my childhood racing games 🚘

Hello Richard, I kind of covered that in my latest video but it’s more of time reasoning than anything. I want to experience as much cars as possible whilst we’re still in world we can. I’ve had an epic time with the Cayenne and it’s exceeded my expectations tenfold, I love the car very much indeed! I know it won’t sell quickly, so I still have time to create content with it if there’s anything you’d like me to film?
@richard1galvin

Hi there Nathan, many thanks for reply. What is your mileage per month and overall costing per month? Servicing costs? Have you done any maintenance within your ownership?
@NathanMannin
@NathanMannin Год назад
@@richard1galvin I’ve the covered costs in this video. I’ve done the steering rack, front discs and pads, handbrake dampener (common fault) and a replacement radiator hose as it perished. Mileage is really low a month, probably less than 100 miles. Cost per month, maybe £150 a month just to keep the car running on the road. (not including parts) Would be more expensive a month if I drove it more, it roughly gets 14mpg with my sort of driving which is mainly town and B roads! : )
